It was quite a game though but at first didn't expect Chelsea to actually qualify at the hands of Newcastle united but it seems Newcastle united are still struggling although they they had a comfortable win against Fulham during their weekend clash but this night was not good for them as Chelsea manage to equalized their first half lead and win the game on penalties.

If Everton could keep up with the others teams like they did against Fulham tonight in EFL Cup. They were one goal behind then managed to get the draw and goes to penalties up to 7 tries before the defeat. At least they tried their best.
Everton had been in difficulty in the last two seasons and continues with that rhythm this season until they invest cleverly to improve the team.
In the other matches of EFL Cup, Newcastle were leading the whole time by one goal until extra time Chelsea scored and penalties were in favour of Chelsea! A very bad ending for Newcastle in that competition. I expect them to invest in this winter transfer window to improve the squad and their results.

Dyche's arrival actually gave a breath of fresh air compared to some of their previous coaches although it is possible they still cannot return to the mid-table but at least at this time they are still quite good in terms of performance and now they just have to be able to continue to be consistent to continue to rise from the downturn of reducing points.
Currently 4 consecutive wins even with tough opponents like Newcastle and Chelsea it is a separate motivation for them so now their job is only to continue to maintain momentum so that this situation does not break which results in their performance faltering.

I actually think that Everton this season is not really good. They were almost in the relegation zone several times and even now they are in the bottom zone. So, this is not good enough for those who are usually in middle team positions. They have several problems, both in management and in the squad itself, which is not good enough this season. Yes, even though Everton sometimes seems quite strong against certain clubs, the fact that Everton's performance is quite poor cannot be denied.

Onana is sometimes not at his best during important matches such as in the Champions League where he often makes blunders which result in Manchester United losing. I think he hasn't found his best form yet at Manchester United because when Onana was still at Inter Milan he was able to perform well because Inter Milan had strong defenders who were ready to help Onana when the opposing team attacked them.

This season, Manchester United has a defender crisis because several defenders are injured which makes their defense not very strong, so Onana has to work extra hard to be the last wall in guarding the goal. In the match against liverpool Onana was able to block several accurate kicks and I think he should do that job in every match he plays.

What you have said that is the truth and nothing but the truth. The difficulty that Manchester United new goalkeeper is facing in the club is mainly caused by the inadequacy of Manchester United defence. I will not say that Manchester United defence is totally bad. Why it appears that it is very very bad is because there have been series of injuries in the Manchester United defence. If the Manchester United defence is complete, it will be a different story. Manchester United new goalkeeper knows how to use his leg very well and he is a good passer, with time, if Manchester United has a good defence the goalkeeper will adapt and become the star he used to be.
It seems that Erik Ten Hang understands this, that is why he isn't talking about replacing Onana.

Manchester United is just a little better than Chelsea. I can't call that inconsistency because for a team to be inconsistent, they have to be good at times. Manchester United have been poor too. They couldn't qualify out of a group with Copenhagen and Galatasaray. That's not inconsistency, that's bad.
For this season, I don't think they'll be back to any good form. Maybe they may get a little better but they will not be good enough to make it to the top 6. Their problems is not a problem that can be fixed within w short period.

I think Manchester United and Chelsea are just equal because there performance are actually the same and they are very inconsistent in times of wining because the reason why I said they are equal is that the kind of energy and performance they put on there match against Manchester City on that faithful day, that made them to draw the match, so perhaps I doubt of Manchester United would pulled the same performance Chelsea did on that match because it doesn't take Manchester City time to win Manchester United but whenever Manchester City meet Chelsea is always difficult for them to win Chelsea, so that's why I believe there both strength are just equal, I no that the last time Manchester United and Chelsea meet it was not favourable for Chelsea and they lose against Manchester United but still I believe there performance is still equal.

Chelsea started meaning business with striking the moment that lazy Jackson was removed. I mentioned on the weekend games against Sheffield that wonders will happen when Broja is played to support Nkunku. The pressure on Newcastle defense immediately Nkunku entered is what they couldn't contain because himself and Broja had that force to destabilise defense which Led to the confusion on the Newcastle player and Modryk was very smart to take advantage of that expensive error.
Pochettino should learn his lessons now or face sack as coach. Unfortunately, after taking the lead in the 16th minute, Newcastle were unable to maintain their lead, and Chelsea were very lucky at the end of the match that Mudryk was able to equalize. however, there were only a few minutes of extra time remaining. in this match, Newcastle had difficulty getting out of the pressure after winning first. Chelsea launched attack after attack to equalize. However, of the 15 total shots they took, only 4 were on target, 6 shots were blocked and only 1 big chance. this match seemed to be going one way, and Chelsea controlled 78% of ball possession. Newcastle just tried to withstand attack after attack that Chelsea built. what is certain is that Newcastle only had one counterattack and was able to convert it well into a goal. after that, the game was completely dominated by Chelsea. unfortunately, Newcastle also lost in the penalty shootout. and this match was according to my predictions for 90 minutes of normal running time. previously, I predicted that there would not be many goals in this match. that's why the under 3 goals option is the ideal choice. or, +0.75 handicap option for Newcastle at odds @1.90. final result, in normal time the match ended 1-1. and if anyone bets according to my prediction, congratulations on winning the bet in this match. and for Newcastle fans, they must be willing to let their team lose in the Quarterfinal match. for Blues fans, at least their favorite team has a chance to win a trophy in the EFL competition. although it seems Liverpool will be a tough opponent if in tomorrow's match they beat West Ham. and yeah, at least this match was quite entertaining even though it wasn't what I expected from both teams.

I think this isn't a good idea for the team not buying any player during the winter. Reading through the link, John Murtough said this to warn the team against against financial fair play breaches. Let's see how there performance will be after inter without any new signing.

It is not this season(2023/2024) that Everton will begin to save themselves from the relegation zone of the premier league table. They have done that for up to three consecutive seasons and they successfully made it through to the next season. Is it this season that they are performing better than the present three relegated clubs(Luton, Burnley, and Sheffield), that they can't save themselves from? Upon their 10-point deduction, they are above the three mentioned relegated clubs.

It's true, they are focused on moving forward even when they were badly damaged, in the last 4 games they had games against strong teams like Newcastle and Chelsea and I was even seeing them lose points in those two games, especially in the game against Newcastle, but I was very surprised that everton beat newcastle in a game in which they managed to score 3 goals and didn't concede any goals and in the next game everton played against chelsea which, despite being a very unstable team, i thought that everton would lose in that game against Chelsea and once again Everton surprised me by beating Chelsea in a game in which they managed to score 2 goals and didn't concede any goals

In the next game Everton played against Burnley and they also won again, and once again managed to score 2 goals and didn't concede a goal. In other words, in the last 4 games, Everton won all 4 games and did not concede a single goal in the last 4 games, this shows how Everton's defense improved a lot after the defeat they had in the game against Manchester United in which Everton conceded 3 goals and they failed to score any goals, after that defeat in the game against manchester united, everton became much stronger in defense and attack, but everton are still not safe, in the next game it will be more complicated because they will play against tottenham
