Comkort is closing down. Time to withdraw the coins!
Too bad! Thanks for the heads-up though!

Bummer about Comkort. I tried a few time to stoke it, but it just would not catch. Hate to lose the potential of a USD market. It just makes our USD market on Bleutrade that much more important.

In this instance, guys, us Aussies can only sit and watch. Fiat-Uno portals are, IMHO, elementally important -- price-independence!
The Australian chapter shall continue plodding along, connecting Uno to dinosaur money directly, wherever and however we can.

Seems altcoin trading volume is down across the board. It must be hard for smaller exchanges like Comkort to meet operating expenses with the thin trading volumes.
Is Coins-e exchange under denial of service attack recently? I'm getting a warning message that says site may not be secure.
$UNO/altcoin pairings are worth checking out on Bleutrade and Cryptopia exchanges (kind of wish I hit the UNO/LTC and UNO/DOGE trade a little harder before recent rise in LTC and DOGE). Also Ripple (XRP)/UNO trade on Cryptsy got my attention after that epic dump.

@rojan I think it is a wise bet to seek developing ALT markets. LTC and DOGE first and foremost (so it looks like Bleu and Cryptopia exchanges). Ripple is up on Cryptsy. If I had to guess NXT will come online too! Likely on it's distributed in-wallet UNITY systems. After that Dash and XMR but only maybe. (and there is the Crypto Guild for more niche trade pairs). HINT... Crypto Guild is likely to establish a sound u$d pairing. More on that later

Awesome, you're doing well! Thanks for helping piece together a look at the mining network.
yeha, I've been running 200-400+Th/s since last week. uhXrK4374zXjAQxW8TA6FRaVjXG1edcXc1 is me as well. Address keeps changing probably cause it keeps crashing and restarting so much... some attention to this issue would be nice. Hi crackfoo, FWIW I have made my binaries available for debian (amd64, 64bit): https://cryptap.us/uno/uno-wheezy.amd64.tar.gzhttps://cryptap.us/uno/uno-jessie.amd64.tar.gz!!!NOTE!!! These binaries are compiled with "--with-incompatible-bdb" so I'm using the version of Berkeley DB in Debian. If you care about being backwards compatible with version bdb v4.8 please backup your current wallet.dat and remove it from .unobtanium so that a new one can be created. Basically, use a new wallet.dat and move coins there to test with. I use the wheezy version for all my services and have not observed any issues. But I don't mine so if you are still running into issues it could be something in the mining rpc, block submission code or a miss-configured system. I do have a current issue with Insight explorer not understanding confirmed transactions but I am more suspicious of the general bitcoin v10 code and how Insight is working with it (lots of flux at Bitpay on how Insight will move forward). edit: changed links, clarified 64bit I'll give them a try, I use the --with-incompatible-bdb as well. Wil let you know if there is any change. hasn't crashed yet... so far so good. But wallet address changed yet again.... uKfQf7M6WX47Pt5PYatGzKcAAfgVjfoRuh

@Crackfoo
I mine with xpool.ca currently for x11. I see that you/they pay out a bunch of different coins, but not UNO. If I read your posts correctly, you currently are mining it. Are you planning on adding payouts in UNO?
Thanks.
EDIT: oops, i think i found it. maybe.
EDIT 2: I see you have to select it under the SHA256 mining section. duh, merged mining, etc., etc. nevermind me. I'll go get more coffee now....

yeah, if you're mining with SHA256, and you set your UNO address in your settings, you'll get the UNO you mine sent to you every 6 hours.

Hi,
what makes this coin special?
Thanks!
No empty promises is the biggest thing that makes this coin stand out. Limited supply of coins, only 250k Uno will exist, the last 50k being mined out over 300 years or so. It was a fair launch when it made it's debut, no ninja launches starting on block 10k for Uno. The first blocks were a really low reward as well to give people even more of an opportunity to mine the coin fairly. The latest thing is the merged mining which allows the power of the btc network, well some of it anyway, to support the Uno chain. There are plenty of coins out there that say they are doing X, Y, and Z. Or at least plan to and yet they go no where. Uno is a stable platform on which to build upon. The coin has not lost value if you held it, that right there is what makes Uno the most special. It's simplicity is what makes it shine the brightest for me. The community is awesome and that is another major draw. Lots of people devoting a lot of their time to different projects that all utilize Uno and in turn add REAL value to Uno instead of it just being a digital token for fiat, lookin at you bitcoin. The more i looked into btc the cooler crypto seemed, but then again you have the bitcoin foundation which is acting like some type of central authority for bitcoin, no better than the banks, just a matter of time before btc devolves into another tool for the actuaries to use to manufacture wealth for all their buddies. That left me longing for something more. That, and when i entered cryptoville btcs valuation was around 1200 bucks. Major losses if i had invested in btc then. What made more sense was to invest in hardware to mine btc and other coins to diversify my risk in case btc did what it did. Granted none of it really panned out all too well, except for my time spent with Uno. If you consider any of this an 'investment' you are going to be sorely disappointed in the short term. If you can hold out ten years who knows lol. What makes an investment an investment and not a gamble? If it pays off it was an investment, if you lose on it, it was a gamble? Half empty, half full, who knows. What i do know is that i have been 'all in' on Uno for the last 3 or so months after xmr finally spiked again and i managed to exit. If you want a coin with a lot of promises check this out: https://www.ethereum.org/ether They did a massive presale and raised a TON of money almost a year ago now. Look at how well THAT project is doing. Overly ambitious perhaps. Or just a flat out lie. Either way, it happened. "The sale lasted 42 days, starting on July 22nd and ending at 23:59 Zug time September 2, and collected a total of 31531 BTC, worth $18,439,086 at the time of the sale, in exchange for about 60102216 ETH. " 18 million bucks for a website and some good ideas. But yeah, if you read about it, it all seems VERY promising, still, it is just empty promises until it arrives and you can use it. That being said, it isn't really about what it is that makes Uno so special, rather what it isn't, that makes it stand out. The uses for Uno are limited only to the depths of the human mind.

What I wanna say is: Startcoin = Crowfunding Teslacoin = Crowfunding (Free Energy Projects only) Cannabiscoin = Cannabis market Auroracoin = Islandian people Pesetacoin = Spanish people Myriadcoin = SMS wallet for poor countries Unobtanium = ?? What is the Unobtanium market? (Some of them could be just promises, but that is not the point here)

Not trying to be rude, but I don't think you've looked very hard if you don't yet see what makes Uno different from low hash, high inflation coins with weak communities and values that depend on the delivery of future promises. A lot of people in this thread found Uno after doing their own research; the facts lead them here . Take another look at Uno and then lets have a good conversion. Otherwise it just looks like trolling, and that gets boring really fast.

"What is the Unobtanium market?"
Smart people.
Lol, nice. If Uno had any market to tie itself to, my knee jerk response would be Uno/Precious metals. Mostly silver and gold but i suppose it would all be up for grabs if available. I have purchased silver from individuals here on the forums using Uno. I purchased gold through coaex.com using Uno. There is a whole Un-ex exchange that now has a spreadsheet tracker. https://cryptoguild.qnetau.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10 is a starting point for the Un-ex. I have also sold Uno for btc to buy metals, but that isn't unique to Uno at all. I always like to joke about the promises because Uno was made just to make Uno. It was the devs Sha coin. There was no objective to creating it other than creating it and seeing where it would go. When asked what he would do to give the coin value, the dev replied, it is up to you and what you choose to do with it, for i am just the creator or something along those lines. It is paraphrased but i do remember Blazr saying something to that extent and me thinking "what an asshole" but that was when i was new to crypto. Before i got burnt out on all the shenanigans and scams. When i was young and naive. lol I know now what he meant. It is cool that people have a lot of ambitious plans for these cryptographic currencies that exist. I think most of them will never happen, or there is just no market for them. There is no demand for what is being offered, and often times it appears to be just a cash grab by greedy individuals.

Morning, Rw13enlib88.
What I noticed, when I did my original (extensive) research of this crypto, was the number of Uno folk who were clearly knowledgeable about other coins – so many I'd seen on other threads! – but had chosen to ‘base themselves out of’ Uno.
And what SirSmokes said? 'Uno/bullion'? Yes. Absolutely. Astute analysis.

I agree Uno is better than other coins with low hash, high inflation coins with weak communities and values that depend on the delivery of future promises. But the question is what's gonna happen from here to 1 year? (After the next bitcoin bubble) What reasons gonna have the new people to buy/use this coin?

None. I would say it depends on what YOU are doing with Uno. Welcome to the club. Now what are your contributions? If you got nothing, why would you expect anyone else to be doing anything? If you got some ideas on how to add value to Uno you could always discuss them here! Best chance at striking it rich by investing in Uno, someone here hitting a multimillion lotto jackpot and then putting a lot of that into Uno. Ya know it is sorta nice to have a crypto you can store your money in and cash out into btc with no issues. You then have all the utility of btc, without any of the volatility. If people need any more of a reason, what more reason do they need?
