Could you provide any information or updates on those @IMZ ? I personally had Two Backups fail and I fubared another. Redundancy redundancy redundancy. I couldn't agree more. Having the presence of mind to make a few GPG encrypted copies of those backups (this applies to paper wallets too) does a lot to reduce the number of horror stories. Hardly a week goes by you don't see someone who lost coins and had not a single backup of their wallet, or did not write down their seed. |

Re: China. The point in translating our documents is so that the Chinese have some place to land when we publicize our existence through well-placed articles in the Chinese crypto press, and their version of Twitter, Weibo. That is step two, and I am working on it. Telling the crypto population in a money hungry country of several billion creates demand, I think. I am a dumb, abrasive douchbag. So maybe not.
Maybe we should sell them DVC and silver bars.
Re NXT: that link I provided is where mutual funds of crypto portfolios are being created. UNO needs to be buyable. A UNO "ETF" makes no sense. Being easily acquirable for a NXT platform traded ETF increased demand. They buy 10% and 20% chunks of various cryptos.
Re CNY: billions of Chinese. Which part is unclear?
Re ideas: if you have an idea that increases demand, be ready to execute it, project manage it, push it to completion. Statements like "We should do this or that" and OP disappears for months is flaccid numbnuttery.
If you are not going to do it, or find the people who can do it (FK: I don't know how to get cryptsy to float a NXT/UNO trading pair: can you tell me how or do it yourself?) STFU.
We don't need ideas that don't create demand and we don't need ideas that nobody is going to execute.
So STFU with ideas that you take no responsibility for. I will be responsible for NXT trading pairs and am open to assistance. I will see this too through and get it done. And then I will sell UNO to those funds.

Everyone be sure to update to the .10 wallet. I had some transactions that didn't come through, I downloaded the entire blockchain again and the coins still weren't there, but I didn't realize I wasn't on the new wallet. When I came here and saw the update, I got the new wallet and my transactions showed up.
On the downside, I no longer have any kilograms of Unobtanium. Just UNO. Which is fine unless you speak Spanish and someone asks you for "uno uno".
My version of wallets fixed this issue. |

(or better do the homework but UNO has a wide base give $500k cap) But UNO is acknowledging this maybe the fact, and why not plan on some future air drops / discount purchasing. This means budget some UNO that you plan give out to expand the core user base. Examples: regional airdrop, money-market pundit airdrop, business enterprise airdrop, etc. This is something to think on, we can make it fun, there is no rush, but gather your gift bags now. #UNDROPs  |

I always wondered why (for utility sake) a NXT asset was necessary, I mean a colored coin would do the exact same thing couldn't it? Could verify assets directly on the BTC blockchain, or even UNO rockchain with a few tweaks. |

At one time I looked into creating a NXT asset that would have been backed by my 400 frozen Mintpal Uno. Glad I didn't actually do that, since by a miracle I got my Uno back from Ferdous Bhai. Such assets can be created in about 1 minute in NXT (and Counterparty and Bitshares, etc) and traded in the markets that reside within those ecosystems. In the case of NXT, there is a whole other corner of crypto that trades and tracks those assets, people who probably know nothing about Uno. While a direct Uno/Nxt trade pair seems unlikely on Cryptsy, it could eventually land on Cryptopia. But yes, I could show you how to setup a UNO asset on NXT which would effectively enable you to swap the value between the Uno Asset and NXT in the NXT market. People just need to believe that the UNO asset is safely backed by Uno. |

Gekko: I am here to ride coattails of people who are willing to work hard and raise the value of the coin. Offer snark and demonstrate to lurkers that not everyone believes in all the bullshit. I don't really feel like handing out my banking info to everyone under the sun, usd markets never enticed me. If you happen to have the coin then all is fine and well, but trading pairs don't create demand, they just create exits for people. If the nxt pairing locked up X amount of Uno for a period of time then that could make all the other Uno more valuable in a sense. That is one pairing that could actually have a decent effect. Just because there are 17 billion Chinese doesn't mean a thing. Out of those 17 billion, how many have internet access, how many have interest in crypto, how many who are interested enough in crypto wouldn't have already seen Uno in their research? I don't know, really have no fuckin clue. I don't think it is as many as some would like to believe. Yeah, it is certainly a nice thing to have, translations for people, it isn't going to create demand. What would create demand is the Chinese market falling in love with Uno and competing with each other to obtain it. But why should they fall in love with the coin? I would like to think it is all the compelling arguments that have taken place here. When you read what people have to say and consider it, rather convincing. Sadly though, no one is about to translate 400 pages. So as i see it, the Chinese hit their version of the site and get turned off just as much as everyone else who first reads about the coin, because the reality of the situation is that while stable and secure, it is difficult to obtain, while 200 people own 80% of it. So the Asian invasion air drop might not be a bad idea. Yet again, i offer nothing but some funding for this project. People love free shit though, right? As long as people are doing something it is good. All i do is open my wallet, and my mouth. What ever. I can do both, or neither, or one or the other, and the end results will be the same for me regardless. Might as well try to have a little fun with it. Of course i don't agree with the "if you aren't going to do it don't share it" mentality. It is one thing to tell others what to do. It is another to speak of things that seem like good ideas. They might inspire or encourage someone else. |

Actually there aren't 17 billion people on the entire planet. But, out of every single person on the planet, only 39 of them ran an Unobtanium wallet today. So instead of asking how many Chinese people are interested in crypto, ask how many human beings on planet earth are interested in crypto. It's not many. Even Bitcoin is so small that most people in the United States have never heard of it. But, out of the people who are interested in crypto, a significant percentage of them are in China. So, if almost nobody in China adopts Unobtanium - if it was 1 out of every 1,000,000 Chinese people - if it was rarer than the rarest type of cancer - if it was rarer than being a billionaire - if 2 Chinese people committed suicide by jumping off the roof of Foxconn for every 1 Chinese person who adopted Unobtanium - that would still be enough Chinese people to double the total users of Unobtanium. So it's worth doing. |

Hey, Edgar. I suppose it's open a half an hour three or four times a week when Uno is coming in from exchanges. (Uno wallet much faster than my Bitcoin wallet.)
And since it came up the other day, I have been running it four or five hours a day -- while I'm on the Net.
