Do people just keep their coins on Cryptsy because they don't feel like syncing a wallet, making a password, and backing it up? It's so easy  Embarrassed I know it's not the withdrawal fee, that costs $0.0005.

I feel like Cryptsy is quite secure, hopefully all Unobtanium holders are smart enough to at least use a different password from other accounts & 2-factor authentication. The problem is if the cold wallets of Cryptsy are compromised, or if the government shuts down cryptsy or it isn't liquid; 20% of all UNO would be at risk.

When Bittrex updated a couple months ago they added a cool distribution figure. 1 account on Bittrex has 1,400 UNO  Huh If you're one of the people with hundreds of UNO on Bittrex: Why haven't you downloaded, encrypted and backed up a personal wallet?

It's hard to tell how much of the UNO holdings on Bittrex are in sell orders, they don't offer an UNO y-axis on their order book, but there's 25 bitcoin to a price of 0.1. Cryptsy has 500 UNO on ask only up to 0.012. It's quite frustrating that they don't allow you to see deeper into the books.

Sigh, I don't know guys, it all just seems strange to me.

Nobody can answer that. And no crypto is immune to that unfortunately......

Roughly 15% of my holdings are on Cryptsy, and I ain't moving them.  Tiny sell orders up to .04.

Bryce has notified me that he has now merged all pull requests into the /Unobtanium-official/ Git.

Should we believe anything Bryce says at this point?  That guy seems to be delusional and poisonous, and never finishes anything as promised.  Look at NAUT PoS and his horrible behavior with XSEED for two of many examples.

Or listen to this four-hour podcast interview he just did, the guy is simply not mentally well:  https://www.mixcloud.com/dogedradio/e029-bryce-weiner-the-insider/

I really hope he's not the main guy involved with UNO at this point?

Bryce is certainly infamous to some degree. I guess it is for the best that he doesn't like btctalk and doesn't make appearances on the thread. We now have a few "main guys", or that is how i see it. I appreciate any help people are willing to offer, that sorta thing. If i was buying a dev, would Mr. Bryce be my first choice? Most likely not due mostly in part to his rep. Do i appreciate all the free work he has done? You betcha! Gotta give him credit for working at it even if ya don't think highly of him.

BW has been a riddle to me for a while now. He used to be the #1 crypto cheerleader and revolutionary. Now it has become obvious that A) he has personal issues that over the past year(s) lead to animosities with many people who used to consider him a colleague or friend and B) he has turned sour on the cryptosphere.

His participation in Uno mirrors this ambivalence. First enthusiasm, participation, usefull exchange of opinions and information and active work. Then silence, misinformation, unfulfilled promises and barely any activity for weeks or months. Now we have a few accepted pull requests, OK great. Did he even bother looking at them? Just wondering.

Personally I've used Blazr/HagbardCeline's git to compile my last unobtaniumd daemons ...

I know how BW feels, I was there a year ago. Let him have some time off if he wants, I'll stick around in the interim. As for Dave, who knows what he's doing--EXC needs attention though, either way.  Smiley

yeah, lets not be too hard on bryce.  he did some great work for us when we needed it most, and never asked for anything in return.  He has always been supportive of Unobtanium even if he didn't have all the time in the world to dedicate to our one project.

I sometimes get hella burnt out on crypto and i'm just a casual observer/investor.  something about spending lots of time studying money just eventually makes me sick to my stomach and want for a vacation from the whole cryptosphere.

I haven't kept up on all the altcoin drama but I think bryce is a really cool guy with lots of interesting things to say.  I wish him the best.

Uno is a community, not just a dev.  It is bigger than Bryce. Bigger than Falling Knife.  And *almost* as big as HagbardCeline. ;-) I'm grateful to all of Uno's devs and community members who have stepped up to make good things happen for Uno.

This community has been tested, and we are still here.

I don't care if you like BW or not. He doesn't care either.  He doesn't even care if I like him. But please, no more trolling here with shit here about xseeds or razor or whatever. That's not to say that some things didn't happen in those projects, but this isn't the place for it.  Take it to the xeeds or razor thread, or start a new one please and I'll join you there. It's just too well known and too boring at this point to rehash it all in this Uno discussion again.

I can tell, we're all craving some new interesting things to talk about here.  We may need another field trip soon or something to look forward to.
This is a long road trip. There will not be a bathroom stop for several hours, so pace yourselves.

"I can tell we're all craving some new interesting things to talk about here."

Yup! Merchant-network development discussion, go! (IndiaMikeZulu gonna sell seeds for Uno next week, surely a first?)

Anyone know any Greek speakers?

Anyone got a project in mind to mentor some group with the android wallet? (It's ready to go, isn't it?) We should be all over the android-wallet thang.

Remember last year we figured out together that gold goes irrationally down in price because it's 'mentally linked' to other commodities?

Well, I know there are a bunch of PM-savvy Uno folk here. Let's have your thoughts on what's goin' on. (I have no concerns: will buy all the Ag I can!)

"Just this week, crude oil prices retreated to $50 a barrel, while gold tumbled below $1,100 an ounce to five-year lows.
And mining stocks like Newmont Mining (NEM), Barrick Gold (ABX) and Coeur Mining (CDE) are down 20% to 25% this month alone.
What's going on?

"It's a yellow flag for the global economy. I don't think it's a heads up that we're headed for disaster, but I do think it tells us something . . . "
