Shook out or paid off... I'm not sure. Smiley
All I know is that there are about 1k UNO leaving Cryptsy, headed for Mintpal to try and stoke that market. We need more coins to play with over there.

I love Cryptsy, but UNO needs a strong second market at MintPal.  Besides, the exchange fee is less at MintPal (.15 vs .20 at Cryptsy).

Yes, that would really suck, and of course there's no guarantees. So far MintPal, being UK based, seems like a semi-safe bet.

This night deserves a headline:
"Angry UNO traders fed up with manipulative bot, push price up by 40%"

Price is already settling down again, without increased publicity for the coin no rise will be sustainable I'm afraid.

At least I feel better. Smiley  And look at the very thin sell book this morning. There's virtually no resistance now until .007.

That looks really cool, ethought. Thanks for supporting UNO as one of just six coins on  Multi Wallet.

Just found this, might carry some relevance regarding the silver "backing" idea?

http://www.theverge.com/2014/5/6/5685660/do-not-buy-this-gold-backed-bitcoin-minacoin

very interesting. Thank you for this. Minacoin - hasn't even an ann here. They store gold somewhere - how is the coin backed when i can not exchange it for metal and have that shipped at any time? I wouldn't call that 'backed'. More of a smokescreen.
Terminology is probably very important. Also this applies to US. Finding a country with better (easier) laws should be possible. Also issuer and backer don't need to be the same entity. Crypto is decentralized after all - what do they want to do if the backing would also be private and decentralized?
How are the US-laws for trading of gold?
What regulations has a glodsmith to apply to for example?
Providing an orderbook where people can trade gold vs crypto with each other - what regulations do apply there? The one maintaining the orderbook doesn't need to touch the metal himself nor does he need to buy or sell it. Also those orderbooks could be set up maintenance-free but some coding would be needed for that so nobody was really in charge. Let's look at all the possibilities. I am sure there is lots of uncharted territory. I think decentralization is key.
What needs to be avoided is being a moneytransmitter. Alternative would be someone gets that license and opens exchange. Can cryptsy trade physical metal?
Lots of questions.

I wouldn't feel comfortable using gold to store value anymore: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn23129-bug-protects-itself-by-turning-its-environment-to-gold.html#.U2k851cVEaY

The most interesting price range for Unobtanium will be 1.0 +/- .20  (0.80 - 1.20) UNO/BTC.

    • People who want to try UNO have been complaining for months that they install the UNO client and they cannot connect to peers. Nobody is listening to them.

I agree, everyone will lose interest if nobody can get the client to easily connect. It's crucial to get that fixed.

This is what happened to me, I only had about 40 of them on exchanges, but could not get the wallet to work, so I deleted the wallet, sold off my UNO and moved on. Too little time with many other coins to choose from. I liked UNO and still have a soft spot for it, good luck to you guys, what happened to the Dev?

This happened a few months ago, I dont know if your wallet is now working or not.[/list]

i think to beat that fucking bot, we'll need a 3-pronged approach consisting of: time, money, and wider adoption.
I'm wondering who wants to keep the price down so low, and why...  any speculations?
