I watched the video below today. It compares Peercoin to Bitcoin. Are we planning to add Proof-of-Stake to UNO at some point?

The Chainz explorer and rich list is nice. See what they've done for AUR:  http://chainz.cryptoid.info/aur/#!rich
UNO doesn't really need another explorer, but this is a nice service. In addition to an explorer & rich list, they also provide a hashrate distribution/extraction chart.
They seem like they would be a reliable. The cost is .2 btc per year.

Check out Chainz and let me know what you think.

I'm already .1 btc into the old rich list with nothing to show after 1 month. Who would go in on Chainz with me?

Can you post BTC and UNO addresses for community to chip in for this Chainz deal?

Good idea. I'd certainly chip in, no need for FK to pay for all of this out of his own pocket!

I don't know, I don't really see UNO as a PoS coin. Although it does somewhat fit with the "investment" angle a bit, an annual interest (even if low) clashes with the key selling point that UNO is limited to 250k tons (or 250,000 coins).

I would actually only consider it as an emergency option. If UNO value remains stagnant then after the next one or two halvings we might run into the situation where not even UNO diehards can justify mining it anymore. Then the network could become too weak to remain secure. In that case a transition to PoS might be an option.

Any other opinions?

hey @FK, are you aware that the rich list is down?

Yeah, it's irritating. The rich list was a popular service. I paid .1 BTC a month ago to bring it up. Agran wants another .1 btc to rebuild it.

"02.06.2014 17:50, FK:
> What's going on with it?

Agran: I think that everything will be all right. I crashed the server, it rarely happens.

Learnminer suggested I talk with Fairglu who runs Chainz. Here's that exchange:

>The rich list for #Unobtanium went down 2 weeks ago. What kind of incentive would you need to be able to host a UNO block explorer and rich list?

Fairglu:
Hi, I charge essentially for the hosting costs so I don't run it at a loss, or 0.2 BTC per year per blockchain.

Considering the quality of the service and the fact that it would actually cost less, I'd say go for it. If you post us a donation address you won't have to pay for it on your own either, promised! Smiley

I appreciate that some of you want to contribute to bringing back the Rich list.
The dev asked for .2 btc, an annual expense for hosting, which is currently about 50 UNO.

Send UNO to: uWA5eSfCrPaEY7tnd4vqxHrJEV59sorSdz
Send BTC to:  14wVbzRh7v1qCvH7xmtx66jnfjzK6hmkbm

I'll let him know that we'll move forward with it.

Ditto.  Love merged mining idea; that may become more important as the block reward continues to dwindle.

Btw, thanks for the donations for the new rich list/explorer, guys. Received!

Thanks for the info Learminer!

I don't think that UNO needs POS, I was just curious if there were any plans to add it. The more I watch UNO, the more impressed I am at with how resilient it is, and how well designed it was. I look forward to Bryce's improvements and I have complete confidence in UNO and in the UNO community. I'm proud to say that I have never sold a single UNO. I just buy more on the dips. It gets very tempting to sell some as I see Bitcoin rising, but I just try to force myself to stay focused on the big picture: accumulating as much UNO as possible.

Thanks for the support for the new block explorer & rich list project.
Already we've raised .07 btc, and 12.6 uno, or about .12 of the .2 btc needed. Just .08 btc (or 20 uno) more needed.

The project is going to happen, guaranteed. I've was talking to the Dev today. He's running into the same Linux wallet problems that we've known about. As soon as Bryce has a fix for that, we'll have this service up. Hopefully won't take too much longer, as Bittrex is also waiting for that fix.

PS - donations are totally refundable until spent on this project. If it doesn't happen I'll send it back.

Chances are not very good. Network hash is way too high to solo UNO with an ant. I'd suggest mining a more profitable coin and then exchanging for UNO.

What happened to the big 500+ order (+) around 0.0053?  It's tough to find large volume at these low prices.  Funny, it disappeared after Bryce Weiner twitted a snippet about it being the UNO stolen from CoinEX.

Let's just hope it was a panicked novice trader who thought they could get that volume back below 0.004, and the CoinEX thief has been, ahem, taken out, such that the UNO are permanently iced and UNO will be even more rare. (I always think the Feds/Bankers/J & J Cabal contract those crypto hacks, especially so they can dump at price lows to demoralize enthusiasts and do great unnatural harm to price valuations.  We see the worst corporate news announcements and the FBI/Silk Road sales at lows in the case of BTC, so don't tell my lying eyes the pattern isn't there.)

UNO might be significant, should it ever get sufficient 'attention' from the archontic types.  There just isn't all that much of it, right...Bryce Weiner, developer?
