Maybe the order moved to MintPal. There's 582 uno sell order at .0043.
Whatever the source, it's uno that needs a good wallet.

I think its time to start buying again. This stalemate and low volume is getting boring.

Hey guys, I just noticed that the paper wallet generator @ http://cryptap.us/uno/paperwallet.html doesn't allow the creator to download the script for offline use. Anybody know how we can change this?

Hi Mean-Bob.
Why don't you send a PM through Bitcointalk to Cryptapus.
Let us know what you hear.

I'm told a Linux wallet update is in the works. That will make it easier to add services for UNO.
Mac lovers, we have not forgotten about you. Good things are happening/will happen for UNO.

Sorry to post so much today, but I did take a weekend off Smiley
A few people have PM'ed me to ask why I think the price of UNO is low.  First, thanks for giving a shit what I think. That puts you +1 over my wife and kids.

UNO is a great coin... All I can say when it's at 004, even after all of the recent good news is... do you have enough?  At it's worst just a few months, even after UNO had been quietly abandoned by its devs, .0039 was about the bottom.   So what's going on? Why is it hovering around .004 now?

This is why I am still picking up UNO at sale prices....

My belief is that Bitcoin's fast rise has sucked a lot of air out of the altcoin market; I'm convinced that's what's driving this. This is a cycle that will come back around. As I posted on another thread; if the Euro rises dramatically against the Dollar and you hold Euros.... it might be a good time to swap into dollars (doomsday scenarioists and dollar haters, you get my point, right Smiley ). Likewise, right now if you're holding BTC, you can buy more UNO per BTC.  Eventually the gap between uno and btc will tighten up.  This is underscored in the price of uno vs usd -- uno has held up against the dollar very well, even as the dollar has lost ground to btc.

I think with all of the recent good news that UNO has had, you know that its recent rise was not a simple pump and dump. Sure, there were some momentum chasers in the mix (as there always is) but primarily UNO rose on its merits, the value of an interested community, active devs, and interest from exchanges.  Yet, if someone had credibly told me that BTC was going to rise 70%, I probably would have held off a bit and bought more uno later, but that's how it goes here in cryptoland. No guarantees.

Maybe you have heard some of the speculation that UNO stolen from Coinex are being dumped on the market right now (estimates I heard are about 500 uno, or only about 3 btc). It may be true or not.  If the stolen coins are finding their way back to market, I'm glad actually: there are too few UNO to lose that many forever. Long term it would hurt us to lose so many coins. But if it's true, and stolen coins are really being dumped right now, then this is a phenomenally rare opportunity to buy UNO at unnaturally low prices. Again, I don't know if it is or not, but it's interesting to speculate. I just hope I'm not buying coins that were stolen from you.

So far, BTC has never been able to keep rising forever; if history is our guide, it will come back down again. When it does, expect UNO to rise against the price of BTC. If stolen coins are being dumped, then that will end eventually; would you rather buy cheap uno now, or sell your uno cheap?   When these events play out, I just hope you'll be comfortable in your UNO position.

For these reasons and others, I am very bullish and long on UNO.

Nice buy - whoever got 500+ UNO @ 0043 on Mintpal.  I won't have BTC until Friday, maybe more chunky UNO bargains then.  I reiterate - 500+ UNO @ 0043!

Hey guys!

I wanted to present an idea to the community, and to hear your thoughts.

I use a fantastic program called FreeFileSync. At work, I have an IronKey USB thumb drive that I sync to a folder on my work computer. The work computer runs Windows 7. I then sync the thumb drive to my laptop, which runs Fedora 20 (No Dropbox-style Internet syncs are allowed at my job). For the longest time, I could not fine a solution that could do the sync reliably, EVERY time, without any errors. I recently found FreeFileSync, and it does the sync perfectly every time. The FreeFileSync version for OpenSuse works perfectly on Fedora.

I was thinking about emailing the developer of FFS, and offering to send him 50 UNO for his outstanding work. I considered offering him an even higher donation if he would put an UNO logo and donation address on his homepage. That way, more people would learn about UNO.

Then I got to thinking, the open source development community would probably get really fired up about UNO if more people offered to donate UNO to their projects. This could lead to a viral campaign which could result in UNO becoming the de facto standard for donating to open source projects. Devcoin is trying to do this too, but I think that UNO would be very attractive to developers since it is rare. That could help us gain traction. In the end, UNO could become the default coin of the open source development community.

What do you guys think about getting together as a community to make a MUCH larger offer to a really popular open source project? In exchange for the donation, they would put an UNO logo on their homepage, which would link to the new UNO website, and their UNO donation address. In effect, we would be paying them to bring a lot more notoriety to UNO.

If we decided to do this, I pledge a minimum amount of 50 UNO to the effort.  If you like this idea, please respond to this thread with an amount that you would pledge, and what open source projects you would like to donate to. Off the top of my head, here are the ones that I would love to donate to: Libreoffice, FreeFileSync, Notepad++, Firefox, GIMP, Gedit, and Freemind.

Thank you for your time! Smiley

I like that idea!

In practice the main problem I see is that only very few people worldwide (like maybe a few hundred?) really own any UNO, so it would boil down to a couple of core individuals (us) that send tips in the hope it promotes visibility of UNO. Right now the hurdles for entry into UNO are still pretty high.

I know a couple of tech savy people that mainly stayed out of cryptocurrencies so far, because they couldn't get their hands on BTC in an easy enough manner. Even for BTC that barrier of entry is still pretty high in some places. To get UNO to a "newbie", they would have to first get BTC, then register on an exchange and trade it for UNO there. Lots of hurdles.

IMO we'd need an easier way for people to get into UNO first, before we attempt such a "marketing" strategy (that reaches beyond the established crypto-sphere).

Any other opinions?

Philogus

Firefox for sure.  I could pledge, hmm...20Un split up for up to about 4 projects.

-

Timing is important.  I wish all UNO investors would become sophisticated in integrating the cryto cycles into their thinking and trades.  I want to see long-term lows rising over time - and I see that single characteristic as being the feature of UNO that will win over the attention of big investment and make Unobtanium great in the long-run.  The first alt to consistently post higher lows month after month will win by 2016!!!

If you start a project like this today or tomorrow, with the wallet problems still being worked out and BTC hitting a new high, etc., *and UNO buyers temporarily out of bullets*, you are guaranteeing a new multi-month UNO low, as those developers will immediately dump those UNO for BTC for fiat TO PAY FOR THEIR DEVELOPMENT, etc.  Why doesn't everyone see this??

"Traders":  Sell into strength AFTER you've made a profit with UNO regaining new multi-month highs, not panick-selling into new lows.  If someone has a buy for 20Un, then you can sell 10.  That doesn't change the bid price, you see?

The game with UNO is scarcity.  We are so close to witnessing this - not even BTC has hit 'scarcity' trading, yet.  It takes 1.) long-term HOLDers, and 2.) Buy support.  Everyone, please stop thinking short-term and immediate.  It doesn't matter the price is at 0.004(-) right now, (unless you are a savvy buyer.)  I can count at least 4 or 5 whales who like to sit on their Un, won't sell it low, but have spent their UNO-buying allotment for the time being this last week.  That's why you can't buy much UNO volume at the current price, but there still isn't buy support.

Dear Unobtanium community:  Just stop selling below a point.  Where is your profit point?  At least JUST STOP SELLING BELOW 0.01.  Let's start with that.

(...continued post...)

For the novice "trader" or other Unobtanium investors unaware of this principle:  Unobtanium is a long-term investment.  Long-term traditionally means over 1 year to maturity of the investment, although in the cryptoworld, I suppose it could mean more like, say, as little as 4-6 months.

Baby steps:  if 'long-term' means just 4 months, that means that NOBODY SHOULD BE BUYING UNO WITH FUNDS YOU WILL NEED FOR LIVING EXPENSES/ OPERATING EXPENSES IN THE NEXT 4 MONTHS!  Ideally, you have a profit in your income above your expenses, and you can purchase UNO with that.  The whales know it.  This is good personal money management.  The conniving traders who beat prices around know this too, and scoop up your 'panick selling' UNO when you fail to honor this in your own spending practices.

Dear conniving traders and other savvy traders:  there are HUNDREDS of coins out there.  1.)  Those in the know, know that BTC is a long-term winner to $100,000(+).  There is also: 2.) UNO will be much higher than the current 0.004 BTC, so it will gain over that gaining BTC long-term.  WHY NOT USE UNO as your 'gold' fund.  Your precious artwork fund.  This is the currency to use to store your wealth.  Why keep beating the price down?  Why accept less than 0.01BTC per UNO???  Why?  There are HUNDREDS of coins out there - use the other ones for manipulation and short-term gains.  Use Unobtanium to protect your wealth in a mature, buy-and-hold strategy.

Dear moderators and community-builders:  We need to educate Unobtanium investors to the things mentioned here to mature our Unobtanium market and community.  Keep repeating beneficial principles if you have to.

-

Back to the developer-funding idea:  At such a nacient stage, we shouldn't shrug off opportunities.  We should definitely go after many ways to encourage advertising and buying, but also be aware of the results of the actual funding.  Maybe wait until the wallets are awesome, and buying returns in volume, or step into this one per week, etc., for a more-steady rise in demand.  It would be ideal to start this when the Unobtanium price is spiking again.  That's maturity.

CoinNext has added a UNO market.

https://coinnext.com/trade/UNO/BTC

I've not personally traded on CoinNext yet, but they have a clean interface and a nice selection of Altcoins.
If you trade on CoinNext, help rally their UNO market.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone a quick word of encouragement. A few years ago, when Bitcoin was much lower, I owned 126 of them. I bought Bitcoin because I believed in it, but I let circumstances talk me out of my convictions. I ended up investing many of my Bitcoins in a dubious venture, and I lost most of them.

I WILL NOT make the same mistake again. My initial instincts about Bitcoin were right, and my initial instincts about UNO are right. In other words, I'm not selling any of my UNO no matter how high Bitcoin goes, or how low UNO goes. I have learned one thing in life, success NEVER comes easy. You have to go through a lot of pain, and you have to pay your dues. What is going to happen over the next few weeks is probably going to test the faith of some of us in UNO, especially considering today's Bitcoin news regarding Ebay's CEO.

I am lucky to have made the mistake of losing faith in something before, only to see it rise again, and validate my initial beliefs. I learned from my mistake. I learned to TRUST my instincts, and to believe in myself, even if everyone one else happens to be running in the  opposite direction. My experience from a few years made me stronger, and it gave me the intestinal fortitude to stick with what I believe in. I learned to trust my initial analysis, and to ignore my emotions. UNO is going to eventually rise because it is fundamentally solid. A lot of people believe in it, so someone will eventually figure out how to create a demand for it. Of that, I have absolutely no doubt.

I have grown a lot in the last few years, and I owe a lot of that to the UNO community. For that, I will be forever grateful. As the late Charleton Heston once said they will have to pull my UNO from my "cold, dead hands."

I'm all about building the UNO ecosystem, including retailers who accept UNO.

"Hey FallingKnife,

My company is accepting Unobtanium payments through coinpayments.net for our OpenVZ and KVM VPS. I was wondering if you would be willing to add us to your services section of your Unobtanium Info & Discussion post. If not, would you recommend a way for me to get in touch with the Un community?

A little about us:

We are a New York based hosting company providing servers based out of Frankfurt and Los Angeles. Product lines include KVM and OpenVZ Servers.

Our goal is to provide the best and most straight-forward Virtual Private Servers money can buy. We accept Uno, Bitcoin, and Paypal.

Thanks for your help,
Brie Host"

Geez, it's so quiet around here! I didn't mean to kill the mood. Cheer up everybody! It's the weekend, and UNO is up 17% Smiley
I enjoyed your post. Didn't kill my enthusiasm for uno at all.

I'm told the Linux wallet is progressing nicely, and may be available next week. No longer will that be a point of frustration for service providers and exchanges who want to offer UNO, but who struggle with the wallet.  That's all we need to get our new rich list & explorer online.

Good things ahead for UNO.
