Yes that old rivalry between Guardiola and Mourinho will be on full display again but on this occasion the momentum is definitely with Tottenham as they have turned a corner and are fighting to be the EPL table leaders at the end of the year 2020.

Even with a player or two injured at Manchester United they have the capacity to cover those players and after all they are playing West Bromwich Albion who are struggling in the premier league since they got promoted last season. I see an easy victory for Manchester United.

@JollyGood we have a very exciting fixture as it’s Pep vs Mourinho, and considering the hot form of Tottenham I’ll have to agree with your score line. However I feel that Manchester United could either draw the match at 1 - 1 or be beaten 2 - 0, and my reasons for saying this is because their first team player’s are injured, and hence I believe that an draw or a defeat is inevitable for them.

This season is going to be very competitive. Chelsea, Leicester City, Tottenham, LIverpool, Southampton and Aston Villa, every team is playing well. So it is very difficult to say which teams will be in the top 3 this season. The point table is changing every few days. Man City is still far behind the top 5. They have not yet achieved the expected results. They have a chance to be in the top 5 in the points table. Hopefully in a few days we will see Man City in the top 5.

To be honest, it is becoming clear to see that Lampard is building something special with the blues team. Lampard doesn't care if its beautiful, ugly or purple patches. He seems to be taking after Mourinho more as the months grow,

Aston Villa 1-2 Brighton and Hove Albion

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Manchester City


So a penalty at the end of the game to Villa would have probably made it 2-2 but it was not given and Villa manager Dean Smith was absolutely furious. Well done to Brighton, that win takes a lot of pressure off them for the time being because they will be involved in a relegation battle towards the end of the season and they move up to 16th position in the league table (two places above the relegation zone). Another disappointment for Villa though.

Well done to Tottenham, Mourinho got the better of his nemesis Guardiola. City have basically have lost their edge and no longer have the fear factor over their opponents. All times know if you attack and attack at the City defence you will get through and eventually score. Conceding that early goal hurt City a lot.

Sours now sit top of the premier league table with the following record: P9 W6 D2 L1 and with 20 points though they have played one game more than the other teams around them.

Sights of the EPL table is beginning to seem more like it with the big teams taking key positions in the league and tasting a first spot even with the fact that, most games haven't played out, it's still a motivation for those with need to archive through sports.

Jose Mourinho must have been really proud of his boys this weekend especially for the unsong hero Son has proven to be but then, in time, they would realise what these players do at there free time at most.

Three very big penalty kick decisions in the second half. The referee awarded West Brom one then overturned his own decision after looking at the pitch-side monitor when VAR asked him to make the decision himself. Then when Manchester United got a penalty Fernandes failed to score as it was a good save but the re-take decision was correct because the goalkeeper was way off his line.

Not the best game to look at but true to form West Brom are in big trouble this season as they are in the relegation zone with this record: P9 W0 D3 L6 and they have just 3 points.

Manchester United move up to 9th and are joint on points with Everton and Crystal Palace with this record: P8 W4 D1 L3 and have 13 points

The match you cannot wait to see was already played yesterday and Villa lost 1-2 to Brighton 

It was a bit of a strange game in that Villa really should have walked away with at least a point but Brighton managed to hang on and take all three points. The whole penalty or no penalty drama at the end of the game soured the whole experience and Dean Smith the Villa was really angry about it because first the referee gave it as a penalty then he overruled it.

Can't wait for today's match between Aston Villa and Brighton.

Tottenham deserve to be considered as a candidate for champions this season they are playing well. Mourinho is very smart, he makes Tottenham appear more effective. Just look at Mancester City winning possession but Tottenham Hotspur won. They play not with the ball but also not in the bus parking lot. It looks like Tottenham deliberately let Mancester City play with the ball, Tottenham didn't even get a corner. Two of Tottenham's winning goals were even created from counter attacks. Apart from that, I saw the Mancester City strikers who didn't look good that night, they had a very good midfielder, but their strikers looked blunt.

Well, Everton have been making progress even with recent losses and they are a work in progress under manager Ancelotti. Calvert-Lewin scored twice and his currently the top scorer in the EPL. They are in 6th position in the league table with 16 points (the same as Southampton in 5th) : P9 W5 D1 L3

Fulham need to improve fast or they will get relegated back to the Championship, they are just 1 point above the relegation zone on 4 points: P9 W1 D1 L7

Well done to West Ham and Liverpool for winning their games. Leeds and Arsenal played out a goalless draw but the misery goes on for Sheffield United, they look favourites for relegation. They have P9 W0 D1 L8 and have just 1 point and they sit at the foot of the table.

Arsenal are still having a problems to winning against a mid team, I can't imagine how they would be when Ozil was completely out of the squad. Even though Arteta's decision has the support of Ljunberg, this does not mean it should keeping the failed formation.
