There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Maybe with some sort of wizardry the GAW Scrypt Miners could be upgraded with hardware/software/firmware to be able to do Scrypt-N and X11 too..!

That would be a GAME CHANGER if that was possible!

I sure though that is just wishful thinking on my part.

 Grin

Its an ASIC, not a FPGA...  that Application Specific part will likely ruin your day.

Then how in world do these guys do it? ==>  https://www.flowertechnology.com/product/lilac/

That ASIC mines scrypt-n too?

Ever hear of "vapor-ware"?  I'll buy what I can see (or at least from someone I trust (GAWMiners).  They (GAW) are shipping what they say and people are getting them.  Good enough for me!

Also, I have yet to see an answer about whether you will get a second zencontroller on an additional order. My brother wants me to purchase a fury for him but I just want to make sure I will get another controller.
Yes, you will get another controller. Here it is, straight from GAWminers.com.

http://www.gawminers.com/the-fury-1-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-three/

Quote

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

1 x GAW Miners Fury
1 x USB DATA cable

1 x ZenController by ZenMiner
1 x SD CARD ready for ZenController with GAW Miners firmware.

1 x ZenController power cable for standard power supply unit (4 PIN Connection)

Did not resist the "kit" and bought one of these using my Reward Points to reduce the price...  Grin

Kinda past due... but they may still be sleeping.  It was a LONG day for them yesterday!   Smiley

Edit: and it'd be Prize #2... the first has already been given out.

I'm not sleeping just yet! Smiley

I'm gathering all the entries and putting them in a neat file which I'm then going to share with our team. To make sure everyone in our company gets to vote, I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning (or early afternoon) and that's when we'll announce the winner!

(I've already seen many entries and actually LOLed a few times  Grin)

Thank you all who participated!

UPDATE:
I haven't yet heard back from Jeff, maybe he stopped to take a quick nap or grab a sammich, but I think he is making progress squashing bugs for us hosted folks. Fingers crossed, nicehash appears to be working again as a secondary pool. I'm not sure why, but the War Machine does way better on nicehash than any other pool. All pools report 56-58Mh for me, but nicehash reports 62-72Mh pool side!

Questions:

1) What's the address for hosted units?
(my furys are not "on" yet but I never remember it and can't find it on website)

2) I have ordered 1 Week Three Fury with ZenController kit and also 2 Zeusminer Blizzards (technically the same miner). Is it possible to gather all 3 in one USB hub to ZenController?

2) We don't know yet for certain, but in theory, yes. ZenMiner is supposed to be "the one controller to rule them all."

Seriously,

What Range was your order Number? X - XXXX

My Fury was Order #6293

They're not shipping in numerical order, then.  My order for 5 furys is #5719 and apparently it's just left Hong Kong:

Btw, I wasn't aware until this morning that the furys include a raspberry pi.  The original product page that I ordered from only mentioned the USB cable and power supply.  So, am I correct now in understanding I'll be getting a raspberry pi directly from Michigan?  If so, a tracking # for that would have been helpful.

Oh, well...  at least my order is now on the way.

Regards,

Chris

I just spreaded the news at two forums and now the Fury has not the kit anymore... =/

As I placed my order while the product was announced with the kit, I hope you guys send my what was advertised at the website and not propose a refund.

 Wink

EDIT:
After contacting GAW I received a very fast reply from Thomas Nguyen saying that I'll receive the full kit.
Thank you GAW...  Cheesy
