The Ireland vs Portugal game tonight is an important game for Portugal in terms of taking the lead in the group. Because Serbia are one point ahead of them now but they have an additional game played too. If Portugal manage to beat their weak competitor, they will get two points ahead of Serbia by taking the lead. Ireland have won only one game in the group so far which was against Azerbaijan. They don't have any claim on even the second position so I don't expect them to resist Portugal much. Portugal beat them by 2-1 before and this time I expect a win by a bigger gap.

Portugal should avoid a draw trap otherwise I expect them to win today. Odds are way in favor of Portugal @1.3 comparing to @9.6 for Ireland!
Azerbaijan - Luxembourg odds are competitive @2.6 - 2.9 respectively and obviously anyone could win that random game tho..

Portugal has a difficult match in their hands today and Ireland can honestly make a surprise .Portugal needs a win badly here if they win they will only need a draw in the final match against Serbia to go to the World Cup.Luxemburg match is honestly difficult to predict and i will stay away from that match today

^^^ Yes, this should be an easy win for Portugal if everything goes correctly. Serbia and Portugal are the real to contenders of this group because the other teams, Ireland Luxembourg and Azerbaijan are far behind in terms of points so I don't think they will cause too many problems for this top 2 teams. Today should be a win for Portugal and Portugal's star players should be on the score sheet.

Except for Portugal and Serbia the rest of the teams on that group are already eliminated, so the whole point of the match that Portugal has against Ireland is to secure the first spot on the group and in that way give themselves a huge advantage over Serbia on their final game as just a draw will be enough for Portugal to advance directly to the world cup.

And what is best for Portugal is that they do not even need a win today either, as long as they can tie the game this will give them the same amount of points than Serbia, but since they have a better goal difference then this will put them on the first spot on their group.

Azerbaijan vs Luxembourg was a great and interesting match. I literally thought Azerbaijan will win in this match, and probably get their first 3 points. But, as usual they ended up losing. Their performance have been very poor, played 8 matches so far without winning any. Luxembourg took advantage of the red card that was given to Azerbaijan in the first half. Luxembourg is now in the 3rd place with 9 points.

While, Spain is leading against Greece with a goal difference. However, the match is quite tough, and Greece have to equalize the match, but it won't be easy as Spain is dominating and have a solid defence.

Just watching some of the games being played right now, if Sweden doesn't over turn the  current result against Georgia am done betting for the day, btw these guys were tipped to be favorites for crying out loud but the results they are bringing forward are the total opposite of what the bookies weighted them for   so disappointed with that am seeing.

Otherwise North Macedonia is winning as expected, so is Russia and Luxemburg and a couple of matches starting later on.

Unfortunatly sometimes good teams lose even if they play really well and especially when wasting many opportunities and thats exactly what we saw in that game in the first half 6 on goal shots for sweden and they couldnt score but weve seen different performance from georgia in the second half but i think the fact that they are in a confortable situation with 6 points away from greece had an impact on their performance.

In other games, I'm really surprised that Sweden's losing away to Georgia. If they don't win, that will be a big boost for Spain before their game tonight.

That's so far the upset of the day, I never saw that coming.

Spain are barely able to take full advantage of Sweden losing too, they're only up by a goal against Greece, but if they're secure the win (10 mins plus added time left), that would put Sweden in a really bad spot, as they will have to win the last game against Spain to regain top spot.

RIP, Liechtenstein. Germany simply destroyed them 9:0. They actually were close to reach double digit of scored goals. And 7th goal scored by Baku was beauty.
Croatia also won big. 7:1 against Malta is very solid. Russia left nothing from Cyprus - 6:0 I expected their easy win, but not so big.
Armenia 0:5 North Macedonia, I think nobody saw this coming because on paper it's similar level teams. And considering goaless draw between Romania and Iceland, it's big step for Macedonia in fight for 2nd place.

There were too many goals in today's matches, especially Germany, Croatia and Russia got brutal scores. Germany scored nine goals against Liechtenstein, they were one man down in only ninth minute so this is not surprising. Germany total tried 42 shots which is pretty impressive but at the same time worrying, you would expect much better shot/goal ratio. It was like a training game for them. Croatia and Russia found goals with better ratio.

It was very exciting in our group (Croatia), we had 18 goals in 3 matches, I don't remember this much goals in national games ever. This means we have to win against Russia to clinch direct spot in World Cup.

That's my bad. I looked at table and saw that Greece from 3rd place have almost zero chances to catch Sweden, but then I forgot that 2nd place don't qualify to World Cup directly, they just go to playoff round. So yeah, in fight for 1st place this result can be crucial.

Since Portugal is the most motivated I don't expect any surprises in this match. As for the Azerbaijan-Luxembourg match, the odds are rather strange given the fact that Luxembourg is very successful for itself in this draw and has two victories. Azerbaijan has only one draw in its asset. However, I do not argue with the fact that the result of this match can be completely random and it is worth taking into account only that Azerbaijan will have an advantage by playing at home.

And a draw trap happened unfortunately!! I was quite afraid from that but seeing odds and knowing Portugal team, I thought a win is more likely to happen

I had to look at the Swedish team again after the match ended to just make sure that the A team was fielded, and i can report back to say there big names did play , even their most decorated player Ibrahimović did play but boy was Georgia playing some good football...the last 10 minutes i actually thought a third was coming for them.

After seeing how the results came in, its safe to say the moment we stopped playing football as an entertainment medium and tuned it into a business...is the very time the game lost its originality and honesty, the game of football isn't being played with a passion anymore which is why am convinced match fixing still exists.

In fact, Ronaldo was "uninspired" not to say anything worse about him.

The game started very well with Cristiano Ronaldo and André Silva attacking a lot, but they soon cooled off and Ireland dominated the game... at that moment I also changed my bet to at least one Irish goal... I screwed up

In the end, both teams let me down, but Ireland deserved to win, they played much better than Portugal in my opinion.

Yes the only surprising result was armenia vs north macedonia, i think its because armenia are having a bad few months and they didnt  win for six games they even couldnt beat liechtenstein at home, they started with a 3 consecutive wins and then after the long break they started losing i think its because they made some changes in their squad that didnt go well.

I have followed statistics for Romania and they had really over 23+ shots against Iceland and couldnt score a single goal just disapointing,while Portugal was really bad against Ireland and didnt deserve even that draw,Ireland was much better in this match today

Germany continues to surprise with winning results with many goals, Germany is difficult to stop and they don't care how their opponent will be destroyed when defeated by a big score. There's nothing wrong indeed, it's just that this team will continue to score goals when the opportunity arises but the fact is, when Germany struggles to score goals, the match becomes very boring, right. The result that I don't think should have happened was in the match Georgia - Sweden, Sweden was safe there but it's a shame it was a 2-0 defeat and Sweden were unable to score or at least reply with one goal.

Either Ronaldo is playing for the national team or is playing for the club team, you have always an extra advantage and much more attention automatically goes to them. Having proven this in many previous games, he is capable of changing the match even in the last minute. As usual, things didn't work out as expected, and Portugal drew 0-0 with Ireland in World Cup qualifying.

The Portuguese played a terrible match today. It is CR7's failure to score, Bruno's missed opportunities, missed passes, and poor crossing that led to this failure. However, my respect goes to the Irish countries because they played an excellent game.

I havnt seen the game yesterday live and just watched the review with the best moments of the match !
The red card in the 9th minute was for sure justified for jens hofer from Liechtenstein and he can be glad that with this foul nothing bigger happend to Leon Goretzka.
Also the team from Liechtenstein is not really a measure with other top teams and with 10 players it was a clear thing that they get kicked out of the Stadium.
The germans could have been scored more goals too i readed. But yeah im glad they won the match.
