Responsible gambling I think means that we must only gamble what we have spare and aren't too worried of losing it. People spend money on movies don't regret watching it right? Similarly people gambling should not regret losing it.

Spending on watching movies is a perfect comparison, imo, I'm using it too. Take the ticket price. This is exactly what one can easily afford to lose in a week/month of gambling, depending on how often they buy movie tickets. For some people(and I was one of them many times) even once per month is too expensive. Such people to be responsible gamblers should spend on gambling accordingly: less than $10 per month.

If you have that Mind set then you are good at it mate because it is not easy to allocate small amount for gambling each time since it is addicting and really wanna stay playing for long time .
and also compare how much we can spend in watching movies with popcorn and softdrinks than spending in our gambling moment?
10-100$ per weekend? when in gambling we can just lose that ina couple of minute .

It's funny how we compared gambling on watching movie, I mean the money we spend on watching movie is not a "spare" one, because we intentionally saved it just to watch the movie we wanted, and that's what we called "leisure" or "wants" in other terms, while playing gambling is also a "want" but I just disagree that it's like watching movie, well I guess it depends on a person.

Nonetheless, it is true that we must only use spare money in gambling to keep ourselves out of addiction and problem in the future.

This is actually varying on someones awareness and discipline towards self and if they do tolerate their addiction and tend to chase up losses rather than on complete stopping then
that would really be a big problem later on. Be responsible specially when it comes to finances because once this problem is done then you would really be

When we are gambling we don't think of saving money, we gamble only the amount that we can afford to lose, and as a gambler, we have to be ready to accept loses any time as our chance of winning is lower compared to the gambling house. Most of us do not have the skills in gambling, so it's just right that most of us have to only treat it as a way to have fun or use do it as entertainment.

I have been around gamblers for most of my life, and being a responsible gambler just seems like an oxymoron. The nature of it is tu take risks that always translate to taking greater risks than you can handle. That's why we have gambling addiction and why it is banned in places. It's a great play on human nature, I have to say, at least from a scientific standpoint.

The percentage of gamblers that are addicted to the activity is very low, now it is obvious that most people are going to lose money but if we see gambling for what it is which is nothing more but yet another form of entertainment from which you have to pay then this is no different than those activities, and if we take into account how much you spend against how much time you get some fun while gambling it could be even cheaper than to watch movies in a cinema if the size of your bet is small enough.

People who involve in gambling slowly turns become addicted because they do not really know when they need to stop gambling. They only search for fun without thinking about the risk that they got in the long term. Yes, it is playing for fun in the beginning, but then it turns to be searching for money because they see themselves can win the game, and the other people can win the bigger money.

I think it is about how we manage emotion, especially greediness and all other things that can come in gambling. But I am sure that there is a responsible gambler who can manage almost everything in gambling.

What I observe from an addict to gambling is they will come to the gambling place every day, usually, they go to that place at the night. Spend their time at that place with or without their friends, play some games for some rounds, take a break for a while and enjoy their time, play for some rounds again. If they do not go to that place, they feel an emptiness in their life. But for a gambler who searches for winning, they come to that place and play many games.

In that way, you need to limit your time and do not go to the casino almost every day because sooner or later, you will become addicted to gambling.

Yes, it's possible, but if you can afford it, it's okay. What is not okay is starting chasing your losses. Normally, you don't immediately buy a ticket for another movie, when you haven't enjoy the one you just went to. Same approach should be applied to gambling: if you lost in a couple of minutes what you actually can afford to in one week, don't gamble during the next week after that.

What I mean is, most of the people gamble only a small amount of money first for safety reason, and sometimes, when you gamble only a small amount of money, you'll never realized how much you are really losing because of you being cautious and how small the amount is.

How could I forget? If you are a person who live your life with what you earn and all of the sudden if there is no way to earn/there is no way to earn money due to lockdown don't go into gambling. This will completely destroy your life and creates issue in relationship. I assure this will happen, even if you don't have money for food request help with someone. You'll get your food, have it with peace than ending in frustration.
