You can add sports betting to that, but overall I wouldn't suggest trying to recover with those activities either. It should be kind of a rule: if you lose with gambling - don't try to recover with it. Find something less luck based, like a real job, for example, where what you earn depends on your skills and hard work.

That's right, but at least I've personally experienced cases like this. I am someone who lived only with what I earned at the time, until finally I lost my job and then I just took advantage of the opportunities that were in front of my eyes and that was gambling. I agree with you, if we lose our job we shouldn't look at gambling as our new source of income. There is a lot of risk involved in gambling, its very similar to trading. Even with the best strategy we don't have a guarantee of winning. So rely on gambling is just wrong. We should only use money that we can afford to lose.
