Well we can have a break talking about dota competition and let some other esports have the spotlight for awhile this week.
Since Intel Extreme Masters in Cologne 2025 started yesterday and  some usual results for today with Ninjas in Pyjamas blanking 3Dmax, Faze beating Liquid and Heroic not letting MiBR take a map off of them.

Tried watching the first day of this major when it began yesterday with TYLOO going against VP but it was suspended due to steam going down. Could not wait for them to get it started again so missed the following matches after that.

Also heard that in StarCraft for their tournament some of the top positions get a prize of 25BTC. Think I saw them playing this during the EWC stream I was watching earlier in the week. But that is some very good news that they are starting to payout prizes in bitcoin.

Clean debuts for new rosters today as falcons +kyosuke and g2 +sunpayus/saw both won 2-0 comfortably

G2 was surprising as furia havent been playing that bad and shouldve done better vs a new roster with new igl and coach

Yes same here. Have been missing most of these matches aswell. That happens when the weather has been perfect outside so your not wanting to sit and watch anything on your screen.
Team Vitality is currently playing Astralis and just won map 1. While The Mongolz are going against 3Dmax and it is isn't looking so good for them playing the Mongolians.

Beating a good FURIA squad who are starting to click together as a team themselves, with a very impressive 2-0. It does look as if they are starting strong in this tournament and wouldn't doubt in seeing them in the semis.
The one that surprised me in the matches yesterday was NIP losing to Aurora so badly.

Team Falcons are definitely playing bad this tournament after being up a map still managed to lose to FURIA.
Watched the second map and they suddenly imploded and lost 4 games in a row for a match that looked like they were going to easily win.
I am not sure what this team needs to do so to keep their performance consistent.
And that huge signing of Kyosuke after hearing of the amount they paid for him, did not help them in this IEM tournament to advance any further.

Mongolz look really good, almost as good team wise as vitality. They should meet again and decide the winner of IEM

They're still lacking at the tactical level, but if they can make some improvements and have better set pieces, then they might close that gap.

Despite donk popping off on the server, they almost lost their map pick Nuke. The situation only turned around for them thanks to xfloud's sudden shout at zweih for only having 1-2 kills after 10+ rounds, and then the guy decided to drop a multi-kill on the next round to kill Aurora's momentum.

Team Falcons are definitely playing bad this tournament after being up a map still managed to lose to FURIA.
Watched the second map and they suddenly imploded and lost 4 games in a row for a match that looked like they were going to easily win.

They somehow played worse than before, and they threw so many man advantages that should've been converted into winning rounds.

Ohh I really hoped to MongolZ will be in great form today and be able to take down Vitality but after what I saw in first map from Vitality ....makes me think this will be a quick 2-0 series as first map score was 13-5 so pretty much disappointed.

The only hope for MongolZ is their statistic against Vitality on their pick map and believe it or not they have a positive win rate so it's not entirely over but still very hard for them to win.

I myself is too old for this game but I always watch series when T1 is there since it's the team I grow up in the past. If riot games want to gain more viewership, they need a good narrative again for other players, they need to put Ruler as the new God if ever T1 keeps losing in LCK split 3 but let's see!

I don't even play this game, but I still keep following their competitive scene from the domestic up to the international stage, and they never disappoint. 

Speaking of Ruler, his team also won the EWC after a close series against Anyone's Legend, and props to them for making the Twisted Fate pick work in game five, given that champion never won a game in MSI.

I think since you’re familiar with Dota right? , it’s the same. You will know what teams are easy to spot, GEN.G really performed well recently but they got their first defeat on LCK split 3 to T1. I’m sure these big teams are already secured in the worlds 2025, the LCK split 3 is our opportunity to spot good teams and how they play in these team compositions.

I always think T1 can defeat GEN.G and recently they did the first lose of GENG in this season. I’m still wondering why they’re choking every game 5 of the series like it’s always one step closer. I want to take advantage of that odds sometimes since I know T1 can but GEN.G is really built different this season.

First saw this announced on hltv.org while checking some of the matches that I had bets on during IEM today and was pretty shocked too.
Why would he want to move down to tier 3 team and true seeing bc.game you don't think of this team that a pro-counterstrike player would go and play for. Because honestly, I didn't know they even had a team in CS2.

I'm not sure with his reasons for that and maybe that's because he's just happy to play for a team that's building a new roster and reputation in the CS2 pro scene. Even though that's a tier 3 team, it's possible with his help and experience, he'll be a great help to his new teammates there. There are pro players that are like that to be honest and would like to start all over again when they've got a lot of experiences already.

I remember watching his comeback to the counterstrike scene over a year ago where he was playing with a team nobody ever heard of but he eventually settled with Betboom after several months.

The group stage also ended yesterday, and this time we could have a Spirit vs. Vitality matchup in the grand final, assuming Team Spirit and Vitality don't underperform while waiting in the semifinals.

The semi-finals are almost set but we have to wait until Friday's quarter-finals results between MOUZ vs FURIA & The Mongolz vs NaVi to see who Team Spirit and Team Vitality will face the next day.

I would say FURIA will advance since they have been playing lights out from all their matches I have seen so far.
And probably NaVi since Mongolz have been disappointing in their last match yesterday. So the momentum is just not there for them to move forward.

These pro players that have been in the better teams can always get back as long as they still have a good aim. And those teams that have lack of an experienced player, they'd be willing to sign it for them. So with players that are dropping to a lower tier teams is likely that have some good offers received that they cannot decline and as well as the pride that they want to take and put into themselves that they can bring up a whole team into their hands.

Going with dota 2, the Clavision Masters is on the playoffs.

I have Nigma to win or to make the finals as they pretty much are a giant sleep lately and they seems to miss that last piece of a puzzle that will unleash their potential ...or they will go back shining here and there but without winning anything or at least making into the finals. I would have said PariVision but the guys really said after EWC they are fully focused on The international and NoOne really promised to Satanic to win TI this year as a compensation for losing EWC.

For IEM Cologne :

Can we pick anyone else besides Vitality for now ? I think not. Maybe somehow Mongolz finds an outstanding day and will beat them or otherwise it's just another trophy for Vitality.
