Well well well mongolz did it. finally a S tier CS trophy won by an asian team

And Thats an ALL ASIAN team too, no other regions players mixed in , not even a coach

For many years china looked like the most likely to win a tournament like this, but in recent times mongolz have been on another level

Every CS fan likes them and is happy they won, I think most likeable team ever like the likes of old NIP era

Kuku has said that they were informed to prepare for participating it but 5 days of preparation given to them isn't enough. And that's why they have declined it. And so Valve has to find a new team for this replacement. The GG issue I think is all about that the players and the org didn't agree on the cut that they'll get to the prize from TI. We have an idea now why they play badly for this Fissure 6.

That's true, prepping for TI in less than a week is just not enough unless they're based on WEU.

I also saw from the comments that it might've been a prize money issue, and if they play under a different banner, then the situation could get complicated.

I also read about that issue with GG. Quinn said that they've agreed to play under the banner of GG but, it seems the org won't allow that to happen when both parties, the org and players didn't agree to the cut that both of them got. This is the first time that an org have pulled out their direct invite from the TI. When most of the players have been dreaming of there one day, but this team that has been a contender for it for how many times, just called to announce that they're not participating.

Thats some kinda tough luck huh, I mean why would Valve only gave them 5 days when TI is like 2 weeks away.

I guess yeah if Visa is an issue then WEU/EEU region make sense. NA region might be another good choice if thats an issue though, I bet NA passport would be good enough to secure visa to German

Im so curious about the core problem on GG's issue. Thats a huge lost for both players and organization to not play in TI, moreover this made a huge headline so GG as an organization gonna suffer from the backlash

I think that it's because of the entire preparation for the TI and making sure that everyone arrived before 1-2 weeks TI. NA or EU teams would be the best team to have no issues with schengen visa I guess. And as for the issue of GG, it's either the actual cut of 50%-70% that both players and org didn't agreed with. Soon, we might hear about the disband of GG.

On top of that, their gameplay is always fun to watch because this team always forces the retakes even when they're at a man disadvantage, compared to other teams that would quickly give away the round after losing one engagement.

Still, props to Aurora for making it competitive in the first two maps, and woxic had some insane clutches that almost made them steal the MongolZ first map pick.

Unfortunately, both finalists are sitting out the upcoming tournament (Blast Fall), but i'm still looking forward to FaZe and Team Spirit's new player.

Yesterday we had 2 finals in Esports and both of them were great to watch.

First one , we had Fissure Universe Episode 6 play-in tournament where Spirit faced Team Falcons in BO5 finals and in a shocking result , Falcons won by 3-0 ...something that Spirit fans are not used to. ( worth mentioning that Mirele was a stand-in for Larl in this tournament )

Second one was the EWC CS2 finals where Mongolz finally won their S tier trophy and also grabbed 500k$ for placing first and another huge amount of club performance and I'm personally really happy for this team. Congrats to Aurora as well for being able to secure a final spot but their cs is far from what Mongolz can play right now.

This has never happened before that a team has pulled out of TI by their own will, apparently there are some legal issues now with the players, that arose due to GG org kicking their coach without consulting the players

Too many reasons have been said and first thing is about the disagreement of the cut from the players and from the org. Next, the roster agreed to play under the name of GG but the org themselves don't want that anymore. I've heard that GG in other esports they have a team did the same thing and likely to follow with a disband.

Let's start with Elige and Faze because in my opinion Elige was their best player in last 2 tournaments but before that he was the worst player in Faze so I think the org has the right to bench Elige and look for something else , someone cheaper but very skilled because Faze doesn't have a great budget anymore and they will surely look for someone who they can actually afford.

Now , back to Dota2 drama ...with GG and their ceo's ...I think it's just childish play from both sides but they should have found a way to part ways after TI but big egos and fragile characters made both sides to pack up and go home , leaving the Dota 2 community shocked. What is next ? well , some legal actions between players and their org and to be honest , it's hard to say who is right in this moment.

With TI only a week away, the replacement could likely be OG at this point, unless the GG squad decides to break their player contract with the org.

Yep...really in free fall for a while now and their budget is no longer a big one .

I had no idea that Banks had such big financial troubles that eventually affected it's team in a big way. I knew about the crypto scamming thing and their token but I had no idea the problems still persisted behind closer doors.

What is next for them ? fully disband ? and let the org reconstruct ?or give it a new shot with a player from T2-T3 scene ,  because I can't see them having money for big names.

Yeah I would imagine so since Minecraft is still big there and with the movie releasing their in the past year it is more than likely there is a big fanbase who can see his celebrations and be hyped behind it.
Sort of like when celebrities were doing the exact same thing on FortNite for North America.

Started watching the Blast Premier London day 1 match between M80 and Team Vitality.
The lower ranked team was doing very good for the first 4 rounds but since then it is 6-4 for M80.
Vitality have been slipping down performance wise ever since their sponsorship with Kick the few months.
Why have they been struggling with these lower tiered teams and not winning when they reach the finals of these tournaments and majors lately.
This might be the case of that Drake curse that plagued all sponsored teams a few years back making a return to Esports this time around.

Online qualifiers started today for blast-open-london-2025-finals,
First match vs Vitality vs M80 and it was really unexpected series,

M80 won map 1 absolutely destroying vitality- 13-3 , no one saw it coming, as M80 had been losing and barely beating NA teams, how does this even happen?

Alot of question for vitality and concerns losing like this to M80

The prize pool is not big and if Valve would have listen to community and release a battlepass , I'm sure the prize pool would have been double by now but another year another disappointment with Valve

Yes, they're a good team and nice choice by Valve. I thought that it's going to be EU team but, with them securing visa or having a strong passport makes sense. Valve has actually favored the chinese community a lot because they've got a huge userbase in China and this could also help them buy more of what they're selling now.

True, but they have come up with a different thing this time. The prize pool is lower compared to the past TIs but we can't ask for more and what matters here I think is the pride of getting the aegis and us being fans, the excitement that this TI brings.

Yup, they had that one solid run back in one of the previous seasons of DreamLeague, and their players have been on the big stage before, so there's good potential for them to shock teams on TI.

That's what I know in China and some other countries. They're very supportive to their teams not just in Olympics but as long as it is an international competition, they're there to assist them. And so, I think that YB was able to do that with the help of their supportive government to them.

Very true. I wonder if we're going to see the powerhouse of China again in dota 2. Although there are still some good teams from there but it's not the same as before that almost every team from there is such a good competitor in the global scene.
