The Netherlands does not have many players who shine like squads from other countries, only a few players who have top names.  however, that does not mean their performance will be very doubtful in this world cup stage. after all they have statistics that are quite impressive, in 15 matches, they played quite well and smoothly without defeat.

meaning, their probability of qualifying in the next group stage is wide open compared to other contestants who are members of group A. and, maybe in the Qatar world cup later, they could give us a surprise.
as for the other three contestants, such as Senegal, Ecuador, Qatar, they must at least try to beat the Netherlands if they want to qualify for the next phase.

Netherlands have a solid team in the world cup and i think they will pass the group stage maybe one more knockout faze and i think that will be it. I dont think they have that mentality or quality to win the biggest tournament. Netherlands will pass the group probobly at first place.

Like Croatia's journey in the 2018 world cup, they were a team that was not seeded in the world cup at that time as a strong candidate who would enter the final round. however, in the end Croatia was able to answer the pessimism and was able to beat their opponents until they entered the final round.
in the Qatar world cup, the Croatian squad remains the underdog team who are not too favorites to win the Qatar world cup. however, his existence will always be counted as one of the challengers in this championship.

so is the Netherlands, as we all know.
they don't really have the names of famous stars like stars from favorite countries. doesn't mean they don't have a chance at the Qatar world cup later. after all, the Netherlands have a very solid teamwork and that is evident in their stats.
after all, the Netherlands twice knocked out Belgium in the League of Nations. and I think, enough capital for them to become one of the challengers in the world cup later, even though as an underdog team.

And if Depay is at 100% and they get a bit lucky, I think they might even get a chance of winning the whole thing.

I believe that Ecuador is going to top this group, and Netherlands may struggle to qualify for the next round. Netherlands is not in good form since Euro 2021. Ecuador on the other hand has performed exceptionally well in the Copa America 2021 and the World Cup qualifiers. The other two teams in Group A (Qatar and Senegal) are also quite strong and both the teams have performed well at international level recently. Qatar has the home advantage as well. It is going to be tough for the Netherlands, even to qualify to knockout phase.

Yes... I maybe biased. But from what I have seen, people normally over-estimate the chances of UEFA teams, while under-estimating those of the CONMEBOL teams. Let's not forget the fact that Ecuador secured qualification to the world cup from the toughest confederation. They managed to finish on top of very strong teams such as Colombia and Chile. I am not saying that UEFA is an easier confederation. But I found the Dutch performance less than satisfactory, in both the World Cup qualifiers and during the Euro 2021.

There is no doubt about quality of CONMEBOL because they are surely best in the world and have the toughest teams which can give good fight to UEFA which is also one of the best right now we have these two most professional regions with now Africa is also doing good development and have chance to be developed in coming years.

I agreed with your all lineup because I am also feeling here Netherlands, Ecuador and Senegal are the best units with Qatar is surely having some home advantage with no quality and level as they are here just because of host country but can take one or two points but most chances they could be at the bottom of this group as I am still on my words they could be not in next world cup even we have 48 teams because they are still lack of quality.

I don't think that you have a good idea about the Ecuadorian team. They managed qualification from the toughest confederation, by overtaking teams that are ahead of them in FIFA rankings. Netherlands do have some talented and experienced players such as Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong, but the recent performance is not up to the mark. And I don't trust Senegal, because they have a habit of losing crucial matches. Now coming to Qatar, there is a chance that they can be the dark horses. Qatar enjoys home advantage and recently they have performed well during the international friendlies.

Apparently, Ecuador will have to work hard if they want to qualify for the next round. at least, they must subvert the host first in the opening match. if they have it, Ecuador will just need to move on to the next step to overthrow Senegal.

however, it seems that the scenario will be difficult to realize. the thing is, Senegal is a tough team and they are ranked 18th in FiFA and Ecudor are ranked 44th in FIFA. apparently, Ecuador's chances are very small in this championship.

You are right that anything can happen in football, but if we talk about the chances of qualifying for the play-offs from group A, I think the Netherlands and Senegal have a great chance because most of the players on their national team rosters have players who  have experience playing in Europe's top leagues.

However, the Netherlands and Senegal should keep in mind the hosts Qatar, who I believe are working very hard to make history at the 2022 World Cup, as well as other rivals who are not favorites from a FIFA rankings point of view.

Between 1930 and 2018, Italy in 1934 & 1938 and Brazil in 1958 & 1962 have been the only nations to win back-to-back FIFA World Cups. Argentina defeated West Germany in the 1986 World Cup Final but the Germans turned the tables when the two sides met in the final of Italia '90.

Some fun facts about World Cups! Definitely, it's hard for any national team to achieve this, but why not? As you can see 60 years passed since the last time, in 1986/1990 Argentina was very close.

It is very difficult to make a comparison between Senegal and Qatar. I used to be very critical of the Qatari team (you can check my previous posts). But then I need to admit that recently they have shown a lot of improvement. Senegal is the strongest team from CAF. But then, historically the performance from the African teams have been inconsistent. Sometimes they will upset tournament favorites and the next day they will go down against weak teams by big margin. Anyway, the chances that either Qatar or Senegal will manage to defeat Netherlands/Ecuador is very slim.

Even if we go with database and analysis then surely we can do better instead of having all things through current and previous forms because it's never been easy for any team to stay on same level for long time as this is part of the routine cycle ups and downs are also part of the life here with most chances Brazil is going to be one of the best team but for their opponent we have few teams which are giving their best and can take pole position.

France is surely with the strength of squad currently one of the best in Europe and can go through into last four but few things which are creating mess up for me is their inner problems can do something worst for them in this event, and we can go for the final which could be between Argentina vs Brazil which is also option right now.

You can't even compare the Brazil team of 1994-2002 with the current French team. It would be an insult to the former. Back then Brazil had not one or two, but more than half a dozen of the best players in the world. On top of that, they had the best captain back then (Dunga). Players such as Ronaldo, Cafu, Romário, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Edmundo, Bebeto, Emerson and Zé Roberto were capable of singlehandedly winning matches for their team. Current French team is nowhere near when we talk about the skills and capability.

Qatar's only advantage in this world cup is as the home team, nothing more.

while Senegal, has several players who play in the European league competition. apart from Sadio Mane who became the mascot of their squad, there are several other names who also have important positions in their respective clubs. such as, Edouard Mendy who became the main goalkeeper in the Chelsea team, Kalidou Koulibaly who became this player in the Chelsea defense, and several other names who played in the European league. in terms of strength, it is clear that Senegal has more depth than Ecuador and Qatar. the FIFA rankings are also quite far apart.

Clearly, Senegal's probability is greater as a team that is certain to qualify for the next round than the other two candidates.  However, in football it is teamwork that determines a victory. for the Netherlands, I've covered it in many previous posts.
