There is this amazing atmosphere when you play in the world cup, and Qatar would have an insane advantage over all other teams, I mean like a whole stadium filled with their supporters, whereas the other team would just have maybe a few hundred at best. That means we are going to see Qatar overachieve, but even with that Senegal and Netherlands are still far superior, so it would be difficult for them to lose.

At least it can be a whipping material for their enthusiasm even though it seems difficult.
But indeed, with these conditions, they also get more opportunities. lots of pairs of eyes who of course now know that they are not in the favorite but indeed it will be a real surprise if they can talk a lot.
Their first match must be all out because this can be another encouragement for them, especially if they can win.

I have mixed feelings about that first game. I really like Ecuador and therefore I would love to see them win. However, it would be a great boost of confidence for Qatar players and fans if Qatar wins the opening game. We have two more days and I can't wait for the tournament to start. Too bad that the first games in every day are scheduled for the time when I'm at work so I probably won't be able to watch

As for Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal, if we refer from the statistics we have, from the depth of the players, the FIFA ranking. flying hours of players who play in European leagues. so, Senegal has the right to be a companion to the Netherlands who passed in this group phase. in other words, Qatar and Ecuador will be overthrown by Senegal.

I do not agree that Portugal has been in crisis; no not at all. Yes they struggled during the qualifying stages for the worldcup but you cannot compare that form to now. Why? Now Portugal is going to the worldcup with a complete 11 in view (compared to qualifiers where they chop and change tactics and players as related to available players due to either fatigue form or injuries).

In my opinion, portugal have a very solid defense; if they can take their chances, they will have a good run in the worldcup. Same with Argentina, france and the Netherlands

Portugal has enough qualified player resources, they have almost complete depth of players on all fronts. it's just that, their problems are on the front lines. yes this is just my opinion, does not determine the real truth. So far, we have only talked based on existing statistics and data. if we observe, Fernando Santos tends to use a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation.

only in the trial match against Nigeria, Portugal used a different formation with a 4-3-1-2 pattern. the results are quite effective, despite the fact that Nigeria is not as resilient as it used to be.

Personally, I'm not sure how much Ronaldo can help the Portugal national team right now.
He has not played at a high level for a long time, in fact he doesn't play in Manchester at all, he is in conflict with the club and the fans, and it is questionable how physically and mentally he is ready for this World Cup.
I think coach Portugal will make a big mistake if he puts him in the team to play based on his old glory and if he is not fully ready to play.

Yeah, I guess Qatar would need to be lucky, say win with a surprise 1 - 0 to the Netherlands, or something like that. It can happen, but in my view the Netherlands and Ecuador are the two teams going forward under normal circumstances.

The first group is very unpredictable and has 4 strong teams. Senegal is the strongest team from CAF and therefore we can't underestimate them. Qatar has the home advantage and their recent form is really good. Although I don't think that either Senegal or Qatar may be able to defeat Netherlands, it is quite possible that one of the matches may end up as a draw. And if Ecuador manages to defeat Netherlands, then qualifying scenarios for the next round will get very interesting. And Netherlands do have a history of suffering big upsets in the world cup.

Yes, it is like that, what apsa is that if he does not get to put it in the headline it will cause more controversy and I think the last thing this technical director wants is for much more controversy to be generated with what has happened, CR7 has many problems for Now, I don't know if they can do something to him at the legal level, but I'm sure they can do something and that is to not get into more trouble, I know that there are many players in Portugal who play for Man United and they have maintained a very good relationship with CR7. to the limit and as not to generate controversies, I think he will be the captain of Portugal and that is something that they must respect, in that case I would not complicate myself, I would put CR7 as his last starter in all games, I would only scar him if asked me, it's really to avoid problems.

In the match between Qatar and Ecuador, I want to put Ecuador ahead. Although Qatar is the host team, Ecuador's performance is much higher. But it is never right to think that Qatar will play badly. Qatar will never want to miss this opportunity of hosting the World Cup in its home country.

I have to say the "bribe" discussions could put a big mark on that game. I am not saying that Qatar will win, nor saying Qatar can't win without a bribe, but the reality is that there is now a mark. This is the same nation that killed over 6000 people just to build these stadiums, and proven that they bribed a lot of Fifa officials who are sacked now, all because they let Qatar run the world cup just because they got bribed.

Now all these combined, I doubt it would be unlikely for Qatar to win the first game with bribes, millions and millions of dollars to each players, and considering how much money that is for most people in the world, I am sure it will definitely be shady.

Based on statices and the number of quality players in the South American team, Ecuador is a better side to win against the host nation Qatar but considering the history of the last two hosts of the world cup Brazil and South Africa which we saw the host nation defeating their opponent in the opening game, I think Qatar will likely get her first three points against Ecuador tomorrow because a preferential treatment may be giving to the host country to motivate their fans to turn up in supporting them and to avoid the stadium becoming empty when matches are ongoing.
