Looks like the first games of 1/16 should be fairly easy for Netherlands against the USA and England against Senegal and I doubt there will be any surprise for these two teams to go further to 1/8 stage.USA yesterday in the last minute suffered truly a lot and the VAR neglected a penalty to Iran which could have as well equalized,I liked the game very much because beside the sport battle there was also a political battle here which sparked the game even further,it was truly enjoyable to watch.

I also thought France would let some of its starters and sub them in the second half. Mbappe and Giroud have history to make but Deschamps believes that the safest way to protect its players from possible injuries is to rest them and relax.

Defeating against a team like Tunisia is very embarrassing. I would have been happy to draw the match. But France's performance was very poor. I can't watch the first half. I was very disappointed with their performance in the second half. France made several attempts to invade. But they can't finish properly. The French players made a lot of mistakes.

First off, I think France didn't play the match with all seriousness considering the fact that the team has already qualified to the next stage and they also rested their key players for the knockout stage so that they may not be affected by injury or fatigue. Players like Mnappe, Griezmann and Dembele wouldn't have come from the bench if it was a serious match for France so I think the 1:0 loss to the African team Tunisia took nothing from them since they finished as the group leaders ahead of Australia which became the next team to join them after defeating Denmark 1:0.

Even though this was a very good opportunity and moment for Mbappe to be able to add to his goal if France put the main squad in from the start, Mbappe just played in the 63rd minute after Tunisia scored a goal. With Mbappe playing, of course France doesn't want to lose and maybe, previously Deschamps believed that by playing a second-tier player the result might be a draw.
But what happened was that this was a consolation victory for Tunisia, but the defeat still didn't make France's position taken over and France still won Group D.

But to be honest, this is indeed a disappointing result because I also bet on a French win.
Before that I didn't think France would only play with second-tier players, and I thought France would still play as usual with its best squad. Considering that at least they also have to give Mbappe the opportunity to add goals and of course, to make Mbappe's goals stronger as the top scorer.

I would put Mbappe and Messi ahead in the fight for the Golden Boot. Because I think these two teams have the proper qualification to go to the semi-final or the final. Mbappe and Messi's performances are excellent in every match. They have fully contributed to the team's victory. And if such form can be maintained by these two games then we will see many more goals and assists from Mbappe and Messi in this World Cup. Rashford and Valencia's performances are not bad. But I think England and Spain's teams are strong enough. Both of them started the World Cup well but we saw their performance deteriorate in the next matches.
