Third place - Belgium - arguably one of the strongest teams with a number of world class players and a full squad, reaching the semis a number of times recently

Too early to predict - after watching todays match of UFEA Spanish league. may upsets happen as Barcelona lost to Frankfort today.
But I think England might win this World Cup. But we can predict better once the series start.

Most of the members are predicting and making bets on Senegal. If they be able to retain the trophy this time as well. Also Nigerian have great strength but you never know. Sport is 80% hard work and 20% luck. I believe in luck as well. But to early for any prediction.

Senegal and Nigeria have been doing great in this year's world cup, but my predictions for this year's winners are Brazil(1st), France(2nd), and the (3rd) one is Belgium. I guess they have gained high confidence and momentum this year which made the crowd's favorite to win. Although we have our own bets but i am more certain with these. World cup referees are not friendly with the African Teams. That not withstanding, fair play can bring out the best in the world cup.

If you start to think that Africans will not get the best of officiating even before the games begins you are going to enjoy the world cup. You will be biased and always think that every foul against an African country is a wrong call. You have to keep an open mind so you can enjoy the game. Another thing is that Nigeria not qualifying is a better thing to the country as it will help them to prepare properly and get a better coach that can help in fresh competitions from now.

In the last 20 years, we have a great dominance of European national teams at world championships.
The last national team from South America to win the World Cup was Brazil 20 years ago.
At every World Cup, Brazil came as a favorite and had great players, but something would always happen and they would lose.
Will it be different this time?
It is very difficult for me to say that because at this World Cup we will have at least 4-5 national teams coming as favorites for the title, such as France, England, Spain, Germany, Argentina etc.
Portugal was unconvincing in the European qualifiers and would not place them in this group of favorites for the title but they remain a dangerous team for everyone.
On the other hand, it seems to me that Neymar is no longer at his peak and will not be able to help his national team much.

Portugal is a team that usually is not amongst the top favorites, but it is a teams that is able to win against top favorites on a good day and should not be underestimated.

Even without Ronaldo Portugal is a still a very good team. I know Portugal will qualify for the final. Portugal is one of the team that  always qualify to participate for world cup, don't think Ronaldo is not the only hope for Portugal.

In general, England has the best ranking in the international football category, England has won several trophies such as: world cup, UEFA, but it's been a long time, the biggest factor that makes England weak in every league is the players.

While France their team played neater than England, both from attack, they were faster and sharper both it was good attack etc, I don't commend the French team, it's a fact on the pitch, I have the belief the strongest team for this 2022 world cup, there are 4 countries France, Croatia, Germany and Portugal, that's just my guess, England not.

Oh, I see. Indeed, Brazil had outstanding results on the qualifiers phase. Argentina had an excellent performance too, but Brazil was even better. No doubts about that, they really deserve the favorite positions they always are when we talk about world cup. But I think it's not accurate to make predictions based only on this early stage, since they are playing against South America's countries exclusively. The real challenge starts when the games are played against european teams, and that is when Brazil (and also Argentina) struggles to pass ahead.

In 2006 it was France which overcame Brazil, 2010 it was Netherlands, 2014 it was Germany and 2018 it was Belgium.

But if Brazil isn't dependant on Neymar anymore and play collectively, as you said, I believe they have conditions to reach the finals.

Well, i respect your opinion but i think most of the FIFA audience have high hopes that England and Germany have the impressive odds that included them as the team favorites. Sometimes what we think and see may be different from others, but i guess that happens to all of us. However, i am more certain that Brazil takes the lead and is more advanced than those countries you've said. So maybe that's a plus point for Brazil.
