see that's the thing, I don't see England as having a strong side. we have a few good players eg:TrentAA, Bellingham etc, however as a squad I dont think we are anything special.

I also really hate the footage of the fan park 'celebrations' in England lately. Previous years they've all been great videos of great celebrations, but now the 'celebrations' are so forced!

Spanish team played like they are always playing - endless passes and no one to actually score a goal. I'm glad that it costed them because now they will have to change something. Yes, it's nice to see them passing the ball in the center of the field, but you can't win if you don't shoot at the goal. Too bad for some of the older players for which this was probably their last World Cup.

The defense built by Morocco really went perfectly, almost throughout the match they were pressed but they were able to withstand any pressure given by Spain. It's true they won't be able to win because they dominate the game as long as they can't score goals. But they couldn't fix this in this World Cup. They can make up for something that they lacked in this edition because they have a young squad of players they can keep in the future.

The Moroccan vs Spain style of play as planned, they prefer total defense rather than open play. Tiki Taka, which is typical of the Spanish game, can only be contained with total defensive tactics. The Moroccan coach made the right decision by installing defensive tactics, the results were very sweet even though some people didn't like that style. As Mourinho has said before, the result of a match is not determined by how well a team plays, the final result can help the team move on to the next round.

Morocco have only conceded one goal through out this World Cup, that’s should show you that their defensive solidity have been something they have worked out and perfected before the start of the World Cup. Spain failed to understand that this is the world cup match, not a league game, and possession and pass completion doesn't win you a World Cup. At some point in the game, I got tired of watching them continuously pass all game with no urgency. Hopefully this style will finally evolve after 2 consecutive Rd.16 exits.

Spain pressing yesterday didn't surprise me because the majority of the Spanish team were players from Barcelona. while the Moroccan players were occupied with attacking and defending. I believe that the Spanish team needs to improve in order to compete well in international games. The Spanish team played poorly in the two games after their 7-nil victory over a weak Costa Rica team, and they even lost to Japan. When I looked at the team they invited to the world cup, Spain was never my favorite. The only team that can save Africa is Morocco's.

Personally, although from England I cant seem to enjoy the football we play, it's just boring. I feel France and Brazil are the 2 teams to beat, however personally I want Argentina to win, just so that Messi gets to lift the World Cup!

On paper France is more superior in this match, France has several stickers that are more dangerous when compared to England.  the combination of Mbappe and Giroud, became the main key player for the victory of the French national team in the group phase until the round of 16 match. however, England was not an easy opponent for France to conquer.

The Three Lions also have above average player depth in almost all of their lines. even when referring to the defense, the defense of The Three Lions is tougher than France. the proof, they only conceded 2 goals, throughout the game until the round of 16. and has, better goal productivity than France. France only has 10 goals from 4 matches, and England has 12 goals.

I will not be surprised, if in the end if England win this game. why, because I think, this is a battle of tactics and strategy. in my view England tactics and strategy are better than French. But this is just a personal opinion, and don't misinterpret it. because in reality, the result will be determined when this match starts later.

Seeing Morocco advance for the quarter-finals makes me feel so much better about watching the World Cup, even though it is not my nation, but I am very delighted as an African. This is what I expect when the World Cup is hosted every four years; I always want to see challenges such as weak national teams improving and defeating countries known for their super players, and adding to the history of the World Cup by an unexpected country topping the group stage and also qualifying to a certain stage. Morocco outperformed is more our expectations because no one expected them to reach quarterfinal stage.

However, France's main weakness is that they are too dependent on Mbappe's performance. Relying on just one player is too risky.

I don't believe you are correct, as I don't see any justification for France's reliance on mbappe based on the matches they have played thus far in this world cup. or is it as a result of mbappe's five goals? If that is the cause, please state it in the side. It will be difficult to predict the outcome of the forthcoming game between these two nations because both national teams' squads are very powerful, especially in attacking, but I think France has a dangerous attacker, especially those on the wing who are Mbappe and Dembele.

Portugal displayed some marvellous game yesterday such fine attacks and strikes by Ramos ,what a team . In quarter finals Portugal will definitely give Morocco hard time and may be they will gave little difficulty in scoring goals unlike yesterday where they were so comfortable in goals . I had really expected spain to win but the Moroccans were just excellent in their defence and their tactics worked for them and now their about to face off with another strong Portuguese side that has the likes of one of the football GOAT.

Cristiano Ronaldo not being able to play a role for his team, I don't think that's it. It's not surprising that his not been delivering on the job as expected and by that, I mean the goal scoring but, his still very much a leader and the hope of the Portuguese team as he has always been.
It was surprising he wasn't wasn't the starting line up against Switzerland yesterday and that I think was simply a management strategy of having him come from the bench and possibly would deliver the game for his team if they were in difficulty but that wasn't the case.
The Portuguese team were just exceptional and they had lots of goals to show for it. Even Ronaldo managed to get one goal from an offline position and what a shot it was.
