Croatia defeated Brazil 4-2 in the World Cup quarterfinals, knocking out tournament favourites Brazil for the fourth time in their last five appearances.  Croatia's goalkeeper, Livakovic, earned plaudits for his performance. He may be a contender for the Best Goalkeeper of the World Cup Award.

Yeah, Croatia for the win with that 4-2 in the penalties. What a series of turn of events, when Neymar was really able to play then they fall short on Croatia. I think this will be a match for semis between Croatia and Argentina, my wild guess.

Brazil are out on penalties. They brought that on themselves in the extension. If you are leading 1-0, you just have to close things up and make sure no one can pass. the 1-1 was a bit lucky but Croatia should never have had that chance of course. In the penalty shootout, Brazil seemed already broken before they had to start. Croatia took the penalties very sharply and placed. Brazil is not going to be world champion again, who would be the remaining favourite, France?

What an amazing match!  So much awesome defense in the first 90, two incredible goals in OT, and to finish it off on penalty kicks against Allison Becker!  Hats off to Croatia, I had Brazil going all the way at the start, but I suspected that Croatia wouldn't make it easy for anyone they faced.

I said before I won't be surprised if Croatia won after seeing how they started the game but I thought that Brazil still could win. Just wow, the most favourite team to win this version of World Cup was eliminated in an early stage
Don't know if Brazil defeat was more shocking than Argentina defeat vs Saudi Arabia but definitely the impact of Brazil elimination was way bigger!

Even though i thought that Brazil would be the slight favorite in this match i also expected it to be a very close game and i was surprised that Brazil was biggest favorite to win and therefore had the worst odds out of all the matches of the quarterfinals. Croatia played as expected and they managed to keep away the Brazilians from their goal almost the entire match. Of course Brazil was the dominating team and their goal to go in front with 1-0 was definitely deserved at that point. The equalizer of Croatia was pretty lucky in my opinion because it was their first shot on the goal of the whole match and it went in.
Croatia is just so mentally strong during the penalty shoot-out. Congrats Croatia.

Unexpectedly Croatia played aggressively this time, they could control the match for some time until finally Brazil could take over, this was an interesting match both teams played attacking without anyone being more inclined to defend.
No goals have been scored yet but both teams have a chance to score although Brazil's attack is more dangerous so far but Croatia is very solid especially their goalkeeper who continues to perform well.

I think it was a balanced game in the first halftime and both Croatia and Brazil got some chances to score.
But this chances wasnt really dangerous for the Goalkeepers . I looking excited forward to the second halftime.
My heart this time is with Croatia and hopefully they will be make it , even they win with luck.
Maybe the yellow card for Danilo can break there neck.

But what a game it was, it was Neymar who take Brazil to front by scoring a goal in 106 minute and Croatia made an equalizer goal in 116 minute. Unbelievably the struggle of the Croatian players, when Neymar scored the winning goal for Brazil everyone thought the match would be won by Brazil. Who would have thought, one counter attack from Croatia could change everything.
The penalty shoot-out round had made all the Brazilian supporters unable to believe what they had just seen, Croatia had managed to beat one of the most favored teams.

Its so hard broken for the brazilin team. How can they lose this match when they played better football in the 120 mins of play  

I wanted to see brazil win and see them in the semi-finals but not to be.  

Most people are sad after this match, including me. And not to mention, those who bet on Croatia got above 8 odds. Congratulations to them. I have no words to speak

It was hard to think, indeed in this match I was sure that almost all of Brazil's bets would qualify but Croatia silenced it through a thrilling penalty shoot-out, after winning 1:0 Brazil couldn't defend it I saw the Brazilian defense concede a little and Croatia took good advantage.
This is a prediction that sometimes misses what we have expected so far and even this is almost the same as Spain, the fate of Brazil now, but somehow it must be accepted and congratulations for Croatia to qualify for the semifinals.

Croatia did it and what a way. Well defended and well played Croatia. Heartbreak for Brazil but Croatia did a better job.  Brazil should have found some goals early with some chances but Croatia's goalkeeper have been brilliant as well. I think everyone played very well in Croatia team today.

Now we have Netherlands vs Argentina now. Tight game but I think Argentina should win this by the end.

Neymar again did not have any World Cup final, not mention about its trophy. Brazil was closely to a win but Croatia did not give up and they use all energy left to find a goal. They successfully got it with a support from Marquinhos.

I know, it is unfair to blame it on Marquinhos in the 1 - 1 goal but he is actually a most mentioned Brazilian player in this match. At the end, he missed a penalty and in general he contributed to Brazil defeat.

Livakovic, a goalkeeper of Croatia can be considered as a best goalkeeper in this World Cup. I don't think we must wait for the World Cup ending, he deserves it even now, just at quarter round.

At the end, I pay attention on quick talk between Modric, Casemiro and Rodrygo. It's very emotional moment between Real Madrid players (Casemiro, Modric) and ex-Real Madrid player (Casemiro).

No meeting for Messi and Neymar in semi-final but will Messi play in semi-final? Netherlands can send Argentina and Messi to home too, I really think so.

Brazil vs Croatia game was interesting and tough. The two teams played very well with a strong defence.  The problem of Brazil in the match was that they don't quickly pass the ball, whenever Anthony holds the ball he always want to drible and with this the Croatia players always take the ball from them. After Neymar scored the first goal Brazil players where so relaxed in their game forgetting that Croatia players are tough and anything can happen,  after the first goal Brazil never thought Croatia could score a goal to equalize the score.

Yeah. All Croatian players were playing absolutely great! Livaković played an exeptional game! He made only one mistake when Neymar scored a goal. I still can't believe that Croatia managed to return to the match after conceding a goal few seconds before the end of the first extra time.

Your country is very lucky to beat a famous and strong team like Brazil to qualify for the semi-finals. Few people actually expected such a game.  Not many people thought that Croatia would play so well and beat Brazil. The next game, Argentina vs Netherlands, is less than 1 hour away to start . If Argentina wins, Croatia will again face another famous team like Brazil, that is Argentina. Let's see what happens in that match
