Portugal did not see it coming. Ronaldo didn't see it coming. Too bad his dream has been cut short. I feel bad for him. The Moroccan team didn't even give the Portuguese team a chance to play in the midfield. They forced them to use the sides and then the whole of the 11 players became defenders. I would be surprised if the golden boot doesn't go to Bond, the Morroccan goal keeper. He did too amazing of a play and made out of this world saves. The award of the Man of the match should go to Ziyech. First I will say to Morocco for the victory in the match.
It was an extraordinary match which was shown once again by Morocco. They managed to keep their 1 goal in the first half in the second half very well. Morocco's defense was really very tight, making it difficult for Portugal to penetrate their defense. Portugal, on the other hand, played a bit in a hurry and even they often lost the ball because I noted that Morocco created several counter-attacks which were very dangerous. If only they played like the last minutes with a cross into the box actually that could be their option. But Portugal was not brave enough to do that while there was still a long time remaining.
A very emotional result for a Cristiano Ronaldo when they are on paper more favored than Morocco.
