English national team been eliminated in the World Cup does not mean that the play shity football. Those guys are all professional players, and they had a good ride up through the quarterfinals.

England did well in this competition, they played and looked like they were going to win the game against france, but France managed the game properly to the end. We cannot say any team were more dominant in the game, both teams had their moments from what I saw. There are many young players in the England National football team, they have a good future ahead with the performance they were able to show in this world cup. They will have a better chance in the next competition with the little experience that these current young players will gain before that time.

Nobody is kicking against the performance of England in the match between them and France, because when looking at France notice that they managed their game very well, and protect their goal at last, what i expected england to equalize the match through the penalty but England was under tension, it's not that France played to the extent of making England to lose courage, the thing is that England luck run against them and if not, the match would have ended penalty and their is every possibility that they would have win France.

If you read through Christana Ronaldo social media post today you will see how heart breaking it was for the legend to retire from active football without winning world cup for his country, but this is football anything can happen so Ronaldo has to man up and be grateful for all he has achieved in his football career.

Surely a world cup title was all that was missing for Ronaldo to win before the world cup began, he has won everything that there is to win in football, and now Portugal have been eliminated in the quarter final, bringing Ronaldo's quest for the world cup title to an end, his situation is most sad because this is his last world cup tournament, he would probably have retired by the time the next world cup is played. I believe Ronaldo would have possibly played in the next Euro tournament that is coming up in two years time, but i don't think he will, the manager has already started benching him, and if he doesn't retire now in the hope of playing in Euro 2024 he might not even be called up to the national team, so the best thing for Ronaldo is to retire now with his great legacy.

Would it be a tragedy for him not to be called up to the national team? Believe me, you can think of many reasons and excuses why he was not called up, ranging from injury to a player's personal reluctance to play for the national team. He will continue to play anyway, he has a month to find a team and I am sure he will be fine.

I'm sure the quarter-finals team still has the same chance but for Morocco they have to face the seeded team again in the semifinals, that's the tough road they have to go through to reach the final.

I can't really say the semi final will be a easy one for Morroco, but I think it won't really be a easy one for France also, Morroco have being surprising everyone, nobody believe that they will go this far, Morroco didn't lose any match in their group stage, Morroco defeat Spain in knock out stage, Morroco defeated Portugal in quarter final, don't underestimate Morroco in semi final, I know it will be a very tough match because France will put all their efforts to win Morroco, since they see the way Morroco have being playing they won't want to take any chances.

But France found it more easier to win, England didn’t stand a chance against the French defense. England is has a great team when it comes to football, I don't think they are overrated, it is just that France is better, I don't know where you found the stats that made you believe that England would or should win against France, but from the odds in online sportsbooks, it showed that gamblers were betting massively on France, so I am personally not surprised that France won, from the initial beginning of the match, I expected them to win, it would have been a surprise to me if they didn't.
So for me, I don't think England is overrated, they are indeed good, but from all indications, France is better in football than England.

Considering the balance between France and England, France is a stronger team.  I think the balance is in favor of France.  England is never a weak team.  They are still unlucky in terms of penalties.  Had Kane scored the second penalty, they could have gone to overtime and maybe even won.  It was what a lot of people expected, and France won.  For me, the dream for Morocco will be this far.  It's really hard to beat France.

Myself too have the same wish of Morocco and Croatia making to the final. This time both Argentina and France will take it seriously and do the best from the very beginning. Argentina is a more likely team for the final match than Croatia.  However, nothing can be guaranteed in the game.  So we cannot ignore Croatia.  Because Croatia defeated a strong team like Brazil in the quarter-finals and got a chance in the semi-finals . It's not just "lucky factor".
Every time England start a competition as if they are the super favorites, [an example was in the last europeans of 2020 in which they lost (at home) against italy] but they haven't won an international competition since 1966!
Among other things penalties are always a negative point in their performance... also in 2020 they lost for the same reason.

France is a much more "compact and well-known" team.
no surprise they arrived at this stage even during this competition.

I'm of the complete opposite.  I want to see morroco and Croatia battle for it all.  Unless you are a fan of one of the other teams how does it not get better than that?  Guaranteed a winner from a team who has never won it and quite possibly from a team who's entire continent has never won it.  Would be a pack it in final and definitely a low scoring game but that's what I want to see.

You are right about them having young players who have the gift of time to improve in their skills and play better in the next world cup, but I would say or conclude that they are unlucky, the game of football has a very small part of it tied to luck, the most important part of strategy and tactics, in football, a team can be unlucky but can easily convert that to being lucky if they have a good playing strategy and tactics that their opponent don't know of, or one that their opponents even know of but don't have an antidote to it.

Argentina's goalkeeper isn't bad either. Has been a real penalty killer in the match against the Netherlands. Many people will have missed it, but Morocco has only conceded 1 goal in the entire tournament and that was also an own goal. They also beat Morocco 2-0, Belgium still has a strong team. It didn't matter much if Belgium had continued instead of Croatia. And then we might have had Belgium - Argentina. How nice would that have been? Too bad the tournament is already starting its last week. So you see that a World Cup is also over in no time. Tuesday is the first semi-final between Croatia and Argentina.

Martinez has always been a good goal keeper who has been hiding under the shadows of other players, after breaking through with Arsenal he has lived up to expectation ever since and progressing so well. Morocco are making history already in this world cup and I wish they can maintain and hold up until the end. It will be marvelous to see Morocco an African nation winning it for the first time in history.

He talked about how Van Gaal should shut up When you talk about these type of stuff, goalkeepers take notice, and the real good ones will use that as fire to burn them to be better. It is also a very scary situation because its literally like 5-10 minutes max, probably just 5 minutes all deciding everything, so even the smallest touches would make it very important and clear. I personally found it great, Martinez saved 2 shots that decided the whole thing, quite big deal.

I have to be honest, I didn't expect a World Cup like this. Almost all the favorites were eliminated and when we look at the remaining teams, France is the only favorite. Obviously we have seen very sad results in this tournament. Portugal's elimination and Ronaldo's underappreciation even though it was his last tournament made me sad. When I look at the semi-final matches, I think Argentina and France will meet in the final.

That's the most possible final but I wouldn't say no to any final. Honestly I want Messi to win the trophy but we should accept that without Messi Argentina is just an ordinary team. In history always top teams won this tournament. Even though we saw a lot of surprise teams in semi finals, we didn't see any surprise winner. France has the best squad and right now they probably have the lowest odds, I didn't see championship odds though.
There are so many funny possibilities, we might see Croatia - France final same as last time, see an African team in finals first time, see all of the favorites eliminated before final etc. I'm okay with every possibilities. This may be the weirdest World Cup from start to finish, from location to local rules, results to -maybe- finalists.

morocco is no longer the underdog now, they are a terrible team at the moment and even many big teams have been beaten by them, that doesn't mean that france won't be the next target for morocco to return home, no one knows what surprises will be in the semifinals later and that hard to guess, even though previously I thought Brazil would meet France in the final, it turns out that Croatia had eliminated Brazil in the quarter-finals yesterday

I didn't understand why he chose to take all them penalties. Like, he was against Lloris, his team mate and captain, they've got years and experience together, trained together and you could see the tension build up between them especially for Harry Kane as he was to attempt a come back for his team. The best he could have done is let someone else take the shoot but, he wants to add to his goals and being the penalty takers for England, he sent it out wide and there goes England.

They had a good squad for this year, let's hope it doesn't deteriorate in the next 4years.
