Not really how I wanted to challenge him, but so be it. This is the season with a lot of new rules/points, so if there was ever a chance - it's now.

Come on, I am not that scary  I am consistent, so it is all about you guys. I will grind my way to top 500k for sure, top 200k probably, top 100k is already a bit of stretch. So to win against me you just need to have very good season. But if you guys have poor seasons you don't have a chance, I will always do my part.

I haven't figured out the recalculation of points according to the new rules yet, but double chips for the season is very good!

A friend asked me if he could join the paid pool. He has some crypto, is into fantasy but he's not on BTT and probably has no desire to be. He can create an account and write a few posts for sure.
What's the general idea? Do we want more people in the pool that we might lure onto BTT with our fantastic banter or should we keep it strictly for those already here?

Should be strictly for BTT regulars IMO but the organizers can decide whatever they want.

Seeing as last season I beat the weekly average by a lot almost every single week only to find myself being far behind most in our league here I'd say the skill level is far higher here than on the outside, my point being if they want to donate funds to the prizepool - let them!

Maybe, but only if we don't get those YouTube and TikTok content creators whose full-time job is FPL and nothing else; if we can get those average Joes out there to become liquidity, it would be fair.

I stick to users I’ll see around after the season, not minding if they are just to throw in money and leave. Having the prize pool to be quite seizable is quite something though.

I wonder if this is where we can try and smack down some price changes profit for first couple of gameweeks? And then buy underperforming expensive players who are probably getting dropped? Is this how you play price game? Haha.

The game often starts with a rush as we saw last season where these very pricy and valued players rush to the scoreboard and try to maintain it till the momentum drops when their is an obvious lead from a side. Of course underperforming players would get dropped and possibly a price drop as well due to transfer outs until they pick up pace.

Yeah, I think that's what happened with me, if I recall some of my early price drops were Nkunku (sold at a loss) and Haaland after a few games but I held on before also letting go for a loss.

Only way to play price game this early is to hit bang on low owned cheap players. There will be that 4.5 -5,5 M midfielder that will get 3 attacking returns in first 2 GW. Good luck picking him.

The other way around goes way slower. For instance you are sure Haaland will do poorly and 70% of people have him. Very small percentage will sell him after GW1, almost everyone will give him at least 3GWs before even considering ditching him.

Yeah, that's going to be tough to hit as you'll suffer on losing points, while not necessarily hitting the right ones. So yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think I'll stay away from price game and just focus on using the chips properly. Now there are double chips and... thankfully no more Assman.

I am always by default for inclusion of more players. OF course I prefer if they are active here and part of our banter/side bets.... We already allowed some people that aren't that active here to join the pool in the past, some become good additions, some donated the money, some run away with money and there was one who even cheated.

I've done a couple of drafts already and I'm not any close to being satisfied with my team...

Gyokeres for 9m seem like a huge steal if only Arsenal starting fixture were great, he'd definitely be in from the jump for me, my defense looks very close to being certain and not issue with keepers too, great 5m and 4.5m choices even a couple of 4.0 GKs might be starting for their respective teams, but picking 5 midfield and 3 forwards under the remain budget is a nightmare.
