Who's throwing Palmer under the bus?

I have 2 players that I really want based on the starting 2 games - and getting rid of clearly unfit Palmer offers the way to get both and short-term switch to 343 instead of 352.

I would still keep Watkins though - but I simply can't sell him looking at his fixtures. Villa was terrible in both games though.

I did the same thing you are thinking about - without thinking about it! Dropped him when Chelsea game started and brought in kudus/semenyo, keeping watkins as it HAS to turn around at some point.. right?

I will give him a few more games yes. Semenyo is a guy I'd take as well, the other one is a bit of a gamble but I think a fantastic one at this point in the season.

Would also move Dewsbury-Hall to my bench and open a path to further improve defence/midfield. I think I'll go for it - and then Palmer will score 8 goals in the next 3 games.

Palmer spent less than 5 minutes with the team medical team, missed a full game, and there's still plenty of time to be fit before our next game. But Even if he's out for GW3, there's two weeks of international break to get him ready for GW4

Rogers to Kudus/Neto is common sense- both cheap and better attacking options than Rogers.

I am currently having a dilemma of a 6.5m for Amad, seriously I think playing as a right wing back doesn’t makes him to be effective and Amorim doesn’t looks like he will change that formation, so Amad for me doesn’t seem a better option for that price and I am looking to go in for Ismaila Sarr considering how I think he will be instrumental for Crystal palace this season most especially with Eze not longer there.

Did anyone pick Timber for Gameweek 2? I'm looking at our EPL table and I'm not quite sure anyone had the courage to put him in their team. Also, Gyökeres was superb against Leeds — hopefully, that gives him a good mentality boost for the weeks to come. I'm really considering adding him to my team, but the fixtures aren't exactly in Arsenal's favor.

Don't buy Amad, he's playing out from the deep with no guaranteed playing time, came off the bench in GW1, started and played for less then 60mins in GW2. Amorim 3 from the back favours only Mbeumo and Cunha right now. There's reason Amad has only 2.5% ownership right now.

If you're looking for 6.5m mids - Enzo, Sar,  Reijnders, Cherki, Grealish, Anderson and Dango are better.

Palmer is probably the least of my worries to be honest, and I'm easily getting him replaced but with who ? I have Salah already, Mbeumo and Cunha really looked like something that could be yielding weekly returns but it's going to remain a case of until then, Eze is more of an instant appeal both from his price stand point and the injury to Odegaard and Saka meaning he should be getting a shit amount of workload immediately, however the next fixture is Liverpool and all I need is an instant return from whichever player I'm going for, meanwhile Watkins and Mateta have been nothing but a big slap to the face for these first two weeks, great fixtures my foot

Depending on the grade, the maximum healing period for a serious groin injury is 3 weeks. If he doesn't play this weekend, he should be totally fit for GW4.

Saka, too, does not appear to be in bad shape; Arteta may risk it against Liverpool and bar him from international duty. Too many headaches and it's just  2 GWs.

Salah is far more dangerous and I was hoping that all these premiums together could outscore him, but instead I ended up playing Larry, Curly, and Moe.

The stat won't stay this high for long (performance-based), but anyone without Palmer is competing against 70.5% of the pool, which is suicidal; the only reason there hasn't been much impact yet is that he blanked in the last two GWs (missed one) . I'm still waiting for news on Palmer's injury, and all I'm seeing is speculation.

Selling these premiums is not the issue; it is bringing them back into the team.

Saka is expected to be out for 4 weeks due to hamstring injury. Bad news for people who had big hopes about him.    He actually played quite well until the injury moment and I was also planning to add him to my team later.

Palmer's future is still ambiguous and I also have him. Some say he didn't start vs West Ham just because of taking precaution. But we'd find out on the upcoming days. First a bad game and now this, not a very ideal start to the FPL for now.

You got a point a least, I’m looking at my team and all I see is 0 pointers all through, auto sub wouldn’t do no good to my team. Ended up with the worst team of all time. Either way, I’m still looking up to Salah and Ekitike to give me those points I’m longing for to light up this GW, this is so not the start I expected and it’s sadly what I’m getting. Don’t want to take too much of it and hope to adjust my team to what I would want of it by GW4.

It might be a long and tough season but as you have probably been here for the past few seasons you will know there are many good and bad weeks before the final game of the season. This is my first season participating and I am already enjoying it.

Well, that was a game to watch. 9 fouls from Liverpool in 25 minutes -- their first in the entire Prem League apparently. Newcastle's gameplan was to "get into" us and they really did, huh. Consolation assist for Salah, and Igeh padi, Wirtz/Palmer 0/0. I think we killed our prospects together.
