Yeah, of course it can happen - but the fact is that the benefits outweigh the risks in this case - at least for me.
Dubravka will be a starter, in a team that was quite defensive - so I will use him on occasions. Even if I plan to bench boost, I'll still never replace a 4mil GK - even if he's injured. I'll simply play without an additional GK.

For Guiu - he won't play much, yeah. The first replacement strikers I am thinking about are 6m+, so that's a huge 1,5 mil that he saves. I think I can survive with 2 rotating bench options instead of 3, and I will bench boost when Guiu gets into the team and has a decent fixture.

How did you hear about us? We are always happy to welcome new users.. just follow the instructions pinned in post 1. But if you pay the entry fee and return only a year later, regardless of your place in the ranking, 50 points will be deducted from you.

I want to say that this pool is for friends who are actively discussing. We are always happy to have new users, but I am skeptical of those who join only for the money.

Bench Boost (BB) is a chip that allows you to get points from those players who are sitting on the bench. This only happens when a player enters the field.

For example, it is unlikely that your goalkeeper Klinsky will play at least a minute, which means that you will earn 0 points on this player.

Also, you should not take players who play against a strong team on the bench. Your defenders from Crystal Palace will probably get a maximum of 1 or 2 points.

Go to FPL and select "defenders" sorting them by such a parameter as "Team selected by %". You will see the most popular of those who are worth 4 or 4.5.

Ok, so I made some changes, I hope they were for the best. My team looks like that right now. I also activated bench boost, however, I don't quite understand what that means and how exactly it would affect the team. I believe when the first week starts, I will just observe how it is going and make conclusions.

I have just 2 problems with your team. Otherwise great team.

There isn't a 7.5M slot attacker and I have a feeling it will be needed. Joao Pedro or Mateta will go ballistic sooner or later and that means 2 transfers for you.

Edit: and you have captain on Larsen. That is a mistake for sure  Or you believe he destroys City?

Thank you, Trofo, for the input. Larsen as captain is definitely a mistake — I’m not that confident he’ll have a great game against Man City  .

As for Dúbravka, I think he’ll start a few matches, and his price seems okay. Guiu, on the other hand, was the last player I selected because the budget was tight.

Mateta and João Pedro are really good options for FWD, but I don’t trust them to perform well in the first 3–4 matchweeks.

As i said before i see so many flaws in my team as always but in this particular year i dont see a clear path to follow, i mean for the first time we have so many options available an a super way range of combiantion to make the team.

Many people are looking at the point for CBI and that’s why I think there are opting for defenders Who contribute this to their team, it is easily more reason why the likes of Wan Bissaka and central Midfielders like Reijinder, Caicedo and Baleba making teams.

The only good thing about the deadline finally come is anxiety dissipates.

Nobody told me this isn't going to be that easy, I have changed my team more than 5 times. I just hope I got some good players to make me start strong. So I read defensive contributions is going to come into play this season but still the numbers are poor.

I don't understand why we aren't allowed to have more than 3 players from one club, that's not fair (but I might be wrong though). Just did some research myself and saw one of the biggest picks is João Pedro which just makes sense as he has started well at Chelsea, I'm a fan and I see him having more playing time since Jackson future isn't guaranteed at the club anymore.

So far, everything is looking interesting to me and I'm feeling like Pep already. Lets go...
