Its still very far away from happening and i think that wont be possible, because bitcoin is not tangible, so if bitcoin become global currency all of our transactions is going to become internet based, imagine the electricity that being consumed when this happened
Well, that's true,, the power that we will be consuming will not be a joke if it become a global currency.. But, if everyone would be into renewable and clean energy, perhaps power consumption will not be a problem.. |

Yes, it is sure, but acording to my views it is only in the virtual case. It will be a global currency only on digital world, within a few years everyone will adopt it and everyone will prefer bitcoin for any of their deal, transaction and payment.

BAH!! Bitcoin is a horrible currency. Are people actually spending their bitcoin? If you look at the goods section of this forum--and this is probably the most active place--the economy is very small and people seem very reluctant to spend their bitcoin. I don't know, I've said it before but I view bitcoin as a way to store value, gamble, and speculate. It's not good as a real currency.
It maybe horrible as a currency. But I`m sure it`ll be used for something else? if its not primary for currency conversion or something similar in the money services sector. |

bitcoin can be used in cellphones and laptops that use a battery that is not directly without using electricity. after all most people are using electricity and it's not a problem if bitcoin using existing technologies. Lighten up now green electricity will be present for the future is friendly to nature. |

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.
It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption. There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.
it is main currency in black markets now, so with time it should be global too, people uses more and more bitcoins now so price rises, also halving will rise price, and higher price means that more people will use it, and if more people will use it, it might become global currency soon |

I agree if you said it was only for the digital world, but for the world I do not, very many advantages of dollars, and I think this time people still consider bitcoin is just an expensive coin It's true and i am agrre with you both. Good thinking. The only problem would be the way to make it back to fiat. Example is an Irish and a Filipino would like to transact something online. They will now choose bitcoin as a means of exchange. Will both party exchange the bitcoin back to fiat once the transaction is done? Bank connections or exchange machines will be needed. |

yes slowly, but bitcoin adopts to world and soon it will really be global currency, it might and probably will take some time, like 20 years, but if bitcoin won't die till that time then it have really high chances to become global currency if people will use it like they do now, it is very popular now so i imagine how popular he will be bit later |

That is what we are foreseeing in the future, a good currency that can make transactions easier specially in the online world. There are so many online wallets there but there is really something better with bitcoin. |

I do not think it will ever be a global currency although its possible for sure without even a doubt, the fact is now that you can already see signs that it has a chance its growing very fast these days.
Plus its also getting more popular day by day due to the things that are happening.
Bitcoin will be more powerful currency in future, but expecting that everyone will be using it in future seems to be impossible or impractical as it will take a long time for people to know about bitcoin. Bitcoin will be a strong currency in the future, as you can see you see that the value of Bitcoin is getting more and more and that is nice for Bitcoin itself and for the future also. You also see that it is becoming also more popular and more used and that is also nice for Bitcoin. |

It is not in its way, it is already global. You just need internet and you can get some bitcoin buying it online. The problem is if internet connection can reach those far places or provinces. |

Actually bitcoin is still not a global currency because it is only used by a few people and it is only available online,if 1/4 of the people of the world use bitcoin then it can be a global currency. |

yeah we are still in the stage to make bitcoin as a popular currency. it took quite a long time dude until bitcoin could become popular and mainstream so that it is now still on the way to becamo global currency |

I am dubious about calling bitcoin a currency, since it is not supported by a bank or a national economy or reserves but it is becoming more widespread. |
