Not sure if you got my statement correctly. Of what value is a player to a team when that player misses most of the big games due to injuries? What would Messi have contributed to Argentina and their way to becoming World Champions when he missed 50% of the games in the last 8 years? Neymar is never really fit and if he is, he often gets minor or major injuries during games and can't finish them. He is also a highly emotional player who never had the quality to lead a team when it was not looking good.

All of this doesn't mean he didn't have impressive actions during games with his speedy dribblings and some amazing goals. But really, I am sure you would agree that there are not many players who lacked consistency so much like Neymar. In 6 years for PSG he played 112 games across all competitions. His score? The score is great. It has never really been a problem, but when he doesn't play all his stats are worthless in important games. Like you rightly said meeting bigger and tougher teams will real be the test for Argentina, so far they have been doing so well consistently winning and getting ahead to qualifying for the world cup, I think at this point there's almost no doubts they would most likely qualify to fly their flag at the world cup 2026, Messi has been a great boost to their morale.

It is a long shot. Indonesia, as per the rankings is currently the 28th strongest team in AFC. And there are 8.5 slots available from this confederation for 2026 FIFA World Cup. As of now, Japan, South Korea, Iran and Australia are the top teams in AFC, followed by other GCC nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and Oman. Iraq is also in the top-10 list. Indonesia got past the first round by defeating Brunei. In the second round, they need to compete against Iraq, Vietnam and Philippines, and all of them are ranked higher than them.
