I did, there's nothing anywhere.
Plus, I have in the past received email from bitmarket.eu without any problem..
Also, the one person I said had contacted me, told me they didn't receive any e-mail from bitmarket either Undecided

Well, maybe you had bad luck and made a trade in a short period of time when our mail server had problems. We switched to a premium mail service, because free one had daily limits (500 per day), which wasn't enough, as we now send 1000+ email messages a day (transaction notifications, verification requests, activation messages and so on).

So if you didn't receive something, just drop us a message and we'll send to you contact details to other party.

Hi,

i registered two days ago on bitmarket.eu. Since then, I haven't heard anything from bitmarket. I also wrote an email with a screenshot of my ebay account to help in the verification process. Still no reply. Did I do something wrong?

Hi, there is nothing wrong with your account if you didn't get reply. It's just we have so many verification email that it could take longer than claimed 48 hours in some cases. We already hired someone that will help us with this, but she will start on monday, so please bear with us a little more.

I got a scenario,

A puts 100 bitcoins in his account
A sells 100 bitcoins to B

B sends the money through bank transfer
A says he didnt receive any money so A doesnt release the 100 bitcoins

What now? (there is no way, apart from providing you my online banking account credentials, to verify the bank transfer - no (practical) way to tell if a bank statement has been forged or not)

That's why we verify every single user manually before they are allowed to trade on site. We don't allow anyone who has no positive ebay feedback on a long established account.

If you pay by bank transfer on ebay you always risk that the seller won't send you the item and there will be no way to prove this too. We can't work miracles, but are doing our best to stop any scammers from joining the market.

As for the verification delays, we now get 200-300 new users daily. Please understand that we have full time jobs and are doing this in our spare time. The site is totally free and we are already paying for the hosting server, a mass mail server, ssl certs and most importantly, spend a good few hours daily on answering mails and verification requests as soon as we can; not too mention adding new features to the site. We currently have more than 5200 users, yesterday it was 4700 and the day is still young.

Hopefully once we have this new person processing the verification applications it will get back on track. That's again another expenditure for us, so as my colleague said, donations are more than welcome.

Thanks for your trust and patience.

Mahkul i think your situation compared to buying something on ebay and paying via bank trasfer is a bit different.

You hold the goods (100 btc), because banking fees  within the european union either being non existent or at the very least very low i think it would be great if an option could be implemented where it works like that (for a fee of course, this process can be fully automated with very little work involved).

A puts 100 bitcoins in his account
A sells 100 bitcoins to B

B sends bitmarket.eu the money through bank transfer

bitmarket.eu confirms the payment and releases the 100 bitcoins to B and the money to A

Then there would be zero fraud.

If we did this we would have to register a company with holding accounts just like mtgox, which we don't want to do for now. It's not easy, because you have to justify large money transfers coming into your account. Also, one idea of our exchange is that you don't have to wait for the transfer to arrive in order to buy coins. We are adding a rating system so we will be able to only choose offers from reputable sellers/buyers.

Unfortunately we are forced to temporarily close registrations on BitMarket until further notice. We need to migrate to a new server and reprogram our engine in order to be able to uphold good performance of the site. Sorry about the inconvenience, please bear with us.

All current users can of course use the site without any limitations as they have been doing. We just cannot accept any new users for now.

definitely like the rating system idea. hoping to get approved i submitted a forum around 30hrs ago. I have a suggestion too. I think users should be able to select different payment methods for sales and purchases. say for sales id like to only use paypal and wire but for purchases i only want to use wire.

I have yet another suggestion becouse I just lost 5 EUR becouse of bitmarket!

Been exploring international wire transfer and SEPA these days and I put 15 BTC for sale not knowing people can buy just portions of my coins.
Everything ok but I don't want to sell portions of my bitcoins, I want to sell them as 1.
Reason for that is my bank charges me 5 EUR for receiving international wire or sepa.

Portion selling might be good for paypal but not for wire transfers.
if I am to sell my coins 1 at a time I'd be losing 75 EUR from that.

I understand where you are coming from, but If we did this, then if you put out an offer out there for selling 9 BTC and someone hadan offer for buing 9.01 they would never get matched, so we wouldn't be an exchange as such anymore, more like an advertising portal. Perhaps this is the way we should do this? If we get more requests we may consider changing this.

On a side note, I think your bank sucks badly. I would be leaving any bank that charges me for incoming transfers.
