well, we are still working hard :-) Unfortunately we cannot give any official statements now, but all security concepts are in place, all design and website layout is ready. We still need to handle some minor issues, but we made good progress last week. We hope to announce more information soon

Someone make a 100BTC bitbet or something where I can bet AGAINST this site becoming operational this year.
I DARE the operators to do so.

Are there any news about next steps with the reimbursmentplan? Or does everyone "choose" the 10% option?

In the last days I've received next part of funds from Bitalo, next payments will commence shortly. I have a bit of backlog with refunds recently, due to concentrating my work on shipping Bitalo in september, because that is critical for having sustainable income to be able to repay the remaining funds. All refunds will be processed normally though, no worries here. I will make a separate update on Bitmarket.eu when this is complete.

That sounds great!
Although I don't like waiting, waiting... but I think it is very important for the new site to do ALL what is possible to avoid problems like all other sites had and have!
So it is better to wait some more weeks - when we finally will have a perfect bitcoin site!
Do your best, bitalo-team!!!

Nice but I doubt it will come out in September...

We are well on schedule to come up with a beta in September. It will be invite only though (we need to test the site thoroughly before shipping it to everybody) , but if you sign up to the newsletter there's a chance that you will receive one.

Its going to be like bitcoin.de with additonal options p2p

The exchange system will be similar to bitcoin.de in a way that you are trading with the other people directly, you never send us fiat money - it goes straight to the other party. The main difference is of course that your Bitcoin funds which you send to the service are securely stored in multi-signature wallets, which means that even in a event of server compromise no funds can be stolen.

Web wallets get hacked all the time. Computer wallets get hacked all the time as well.
Solution? Hybrid P2SH wallets - safer than your online and offline wallets combined. Check it out, store and trade your Bitcoins with ease of mind!

Bitcoin.de goes actually into a completely different direction these days. They now have crippled themselves down to be an "exclusive" subcontractor of this Fidor Bank which will give them less flexibiliy and probably lead to a centralized service with all the disadvantages we know.

Instead, at Bitalo we will try to avoid the "multiple single transaction" problem that way that you would allow you to buy via a "internal service" that will keep the decentralized nature of the exchange, but the service combines the many many small individual offers of a few bitcoins into one bigger amount with a single price offer.

This means in practice that you can basically buy X bitcoins with one transaction to a special "seller" that does the work of doing all the tiny transactions with 100 individual bank transfers and fiddling around with 100 different users.

In that sense: More comfort, more security and: btw we plan lower fees as we have network effects from the integration of multiple services.

We will launch quite soon in September. With a beta first before we introduce more functionalities.

In principle we are open for everybody, but the non-Euro listings might be quite empty at the beginning

By the 30th of november 2013 the site will be fully operational. We will use the London Conference to share our vision and explain in-depth how we are accomplishing it to the wider public. But as Martin said, the side will launch officially by the end of september.

Update: Next payouts were sent (60.86944391 BTC). More details are available in the updates section on the Bitmarket.eu site.

@Galaxy07: I'm still processing this part of payouts. I believe yours was processed today. This is another 10% payout which, along with previous payout, should total 20% of your account balance value.
