Intersange has some Polish programmers, as well as Bitomat or bitmarket. Are Bitcoins already known in the Polish market for a longer time (i.e. media coverage started earlier) or is it just by chance?

Was about time to have an exchange accepting on of the most important reserve currencies the SWISS FRANC (I believe it's fifth in line after USD, EUR, JPY and GBP).

BTW I use this exchange from early June till now and I can only recommend it.

I haven't been getting responses from the bitmarket.eu admin email but I've been scammed maybe 2 times and I have a transaction sitting waiting for a cancel the buyer hasn't responded to me in days.

OK, it looks like it is our turn after Mt. Gox and CoinPal:

During the last few weeks we have had five cases where a user did a Paypal charge back on other users. In one case we were able to push on the thief and got him to return nearly all stolen money/coins (we got back ~1400€ out of stolen ~1500€).

The scenario is (nearly) always the same: since we have the verification process in place we usually know who these people are, but still if they claim that their Paypal account was hacked and it wasn't their fault, there is no way of telling whether they are lying or not. And of course, Paypal always judges in the buyer's favour regardless of what kind of proof our users present to them - Bitcoins are virtual and there is no way to win a chargeback case for the seller no matter what.

We were hoping that by verifying people we would be able to somehow get away with having Paypal as a payment option. We thought that since we knew who our users were they would not dare to scam others. Unfortunately we were wrong.

We realize that as for ~15,000 users of Bitmarket, only five cases (so far) of charge backs is a very good result. However, each scammer managed to scam ten or more people at a time, so this affected quite a few people.

Despite all this, we are not going to drop Paypal as a payment method; instead we are going to introduce more strict rules for using it. If it wasn't for the fact that M4v3r has been on holidays for the last few weeks and everything has been on my own head (not to count the girls answering your emails), we would have done this sooner.

Until we introduce these new rules for Paypal, we would like to officially state that WE DO NOT recommend using Paypal on our exchange and WE WILL NOT be responsible for any damage done to our users due to offering Paypal as a payment option. That said we will still do our best to help the victims trace and go after scammers.

So, from now on you are using Paypal on BitMarket you do it at your own risk. Thanks to all the scammers for that. Our FAQ has also been updated with this info.

Same problem a couple of times. The market desperately needs some rating system, which ofc doesn't ensure fucktards to dump the prices. A couple of guys in my neighbourhood with small powers complain about those no income intervals and can't earn enough for electricity bills ...

You should think about allowing MoneyPak to be accepted as a form of payment. Safer for the seller, and as a buyer I don't mind using them with experienced and reputable sellers.

to answer the question about paypal , i got a nice and great way for security

so far i can say (in the past 3 years i fully use paypal) is there a easy way for me to prevent chargebacks (maybe because i got a company paypal to )

use this link to verifie the paypal user and ONLY allow verified accounts

mostly a verified account doesnt scam or is sneaky behind your back with chargebacks (because a visa is linked to it and some more verifications are done in time )

howto check ?? well just change pay%40powerchaos.com to the paypal of the user you want to check and once you login to paypal you can see if it is verified or not


if you only allow verified paypal accounts to be used , then 95% of the scams are vanished

only problem , not every1 can verifie there paypal (as it need a creditcard to start with o.O )

then to explain how to protect from chargebacks (i just release this because i hate chargebacks)

first problem is what they select for chargeback , depending on there selection is it not even needed to provide a answer (like in most cases for me )
second problem is the account you have , i got a business account with a fair amount of trades daily , so they know what i do and they know that the fraud reason they provide is not a valid reason (depending on your business ofcourse)

in 3 years time i got only 2 sucesfull chargebacks
reasons ?
1) visa fraude ( paid with a stolen visa card , confirmed by paypal and probaly it was signed as stolen ? )
2) failt to provide a response on a item that needed a response to prevent chargeback (virtual goods does not have a delivery adress ...)

anyway
to get back on topic
only accept users who can verifie there paypal as a business/premium account and/or validated accounts by paypal
for the rest , disable the paypal button for the users who there paypal says invalid
and it solve a lot of the fraude problems
