Quite interesting indeed. I had noticed there are going to be many elections around the world, some happening here in the American continent, but I did not have a clear magnitude of the number of elections which are supposed to be held this year.

This afternoon I saw some news about the elections taking place in India and how those are the biggest elections which take place today on the planet. It caught my attention how those elections are done thanks to digital tools and technology, otherwise it would be pretty difficult to count all those votes and get a result in an approachable frame of time.
It is ironic, because in the case of the United States, many Republicans (specially those who are not sure about the legitimacy of the elections there) believe all the elections in USA are supposed to be carried out using paper and hand counting.
Imagine what would happen in India if one of the major parties would start to put claims like that one onto the table and they demanded the central government to hold those elections using paper and no electronic devices. It would be chaotic I think.

After the way polls behave in the midterm elections, predicting a massive red wave in favor of the Republican party, I must say I cannot longer realistically trust those polls when comes to predictions on elections, specially one like this one which hold so much political revelance both nationally and internationally.

Though, it indeed seems logical to me less people will end up voting for Donald Trump if he gets convicted of a crime in a criminal case, like the one which just started yesterday in New York. One thing is supporting a candidate who has been accused of a crime, but I believe a different thing would be to continue to support such candidate after being found guilty and expected to spend time in prison.
I am not expecting the hardcore MAGA people to stop their support even after such a case, however, the independent and non-MAGA Republicans could be the ones who decide this incoming election and they care.
