Most of the miners don't depend on LR being fully online.  As long as we keep the system up payments and leases function as normal.

I also did not see anything on this from emails or PM's or anything. I'm seeing changes in the Leaserig website, but not seeing announcements or explanations of what is going on. The help/support site didn't have info I was looking for when I did try to understand some of the changes a while back. I suggest that some thought be put into a better means of communicating with providers, because I do feel out of the loop.

The news page was developed and is being turned on as a method of communicating changes.

There was a delay due to the large chunks of legacy code being replaced.  

Every provider can login as a customer using their customer account and email.

Anyone who cannot use that method to login was PM'd on the forum notifying them that they would not be able to login.

Email from April 4th to all providers with a Contact email listed in their account:

Subject: IMPORTANT LeaseRig.net Provider Login Changes

Provider/Admin Login Changes

LeaseRig.net will be changing how you login to your admin/provider page!

Please login to your provider/admin account at http://leaserig.net/index.jsp?page=admin and verify you have a valid email address in the "Contact Email" box then click the "Update" button if you need to make changes.

ADDITIONAL STEP:

 You must also ensure you have or create a USER account on LeaseRig.net using the same email as your provider account!  Failure to do so will result in your inability to access the site after the next security update.

Any provider accounts with no email or without a matching customer account WILL LOSE ACCESS TO THE PROVIDER PAGE AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO REJOIN THE SITE INCLUDING VERIFICATION AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

I just had your accounts linked so you should use your customer account or recover your customer password to login.  It's under the email you listed in the contact section of your provider account.

If you had been sending out emails previously, like I had originally suggested, the spam filters would have been trained better. Or, if you had used the same routine you use to send the 'Rig Hired' messages, they would have such a high margin of 'read' that they'd never be marked as spam.

You're missing the point.  You're doing all these changes. OK, that's cool, do changes. But -tell us- first. We've established, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that your method of communicating changes leaves room for improvement.  How about you work on that?  When us, the people that are providing the service that you facilitate, are saying 'really, we want better notifications of what's going on', why are you calling that 'propaganda'?  That's really insulting.

I'm not entirely happy with LR communication either but I have to agree with miaviator on this one. The damn thing was IN BIG BOLD RED LETTERS ON THE FRONT PAGE for a long time. It was announced in this thread. It was e-mailed. Are you seriously blaming gmail's false positive on Leaserig? It's your responsibility to use a mail system that's not completely brain dead.
