i found that my miner is mining after joining leaserig @
stratum+tcp://east01.us.trademybit.com:4440 trader.1
this is not me, someone hacked into my account?
ok it seems to be account of the old renter, so leaserig did not switch back to my own pool? how should it work, has that even happened to you?

Yeah, that happens. Lately I've had the reverse happen too (your own pools keep overwriting renters pools during a lease). I hope they can nail both problems down soon, because it's very stressful for us and customers.

wow, I was mining for a whole on renters pools, and they were not paying. it seems that pool.conf file gets overwritten by renters pools and how would it even change them back to default, when the file has been already overwritten? must I set default pools configuration in betarigs under my rigs configuration? or how does it work exactly?

Yes, you do need to set your own default pools on the website, just please do it on Leaserig.net, not on Betarigs.

In regard to the pools not being changed back over. Technically, we only see that issue when a rig goes offline and the lease is "auto-cancelled". It's definitely something to do with the miner being offline when the call is made to change the pools back. We usually see the issue with the customer pools being overwritten by provider pools on rigs that have CGWatcher running in the background. I'm definitely working on fixing those issues currently.

There was talk a while back about auto exchange for the LTC and DOGE can we get an update on this? I wouldn't mind us being forced into accepting them if there was an auto exchange as much. But for now if I rent for anything less then 12 hours the amount to exchange is low so I leave it sit who knows what will be the difference from when I get it and exchange it.

Yes, and more than just a little bit. (Somebody was trying to figure out the current maximum lease time in hours.) We're up to somewhere between 550-600 hours without miaviator blowing his fuse! Long term leases will be available VERY soon.

Not sure if everyone noticed yet, but providers have the option to accept one or the other now (LTC OR DOGE). I can't imagine Auto-Exchange will be very difficult to implement, but it's still at least another week or two out (maybe even three). We're spread pretty thin right now with all of the other: updates, issues, threats, tickets, scams, and fires.

Definitely still on the roadmap. Just a question of how long I can handle miaviators' anti-doge tirades before I put everything else on hold to knock it out!

Asked for that a while back - would also like BC to be accepted You do realize that the rigs accepting said shitcoins will be priced so high that it will negate any benefit you could possibly have by paying with them?

The pricing is all done in BTC. So there is no impact to customer or rig operator that I can see. At least, things have been seamless for me with LTC and DOGE. I just trust that I'm getting a fair rate when I'm paid out in DOGE. Besides, calling DARK a ****coin at this point is a bit off the deep end.

Don't worry, I'm equally fair to all coins that have no economy to speak of behind them and exist solely for the enrichment of a few ... um... is "enterprising individual" an acceptable PC term for a "scammer"? Anyway, more risk = higher prices. Any non-charitable rig provider would have to price their rigs higher if they choose to accept a volatile coin, or lose money. So you're saying that there would be enough charitable providers to make all sorts of weird coins (see I resisted calling them shitcoins this time) viable methods of payment. I'm saying this could only work if LeaseRig implemented some kind of on-the-spot conversion into BTC, like the auto-exchange feature xmk3 mentioned, but it would have to be pretty much instantaneous to provide real price protection.

Keep the "conversation" going on this. I think the community will develop the best method.
We also have to think about ways to display all the payment types and coin icons.
Something like limiting providers to 2 currencies (and btc) per rig?
Auto exchange would also need to be bi-directional so providers can choose which currencies to accept and which currencies to auto-exchange to which other currencies.
Then all of the account pages would have to list all of the wallets or have a dynamic sub-menu showing all currencies customers & providers have on the site.

I don't think there needs to be a limit on number of coins to be accepted, perhaps just a limit on how many icons can be displayed on the front page if you want to keep showing those icons. A renter should have the ability to filter the rigs by coins accepted, it could even be some kind of a global account preference: "Only show rigs that accept any of the following: BTC, LTC, ...".
