Im still waiting for the good news that will come from haaland regarding his injury. Haaland has always become the best one as a striker.

If I'm not mistaken, Haaland will return in February but I don't know exactly what date and hopefully before the round of 16 matches start he will be fit again. As a monster, Haaland is always hungry and wants to keep scoring goals, especially now that he is at the top of the top scorer list with 5 goals so far. Haaland competes with Griezzman and Morata from Atletico who have the same goals in the top scorer list.

Haaland is definitely very bored at the moment and I don't think he should rush because the most important thing is to recover from the injury first. I understand that as a young player he always wants more and that is actually very good for his mentality in Europe's biggest competition. I'm curious how many goals he will score until the Champions League competition ends and maybe I will predict around 10 more goals.

Theoretically, in the City - Copenhagen game you can score 5-6 goals in one game (if you don’t take into account the envious Pep who will prevent Haaland by making a substitution), I’m more interested in how many goals he will score during his career in the Champions League. He's currently on a schedule that puts him ahead of Ronaldo. Unfortunately, due to the change in the format of the competition, these will be slightly different conditions, but it will still be possible to compare. But as we know, it is very difficult to maintain super-performance throughout your entire career, so maybe with age he will score fewer goals.

Bellingham, will he still have my eyes for the other two?

Inter Milan perhaps in the previous season could reach the final but it looks like this season will have a different achievement because Bayern Munich may be more worthy of replacing Inter's position because in depth Inter does not have a strong performance even though they have more experience but Bayern Munich is far superior in terms of player performance.

The UEFA Champions League is not for limited teams, and I expect an outstanding squad to win games with simplicity. We have elite teams that have a 50% chance of claiming the UCL title.

Manchester City is the favorite to win their UEFA Champions League last 16 matches with Copenhagen when they meet next month. I do not see Manchester City using aggregate to qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League because they will win against Copenhagen at home and away.

Yep, city will be winning the game home and away. There's no doubt to think it will happen unless pep will be doing another experiment like a season. Pep was a typical of coach who was always identifying its opponent before try to perform against it.
Copenhagen was not a club that needs to feel worry about. It's caused by this club was so weak and it's so crazy to think manchester city is going to lose agains this garbage club. Copenhagen needs to feel worry about that coz the club can perform so badly.

Inter Milan are one of my favorite clubs, they've had an impressive run in Serie A, in the Champions League they didn't disappoint during the group stage, although in the end they fell to Real Sociedad but they only lost out on goal productivity. Last season they also made it to the final, even though last season they weren't as good as they have been this season.
They are between Manchester City and Real Madrid in my opinion. In the round of 16 they will face Atletico Madrid, it will be the first challenge for them. But when looking at Atletico Madrid's performance which still hasn't found good consistency, they have a chance to eliminate Atletico Madrid early and advance to the next round.
The Serie A club has recently become a club to consider, after in the last few seasons they have always struggled.

So, you forget about intermilan reached final last season. Is not intermilan deserving to be a part of the strongest contenders to win the UCL this season? it's leading serie a and intermilan is also having perfect defense and attack. I think that might be a part of teams who have biggest chance to win the UCL this season. It was even stronger compared to the bayern munich and im not doubting it. It's quite strange to see that how people forgot if there was intermilan who is always climbing up right now.

It likes all of concentrations were focusing on to the manchester city and real madrid. That is why people were always calling up real madrid and city to win UCL this season. Listen to me if intermilan is still comparable to the madrid and city at this time.
It was also having on fire striker who is also top scorer this season and he is lautaro martinez. It is really strange to see that if you were not the only one but so numerous members here were forgetting intermilan.

Intermilan deserved to be treated like city and madrid coz it's one of strongest team last season. Simeone is just crazily improving the club to be even better by replacing some defenders and goal keeper + add more strikers in.

But this begs an important question: does PSG need talented players or does PSG need players who are fully ready to rumble with the best of the best in the Champions League? They have tried different approaches over the years now to finally lift the Champions League trophy, but maybe building a young team that is hungry for titles would be a superior way to give their hope another shot. They did all kinds of stuff now and nothing worked till perfection. But now they are running out of time because once Mbappe leaves, the club isn't as great anymore for other players as well.

One thing I will tell you is that PSG has in the past got their buying decisions very wrong. They brought in players that weren’t needed for big check books every week. The likes of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe cannot be in a team that had such a below average midfield. The pivotal role in a team set up is the midfield. You must have that Defensive midfielder that disconnects counter attacks or intercept well, have a better box to box midfielder and lastly what they lacked importantly was an attacking midfielder. With Messi they had the most creative football in world football but still they couldn’t excel because the proper defensive midfielder wasn’t on the team. Imagine the likes of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar loosing a ball, we all know they wouldn’t track back like others and without a defensive anchor then the defense becomes vulnerable.

An example is when Madrid gather a lot of galaticos like the kaka, Özil, Ronaldo, Benzema, Raul and the rest during Mourinho’s first season with them, this team were expected to win the Champions League and everything but they couldn’t because they couldn’t play together. It was when Ancelloti arrived and this star players  have reduced that they actually started conquering the world and they won a treble of this competition. Same thing would be what should be happening to PSG if they want to conquer Europe. They should go for young players and build a team and don’t force players like Mbappe to remain in the team but rather palyers that wants to play for the badge. Right now though I don’t see them winning the champion league but with the few signings that Luiz Enrique has done then i see them moving in the right direction

Overall I really like the picture you presented, and in reality there are many weak points for PSG in building a squad capable of winning the Champions League. Bringing together star-label players in one lineup cannot offer a higher chance of winning the trophy. Instead of winning a trophy, in essence they are like super models walking on the catwalk, what they are offering is a jersey. For the club income, the existence of these star players is indeed very profitable in terms of income, but it would be better to balance it with a commensurate end goal, namely winning the Champions League trophy, something that to this day is still a dream before sleeping at night. It's true that PSG must start with player transfers, promoting young players, and releasing players who don't contribute much to their club, as well as releasing players who ask to leave.

I think that even though PSG plays in Ligue 1 which offers them easier competition, this is not an excuse for failing to compete with other league representatives who come from more competitive leagues. I am sure that if PSG officials and management manage the club well, without prioritizing image and popularity, then they will be able to achieve their goals. As an example that may be very relevant to the PSG case, We know that Bayern Munchen comes from the Bundesliga, which is still competitively inferior to Serie A and La Liga and the Premier League, but Bayern can hold the status of the favorite team every season. I think PSG needs to conduct itself like Bayern, where in the end they have a culture based on team unity, and not just individuals.

Many believe that one way for PSG to realize its dream of winning the Champions League title is to build a solid foundation, with its academy players, once again not with star players who only play for money and fame. PSG must change its culture for the better, when PSG sends offers to their target players, what is shown should be one step closer to winning a trophy, not big salaries and luxurious facilities. I think there is no instant way to build success, everything requires a process, and under the leadership of Luis Enrique it looks like PSG is moving in that direction, I hope so.

I agree with you. Munich is still considered one of the strongest teams in the Champions League this season. But I see they have no chance of becoming champions. The champion candidates in my opinion are Real Madrid and City. I don't know how the next round will be drawn whether City and Madrid will meet in the final or will meet in the next round because I don't know how this knockout system works. What is clear is that I think these two teams are the favorites to win the Champions League title this season.

Yes, there are indeed many elite clubs that have many opportunities to qualify and it is not surprising to hope that these two clubs will win the title in this Champions League.
I only hope that in the semi-finals Manchester City will face Inter and Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich.

Manchester city is definitely not getting pass the round of sixteen by aggregate because Copenhagen isn't a team that will make Manchester city have tough Time playing them, although since it's the UCL, Copenhagen may want to put up strong resistance so as to get Manchester city working really hard to deserve a win .

Copenhagen isn't a very good team and even in the champions league they didn't perform too well but we're somehow lucky to have gotten pass the group stage because their performance wasn't such that will be considered excellent or brilliant enough to have gotten them pass the group stage so I don't see them been able to triumph over Manchester city rather they will just try to draw to be able to create a possible advantage for them but then if the lose once and draw the other time they are still going to be knocked out moreover Manchester city is now even stronger with the return of KDB and others in anticipation most definitely it's the end of the UCL journey for Copenhagen.

We can't say much at this point but I'm pretty sure that City won't win it again. They need 1 bad game in knockout stage and they will be out. Going 2years without bad game it's really hard and City does not have legacy of Real M to do that.

Obviously don't know what to say at right now, but we can follow the progress as this season is only coming in a few months. Currently, all the teams seem to be trying to build up their team's strength by bringing in several new players and selling some of the old ones.

Manchester City is my favorite next season for the Champions League, if OP makes the pool then I will choose Manchester City again.

I'm on the board for City not winning back 2 back UCL as this is very hard to achieve and no matter how strong your team is , UCL is a very special competition where personally I saw so many surprises in watching this competition for over 20 years. However, with a bit of luck and Pep's brilliant ideas , City can produce a big surprise and be the second team who goes back 2 back UCL after Real.

I agree with you. Munich is still considered one of the strongest teams in the Champions League this season. But I see they have no chance of becoming champions. The champion candidates in my opinion are Real Madrid and City. If for example Bayern Munich makes it to the final match then ya, atleast Bayern Munich will also still have a chance to win the trophy Champions League this season. I think what we have seen in the Champions League group consisting of PSG, Dortmund, Milan and Newcastle is that we overestimated the average performance level of that group. Everyone called it the group of death and I did it, too. But now it can be seen that all of the teams aren't as strong as we thought they are. Newcastle is falling behind in the Premier League, Dortmund is falling behind in the Bundesliga and AC Milan far behind the best teams in Serie A. PSG has no competition and that is the only reason why they dominate Ligue 1.

But I agree with you that PSG will now run into problems. Perhaps against Real Sociedad already, but I am sure if they can win this round, depending on who their opponent is most likely the quarterfinals will be the end of the Champions League season for them.

In the group phase, of course PSG had to face clubs from England and Germany, this was certainly not something that was easy for them to miss. So PSG qualified for the round of 16 only by the difference in the number of goals with AC Milan. From this aspect, PSG can certainly gain a lot of experience in previous matches. Real Sociedad certainly poses a challenge in itself because they were unbeaten in the group phase. But for PSG to qualify for the last 8 is something easy. PSG can certainly beat Real Sociedad, but they have to win by a lot of goals at home. Because beating a Spanish league club when playing away is not easy.

The performance of a team depend on the players. Luis Enrique will enable his team to become the top top clubs representing France clubs in UCL. PSG will be well prepared to play Real Sociedad in the UCL this season; neither of these clubs will be taking the title lightly because it is a top trophy for all clubs. Real Sociedad are putting all of their attention and energy on UCL matches, and they will face Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16. A difficult match for them, however we should not ignore any average team in UCL because they have amazing ability to win games.

Every team has a different way of building their team and indeed PSG chose the wrong path because they didn't want to go through the process and rely on the power of money they have to buy star players and hope they will achieve achievements on the European stage, that's the wrong thing and Even Mancheter City used to be like that before they finally went through such a long process that it was only last season that they managed to become CUL champions.
Likewise with PSG at the moment, especially because in the French League there are no fierce competitors so PSG cannot measure its strength.

Obviously it will be quite difficult for PSG to measure its strength if its competitors are still quite weak like now, because in the French League PSG can still win with second-tier players and even without star players. But in the UCL, everything must be truly complete for a team that wants to become champions there, from a great coach to truly talented players. And cooperation between players is also really needed because PSG has also proven itself that having several star players does not guarantee success in the UCL.

I don't think it's right to talk about PSG and their playing style in the Champions League and the French League at the same time because we know PSG is the team that usually has a high chance of winning the French League because they are not many teams to start racing this PSG but in the Champions League everything is different for them and they will need to start the competition with teams like Real Madrid with much better player they have.
