Traditionally, in the World Cup England team has a habit of losing at least one game against the weaker side so it's only fair if it comes against Afghanistan . After all in the last edition, Morgan thrashed the Afghans brutally so these guys do need closure. 
Let's see if the Afghans can handle the pressure, their skipper is quite bad with the tactics so big question mark.

England is 117/5, and they need another 168 runs to win the match. Harry Brook looks in good touch, and so does Rashid Khan. So far so good for Afghanistan; all the bowling changes worked for them. England batters are now under pressure. Afghanistan will try to put more pressure on both ends.

The required run rate increasing in every overs and England batters are batting under pressure right now. Facing a strong bowling lineup is not an easy job for tailenders. Harry Brook is the one who has to finish the innings for England. He should stay in the crease no matter what other batters do. But as pressure increases because of the run rate, he will be forced to play big shots which is risky against Afghan bowlers. But, England does not have a 2nd option at this moment. Sometimes upsets get interesting, but I am supporting England here. I hope they will manage to chase this total.

I am still not 100% sure. Afghanistan has a reputation of losing matches which they should have won otherwise. Brook is trying to build a partnership with Woakes. If these two can stay there for another 10 overs or so, then we will see Afghan bowlers making mistakes by themselves. That said, so far the Afghan spinners have been exceptional. Nabi is having figures of 6-0-16-2, while Rashid has returned 7-1-23-1. The two seamers (Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naveen-ul-Haq) have backed them up as much as they could.

After the end of 31st over now I can say that yes the first big upset is going to happen today. Brooks is still on the field but the required run rate is going up after every ball. England wanted to copy the strategy that India had put in place yesterday, they never thought that Afghanis would bowl way above average. Not much to say as it proves that you need to do your homework before copying someone else strategy. They only wanted to accomplish a good run rate in order to rank better on the point table. At the moment it is possible that they might go below the current standing on the point table if they lose the match.

Maybe you didn't watch the whole game, but I think Afghanistan's batting performance was very good today, and they got good runs. Afghanistan today scored 284 runs for the loss of all wickets, which was really interesting and at the moment it looks like Afghanistan is on the verge of winning. England batted very poorly as they lost wicket after wicket and subsequently England batted under pressure. England team is very disappointed with back-to-back wickets falling, and they might lose the match by a huge margin against Afghanistan today. But England as a strong team we all know that they will win, but unfortunately the game against Afghanistan today is full of attack. Afghanistan's bowling was superb as Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up three wickets for which England were under the most pressure. At the moment England are 173 runs and 8 wickets down, England are under enough pressure, and it looks like they will be all out soon. England still has a long way to go to meet the target of giving Afghanistan, which I think will not be possible, and I predict that England will lose today's match against Afghanistan.

The Ikram-Rashid duo is batting very responsibly. After losing 6 wickets for 190 runs, Afghanistan mustered 231 runs at the end of 43 overs. Ikram remains unbeaten with 43 runs and Rashid Khan with 22 runs. Afghanistan will bat 7 more overs. If these two batsmen have to collect 60 runs in these 7 overs, it will be a good enough target. Ikram and Rashid are good enough batsmen. And they are also capable of aggressive batting. Let's see if they manage to score 60+ runs in the last 7 overs

First of all, Ben Stokes is not even included in the playing XI. As far as I know, he is suffering from a hip injury and is unlikely to be fit for the next 2-3 matches. So the option of replacing Jos Buttler with Stokes is not possible. England doesn't look like they are in great form at the moment. In the first match, they suffered a massive defeat against New Zealand. Their only win till now came against the weak Bangladeshi side. Still there are 6 matches in the group phase remaining for them, but I think they are already out of the knockout phase.
