The average score for the second innings on this pitch was probably around 200. And if England set a target of more than 250 in this match, they would have won easily. The 2023 World Cup is just like the game they played in the Asia Cup final. Yesterday's match was really a very disappointing batting by the Sri Lankan batsmen. Sri Lanka's bowling line and against a very good India, Sri Lankans have forgotten to bowl well.  After winning the Asia Cup, the Indian team seems to be in a happy mood. The confidence they played in the Asia Cup has continued in the World Cup as well. India has held the 2023 World Cup in their own country, they will definitely want to win this World Cup. The team that India has prepared is very strong. We who are cricket fans think that India can be the champion of the 2023 World Cup after watching their game.

SL all out for 55 and this win confirms the participation of India in semis. Should have given one more over to Shami instead of Jadeja, he could have added that last wicket to his account as well.

What a shamefull performance from the Sri Lanka team.  Even we will know that India is the  most favourite team in this  ICC men's world cup 2023  I wasn't thought that Sri Lanka will lose this  maths with this kind of big margin. Today Sri Lankan bowlers batted better than their batsmens. Anyway, India did their work as they are continuously doing in this series.

The right-hand seamer also went on to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav, ending with 5-80, the most expensive five-for by a quick in ODIs. It was also India’s fifth-highest score in the World Cup, with the highest being 413-5 against Bermuda in 2007 and the highest team score in the tournament without a player making a hundred in the innings.

Srilanka has good bowlers but most of them are not playing due to injuries. Chameera was bowling well when he started but with the drop catch, he again injured his right shoulder, he even took a wicket and had 2 maiden overs. Injuries are the main reason why the Srilankan team has been struggling in the World Cup.

Conceded 80 runs from 10 overs. As I have mentioned in some of my previous posts, the absence of Wanindu Hasaranga and poor form from Matheesha Pathirana have been the reasons for below par performance by Sri Lanka so far in this tournament. Other spinners such as Maheesh Theekshana, Dushan Hemantha and Dunith Wellalage were unable to take wickets regularly.

Madushanka did well to take 5 wickets, but he was also on the expensive side. Chameera's first spell was impressive; that catch was a big miss. He bowled good inswingers early on to Virat as well. Unlucky for the Indian batters, they could not score a hundred. I was hoping that at least Virat should have scored a hundred and equalled Sachin's record.
