Pumped up because of this winning streak and dominating run but at the same time nervous as well for knockouts.

Happened in 2015, then 2019. Indians were looking in red hot form in the group matches and then came knockouts with 30 minutes of bad cricket. It would be heartbreaking if history repeats itself. This Indian side deserves the ICC trophy because they already missed 2 WTC trophies despite making it into the finals.

Even in bowling where India was once weak and dependent on Bhumrah they now have 3 star bowlers and of course 2 spinners. Even Bhumrah & Shami can bat when the team needs them. Every batter is batting like they never had batted before. The top 3 batters are in splendid form and two them are listed on the top 5 run getters in the World Cup. The morale of the Indian team is very high and they are taking every single match seriously.

I was thinking yesterday that India might rest a few players and try those on the bench. But, I was wrong they didn't even bother to experiment yesterday. The next match will be against South Africa. It would a big game for the Indian bowlers as the top 4 batters of the South African side are in good form. How well Indian bowlers can perform against the powerful batting will be facinating to see.

Every player in the Indian team is now in form. Even before the World Cup we saw erratic performances from Indian batsmen. Also Bumrah was not in form. But every Indian player has been playing very well since the first match of the World Cup. Everyone is contributing to the overall performance of the team. We haven't seen a big innings from Shubman Gill in the last few matches. But after Rohit Sharma got out in the first over in yesterday's match, Shubman Gill batted very responsibly. He has been able to bat very well when the team needed it. Also the bowling of Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami was excellent. If every player in the team continues to perform well from his position, India looks set to become world champions without losing a single match.

Well.. I agree. If the opponents are either South Africa or Australia, then it will get interesting. Proteas are in supreme form at the moment, while Australians are known to perform well during the knockout phase. If India loses the toss then it will immediately put them in backfoot during matches against these teams. Also, it is important not to get carried away after the massive 302 run win against Sri Lanka. Anyway, I just hope that the 12-year old jinx is finally broken. It has been a wait that has stretched for more than a decade.

Really pathetic. They perform like this, and then complain that the full member nations are not giving them enough chances. Three batsmen got good starts during today's match (Max O'Dowd, Colin Ackermann and Sybrand Engelbrecht) and all of them got needlessly run-out. The way vd Merwe got Engelbrecht run out was shocking. The ball directly went to the fielder and still he sprinted for a run, and in the end got the set batsman out. And with today's defeat, Netherlands's chances of qualifying for Champions trophy in 2025 will vanish to thin air.

Afghanistan's success will be a landmark for cricket.  England beat the likes of Sri Lanka and Pakistan to set a World Cup record. Last time champions England have won only one match in this World Cup while Afghanistan have won three matches except today's match. This record is really commendable in Afghanistan cricket.

They've been bowling well and showing some great fielding in this tournament. They really deserve a spot in the semi-finals.

Netherlands' batting order was not strong. Moreover, all the three batsmen of the top order of the Netherlands were run out. Netherlands' top order played like complete idiots. They could have given Netherlands a target of more than 250 batting with some responsibility. Netherlands has given a target of only 180 runs. And I don't think they have a chance of winning by giving such a low target. Because Afghanistan's batsmen have been playing quite well in the last few matches. Also the bowlers of Netherlands are not experienced enough.
After 10 overs of powerplay, Afghanistan collected 55 runs. They lost only one wicket. Ibrahim Zadran scored 20 runs off 33 balls and Rahmat Shah remained unbeaten on 19 runs off 16 balls.

This game between the two under dogs of this World Cup might end up being one of a closed game. Under the current circumstances Afghanistan is looking better than the Netherlands team. As usual Afghanistan is good in chasing as they have proven themselves in those games where they won against big teams.

I felt like there was something wrong with Sri Lanka. Especially after watching how they collapsed against India in the Asia Cup Final and yet again in the World Cup. Back-to-back collapse against India. Didn't they research Indian bowlers when they collapsed in the Asia Cup Final? Netigens smelling fixing in the last match. This could be a part of criticism but not impossible.
Afghanistan will try to improve their run rate today. They are chasing a low total and I guess it's a perfect opportunity for them. This is Afghanistan's best World Cup so far. Good luck to them.

Afghanistan's next two matches are against South Africa and Australia so for sure the next two matches will be very tough for South Africa and for these two matches I am not considering Afghanistan as semi-finalists. If Afghanistan can pull off a disaster in one of the two matches against Australia or South Africa and if the stats work in their favour, Afghanistan will qualify for the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup for the first time. 
India have already qualified for the semi-finals and I am considering Australia and South Africa as the second and third teams, but we have a lot to think about for the fourth position. New Zealand Pakistan and Afghanistan as the fourth team are likely to qualify for the semi-final but we will have to wait till the last match to see the fourth semi-finalist team.

Australia is having problems with Michael Marsh gone home with family issues and Maxwell is also injured suddenly things are not ideal, and they are having matches against teams like England and Afghanistan which can end their chances for the last four even currently they are strong candidates for this spot

If the Netherlands lose to Afghanistan, Afghanistan's chances of going to the semi-finals will go up. The Netherlands batsmen did not struggle and work hard in this match. This match is as important for Afghanistan as it is for the Netherlands. So much target has been given to Afghanistan which they can fulfill very easily. If the Dutch batsmen had struggled and worked hard in this match, it would hardly have been difficult for Afghanistan.If the Netherlands lose to Afghanistan, they will be out of the ICC World Cup. Due to which Netherlands are trying their best to win the match.

Afghanistan easily wins the game, responsible batting from them, I must say. From Asian teams, Afghanistan has most wins in this world cup next to India.

Pakistan must win tomorrow to keep their hopes alive, and will replace Afghanistan in standing cause their NRR is better, also Williamson will return tomorrow and Matt Henry is out and Kyle Jamieson is replacement, more trouble for Pak.
