Also, this match should've been canceled. At this point of time, North India barring Dharamshala doesn't deserve any single international match and surely not the Delhi aka gas chamber.

It is that time of the year when crop burning starts. Nothing can be done unless the farmers and the local government comes out with a solution. The CM of Delhi has made several false promises under his rule and the people votes him for freebies. It is not just Delhi, the complete North India has become a gas chamber. I don't think BCCI would be able to do anything now. They have already created a schedule and they would be following it. Even if the matches are held in region where the pollution is out of control.

Agreed that BCCI can't do anything now but they should have used their brain before scheduling. Sri Lanka scored 326 runs against South Africa on this pitch. So it must be admitted that the performance of Bangladeshi bowlers was very good in this match. Along with the bowlers, the batsmen have also been able to perform their duties properly. After Sakib and Shanto's big innings, it became easy for the Bangladeshi batsmen to reach the target. The Bangladesh team reached the goal of victory quite easily today. And after the win in today's match, Bangladesh are now seventh in the points table.

LOL.. impressed whom? What he did was against the spirit of cricket. Angelo Matthews requested him not to go for the appeal, as he had issues with his helmet and had to search for a spare one. Even the umpires asked Shakib twice not to go with the appeal. But he still went ahead. It was a match which would have been won by Bangladesh without all this drama. But now it will be remembered as a stolen match, which was won through unfair means. This is not something that was expected from an experienced cricketer such as Shakib al Hasan.

Junior Tamim scored fifty in only one match against India out of 8 matches in this World Cup tournament and he was a flop in all the matches. Before the toss against Sri Lanka I thought maybe Nazmul Hossain Shanta and Liton Das would open and Junior Tamim might not be included in today's XI but he got another chance in the XI and he failed to prove himself again. Junior Tamim is a stylish cricketer and has enough shots but needs more experience. Little can be expected from junior Tamim before he can contribute well to the team when he matures a bit more. Bangladesh won this match by three wickets against Sri Lanka and by winning this match Bangladesh keep their hopes of playing Champions Trophy alive. Although there was a lot of drama in this match against Sri Lanka, still Bangladesh won this match by ending this drama.

The brilliant pairing of Shanto and Shakib helped Bangladesh win. Like the previous matches, Bangladesh's two openers failed today. Apart from Tamim, Bangladesh added youngster Tanzid Tamim to their squad. But Bangladesh's opener failed completely in the World Cup. Bangladesh has broken the opening pair very quickly in every match. But Shanto and Shakib's innings was very important. After Shanto scored 90 runs and Sakib got out with 82 runs, the match was completely under the control of Bangladesh. Even then, the performance of Bangladesh's middle order batsmen was poor. Mushfiqur and Miraj should have batted more responsibly. However, after a win in this match, Bangladesh still have a chance of being in the top 8 of the points table. Waiting to see if the team can play well against Australia.

Junior Tamim scored fifty in only one match against India out of 8 matches in this World Cup tournament and he was a flop in all the matches. Before the toss against Sri Lanka I thought maybe Nazmul Hossain Shanta and Liton Das would open and Junior Tamim might not be included in today's XI but he got another chance in the XI and he failed to prove himself again. Junior Tamim is a stylish cricketer and has enough shots but needs more experience. Little can be expected from junior Tamim before he can contribute well to the team when he matures a bit more. Bangladesh won this match by three wickets against Sri Lanka and by winning this match Bangladesh keep their hopes of playing Champions Trophy alive. Although there was a lot of drama in this match against Sri Lanka, still Bangladesh won this match by ending this drama.

Bangladesh management should not keep Tamim in the squad. I say this because Tamim is not a Test batsman. Young batsman Tamim is not experienced enough. The Bangladesh team needed experienced batsmen on a big platform like the World Cup. However, Bangladesh does not have any opener who is capable of consistently playing well. Anamul Haque, Saumya Sarker and Imrul all have the same situation. We have not seen any opener consistently play well. And the main reason for Bangladesh's poor performance in this World Cup is the poor batting of their top order players. If the top order could have done well, maybe Bangladesh could have won 2/1 more matches.

I just watched highlights of Ban and SL, it was quite interesting (highlights being interesting is quite rare, not even Pak vs SA highlights were this interesting), couple early catch misfields helped Bangladesh win, I would say.

Overall performance of Bangladesh yesterday was good especially Taskin Ahmed bowled brilliantly despite not getting a wicket and scored 39 runs in just 10 overs in which case there was a maiden over. Moreover, Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan returned to their performances after a long time and scored 90 and 82 runs respectively. After all yesterday's match was not an option for Bangladesh to win that's why everyone tried to give their best and managed to win in the end.

It was a match between two of the weakest teams in this tournament and in the end one of them won after a lot of drama. But that is not going to help either of these teams. There is still a good chance that both these teams may fail to qualify for the Champions trophy in 2025. Anyway, in case of Bangladesh, the performance was not that surprising. Ever since they received the test status in 1999, they have been performing like this only. Sri Lanka's case is different. They have undergone a recent disintegration.
