I can understand if De Zerbi could be destroyed by AS Roma.
The quality of his squad isn't as well as the AS Roma squad quality. And De Zerbi may use the wrong tactic in the match against AS Roma.
De Zerbi manages an average team like Brighton, it is different with Guardiola was managing a big team like Barcelona.
Anyway, I don't think De Zerbi needs to be the next Guardiola.  

Ac milan played openly, sometimes they were too busy attacking and were not ready when there was a counterattack. Ac milan has a big advantage in this match because they are playing at home and are also superior in number of players. The current score was 3-2 where Prague was able to reduce the deficit in the second half. I think Ac milan should be able to take advantage of the situation to continue scoring goals because in terms of play they are able to dominate it well.

I don't see they are playing too openly. They just forget to focus on their defense, they are too busy attacking.  
It is funny that AC Milan conceded a goal again, it was already 2 conceded goals. Although they already scored 3 goals, it will be nothing if Prague scores again a goal. It can be 3 goals made by Prague if AC Milan defenders play carelessly.

Qarabag's performance has been quite impressive so far. But, in the second leg, I'm not sure Xabi will just let it go. Based on the results of this match, Xabi will definitely have a lot of tactical evaluations for the future. At least, the full first team must be deployed from the start. There are no trivial words in this UEFA Europe league match. There will be many possibilities for everything, and this is quite a valuable lesson for Xabi.

This is quite dangerous for Milan. They might think that a score of 3 - 1 is safe. Eliminating Braga was a big step for the team, and today they managed to play a good game against Leverkusen
It's a pity they conceded a late goal and that goal could be the most important factor in the German team's qualification. It would be great for the team to play in Germany with a one-goal lead, but it's going to be very, very difficult to beat Leverkusen in Germany the way they've been playing in Bundesliga

Qarabag 2 - 2 Bayer Leverkusen. It was good to see Qarabag leading with 2 goals against big Leverkusen up to two third of the game but they failed to maintain that score and Leverkusen were able to get the draw. I think Bayer are superior and they will score more in their home in the second leg.
Otherwise, Liverpool, Roma and Marseille ended their games with 4 goals difference making them almost qualifying to the next round. AC Milan are favourite too with their two goals difference advantage in front of Slavia Praha.

And once again they were able to atleast maintain their unbeaten run and salvage the game at almost end of the match and this is definitely the characters of a team that's going to be champions. Bayern Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso have achieved such a great feet by maintaining this unbeaten run this long and i believe if they continue like this they will definitely be champions of the Europa league and I think the only that can contest with them would be the English side LIVERPOOL.

Not far off from the prediction that Bayern Leverkusen did well in the remaining time of the match, they managed to equalize the 2 goal deficit in the 70th and 90+2 minutes.

I almost felt disappointed by their performance tonight if they hadn't display that come back at the second half. Indeed they have proven once again that they cannot be taken for granted. And finally AC Milan won the first leg against Slavia Prague with a score of 4-2. I think AC Milan is fine and if AC Milan is busy attacking that's right, because AC Milan will dominate throughout the match.
And AC Milan played too much on the wings, maybe that was one of their strategies but it worked, plus Slavia Prague only played with 10 players and they had to take advantage of it.

Before I talk about Bayer Leverkusen come back in their game against Qarabag, I'll want to first talk about the home team's performance in the game and how they were very close to beat Bayer Leverkusen in that game. For a team that's been very strong and consistent since the start of the season like Bayer Leverkusen, I was expecting them to win their game against Qarabag even when they were playing away but the home surprised me when they first scored the first two goals of the game and even had to protect their one goal lead until the stoppage time goal the game.
However, Bayer Leverkusen were still able to end the game with a draw and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 35 games without a defeat.
In the other games of the Europa League tonight, Liverpool as well as Roma and Marseille all won with four goals margins against their opponents to take full control of their round of 16 ties and I don't think there's anything that's gonna stop any of them from reaching the final quarter final of the competition this season

The fact that Brighton couldn't get a goal is dissappointing and we can't really call Brighton a small team base on stat in last 2 seasons, even if it was expected for Romans to win we were not expecting results like against Brighton.

Marseille, Iiverpool and As Romans have already qualified to the next round since they are leading with a goal difference of 4 against their respective opponents, Ac Milan ad less to worry about in comparison with the others. Talking about drama, how about the dramatic ending to West Ham and Freiburg game where West Ham were almost awarded a penalty in the final minutes of the extra time of the game for something that looked like a handball. It was a close call that the officials had to debate for a while before sending the referee to the VAR screen, I think the referee got it right. West Ham officials may argue the decision for long. I was scrolling through the channels for the games and that last incident caught my attention. I also thought Leverkusen's late equalizer was dramatic, but last situation in the West Ham game won the drama.

Excuses. The premier league is just not as difficult as people mae it seem. Everybody said Roma didn't stand a chance against Brighton. I remember saying here that both teams stand a chance to win. Even I didn't expect it to be so easy for Roma.
This further proves the misconception that the premier league is harder than other leagues.

Aston Villa couldn't score against struggling Ajax and West Ham too couldn't get a goal against Freiburg. But these are teams from the league that premier league fans say isn't good enough. Although Aston Villa and West Ham still have a slim chance to qualify, I think this is the end of Brighton's journey.

De Zerbi can't be the next Pep Guardiola. The next Pep Guardiola shouldn't be conceding 4 goals against Roma in the knockout stage of a European competition.
Arsenal too is another English team that should be careful in Europe. The fact that they're tearing things up in England doesn't mean they'll do the same in Europe. If they get overconfident Porto might just surprise them.

i couldn't believe what i saw, even Qarabag had a 2 goal lead in the first half, luckily Alonso changed his strategy and in the end it was effective so 2 goals were scored in the 70th and 92nd minutes.  from the match statistics for 90 minutes, Qarabag even managed to make 6x shots on goal, this was really unexpected, Qarabag are truly an enemy that looks small but in fact they are very tough.

The only two matches I wanted to see today were the headline ones featuring Liverpool and Leverkusen. It's interesting how everyone thought Liverpool will have a hard time against the Czech Republic current league leaders only for those quick goals to go in and put a strain in Sparta's performance. Another fun fact, Liverpool players scored all 3 goals including the Sparta goal which was scored by Bradley after coming up for just a minute.

Liverpool was the better team to have win this match and I think this was not a surprise to see them beating Sparta Prague with five goals to one. They can’t match their form and as such they needed to just concede those goals at a very early time in the game. Liverpool are doing it in the premier league and also doing their best in the Europa League also. They have the very big chance to win both competitions if they continue with this good form. Congratulations to them for having Mo Salah back from injury, it will definitely improve their performance in the pitch.

This is not the end of the game as they still have the second leg to be played. In as much as they remain the favourites for the Bundesliga title, I am sure they will not allow the opportunity to also win the Europa League title pass them by by being totally focused on the Bundesliga only. Qarabag is not a small team or new to the European competition but I still feel that Bayern Leverkusen can win them in this stage of the Europa League and advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

De Zerbi have had his moments from time to time this season but he just keeps getting his ass handed to him every other day.

With 4-0 thumping from Roma, I doubt the possibility of Brighton doing anything significant to alter the qualification results. At best, a 1-0 or 2-1 win or even a flat draw. He shouldn't have allowed Roma to get the upper hand in the tie.

I have gone through your argument and while some points are valid, I still maintain my beliefs that the Premier league is the most challenging league in the world. Aside the fact that Brighton and Villa are mid teams at best, even top tier clubs like Liverpool gets steady thumping from Real Madrid in the UCL. There was a time Spanish teams and Bayern in the Bundesliga dominated the UCL and EPL teams don't even make the quarter finals.

But it doesn't change the fact that a lot of players who have it easy in other leagues come into the premier league and struggle real hard. Even though EPL players struggle too but the percentage is less compared to other leagues.

Liverpool won the most comfortable match of the night, they beat Sparta Prague 5-1. Another favorite team, Bayern Laverkusen, was drawn for the qualification rounds.
