I assume there are many people who were surprised with the result of the Roma - Brighton game like me. It was just a huge dominance by Roma, much more than the expectations. The odd gap for these two sides to win wasn't that big. Maybe having Joao Pedro on the field would have made things more different for Brighton in terms of scoring capability. 

On the other hand De Rossi is really doing a great job these days. The general results have been really positive since the day he took the job. If he goes on like this I think Roma board would seriously thinking of extending his contract. 

Not only you but we here did not expect if Roma could destroy Brighton with a score of 4-0, indeed Brighton's performance was not too good in the Premier League by occupying 10th place, but if we compare with Roma so far of course Brighton actually has the quality needed to beat Roma, but instead we see the opposite happened in the match,  By successfully defeating Brighton in the first match makes Roma more likely to qualify for the next round and it seems impossible for Brighton to score 5 goals without reply in the second match later even though playing at home to Brighton.

De Rossi who was doubtful when replacing Mourinho is now all these doubts with the victory that Roma got, I personally actually also not sure if Roma can be better when Mourinho is replaced, but slowly it turns out Rossi can bring Roma to be better than what Mourinho did before and even now Roma are also starting to compete for Champions League tickets next season after previously they were far behind,  I think with everything Roma have achieved at the moment, the roma fans trust in rossi is getting bigger and if Rossi is able to make Roma win the Europa League and ensure a place in the Champions League next season then it is very likely that De Rossi will be able to get a long-term contract from the Roma management.

The Serie A teams have impressive performed in UEFA Europe League first leg 16 of round except the draw result from Atalanta but its not really bad with their away match. AS Roma and AC Milan are guarantee teams will qualify to next round or quarter final after bigger score winning in the first leg and make easily for second legs match indeed with away match. Just reminder for AC Milan have conceded two goals on the first leg and margin two goals capital on second legs match should improve their performance and not losses above three goals if won't eliminated in 16 round of Europe League.

For AS Roma seems guarantee qualify to next round, have capital four margin goals on the first leg without any conceded one goal yet seems not much problem on second leg match although got losses under three goals and I don't think Daniele De Rossi will playing more defensive.

In last season we have three Serie A teams in to UEFA finals with in this season again we are having few teams which are performing impressive and have good chance for their spots into last two teams with Inter Milan is having good presence in Champions League and their three teams are in Europa League and one team is having good performance in Conference League, so things are surely positive, but they are falling at the top which is surely giving them lack of quality against top teams with their ability to win is also questionable because they are not having funds like we have in other leagues which are hurting them badly if they are able to manage this surely we can expect them to have wins in these events which will give them good confidence and booster but how things will be work its never been easy to predict because funds are important for having top quality players which are important for the win.

In terms of strength, Leverkusen is not the only one who is strong this season, several of the remaining teams in the Europa League this season also have almost the same strength as Leverkusen, but consistently Leverkusen is very good this season so they are the favourites, I think that's quite natural.
And it is true that there are still Liverpool this season who are the same and they are also very favorites and even if there are no surprises the ideal final of the Europa League this season is between Leverkusen and Liverpool, I don't mean to underestimate other teams but that is quite realistic considering that Leverkusen and Liverpool have consistency and strength.

Let’s not cut it down to the least of them so soon because some big teams are still in the competition and if they are yet to be eliminated, I feel the final cannot be assured to be played between Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen just yet. They are both playing great football in the Europa League and in their respective domestic leagues too and are both occupying the first positions on their league standings. But that aside, because this is an European competition and not every team can be underrated and they could face a bigger challenge here to see themself through to the finals. Roma and Brighton are also good teams in the Europa League competition so far, I still see the potentials in this two teams and if they still remain in the competition, I won’t confidently agree that Bayern Leverkusen and Liverpool will be the teams to play in the final.

The results of the match were a bit surprising, because I personally didn't expect them to win with such a landslide score. The reason is that at the start I thought that Brighton was one of the clubs that could provide resistance to AS Roma, but they didn't show that in this match. On the other hand, it was AS Roma who could actually be comfortable with the scores they could create.

This result will make AS Roma more comfortable in the second leg even though they will have visiting team status. Even if they lose, as long as there are no more than 4 goals then it will still take them through to the next round. This is a good move from De Rossi.

Another match that ended with a striking score was the match between Sparta Prague vs Liverpool. Liverpool managed to overthrow Spartha Prague with a score of 1-5. They really deserve to be the favorites in the European League this season. Leverkusen experienced a slightly disappointing result, they had to draw 2-2. However, in the second leg they have a big chance of winning, this time they will appear as hosts. That was an advantage for them even though they had to draw in the first leg.

however, this surprise occurred because previously many people had predicted that maybe Roma would get a narrow victory, but in fact all of that was speculation which could not come true after De Rossi changed Roma to be stronger than before and many people even doubted that De Rossi would manage Roma but he succeeded in paying off all the bad criticism with these amazing results.
on the one hand, it's actually natural that Roma was able to score big after Brighton experience such a deep decline in performance and we can see from the playing style of the Brighton players that almost every match make us bored because they don't show the strength like at the start of last season which looked more consistent.
but there is something that we have to look into more deeply, namely that Brighton actually lost a midfielder and an attacking player who is currently suffering from injury, so this is most likely the reason why Brighton is unable to survive with its performance so it has lost the strength to still be able to withstand attack from Roma.

and Roma is currently far superior to Brigton. It is clear that the player who is highly favored by Lukaku is still making the best contribution and is supported by Dybala, who has now also started to show his talent and build chemistry with Lukaku.
this time Roma has a very big chance and is even guaranteed to qualify for the quarter final and become part of the strongest team in the european league.

I can agree if Liverpool is one of the top teams in UEL and will have a good chance to win the title. But I think Leverkusen, AC Milan, and AS Roma have a good chance to win title as well. Leverkusen, AC Milan, and AS Roma are strong enough to challenge Liverpool for the title. Specifically for Leverkusen, this team is still unbeatable until now.

Liverpool may have the chance to get some trophies/titles. But it won't be easy to get UEL trophy, there are some strong teams here. They may give a surprise for the next match. If they will play against Liverpool, they may defeat Liverpool if Liverpool isn't ready for the match.

Europa does seem competitive because there's presence of major top clubs there, triumphed victory are mainly for the big winnings. Defeats comes to only those inconsistent teams, I've watch closely to see the incredible form of Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool, they're not giving up anytime soon, rather they're bringing on more tougher challenges for their oppositions this season. I'm expecting to see Liverpool vs Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final because they're the only top clubs that have reached important phase in the league and also in their perspective league.

Maybe at this point the Europa may not be really appearing competitive enough to you but then I'm very sure beyond this point you will get to see more actions and the competition will definitely come alive such that you will actually really enjoyed it well enough, so just a more careful and closer look you can still find some kind nof competition especially amongst the smaller teams but not with the bigger once.

The big teams seem to be having it quiet easy at this stage and are winning their games quiet shamelessly but then have also seen quite some few cases of what would have look like a tough game for them especially that with Leverkusen few days back but then I'm not seeing it as a reason they may not get lass this stage of the Europa, but with Liverpool and AC Milan it's not looking tough and difficult yet until when the big teams will begin to meet themselves then we are going to see another kind of action that will be shown in the competition especially amongst the elites.

Leverkusen and Liverpool as re the top teams in the Europa and we also have the likes of AC Milan and Roma who would want to aswell want to make sure they are able to get far int eh league and probably get to secure the third place in the league but then I don't want to believe Roma may pose enough threat as they don appear to have such form for elite teams like Liverpool a d Leverkusen but may be able to challenge other weak teams.

There is no denying this because even though Leverkusen is currently in a very good condition where Xabi can turn Leverkusen into a club that cannot be underestimated but speaking of quality in terms of players, experience and performance on the field, it is certain that Liverpool is the most favorite club for the Europa League.
As for the issue of guarantees things like this are difficult to predict in the Europa League. We certainly know in the last few seasons after Manchester United, Atletico and Chelsea took turns being champions in the 3 seasons after that there was always a surprise where Villarreal won after winning against Manchester United in the 2020/2021 final or in the previous 2 seasons where there were names Frankfurt and Sevilla which even though if we look at the contestants in the last season there is always Barcelona in it.

Surprises like this can always happen again at this time even though Liverpool cannot be denied they are a strong club but it is not impossible for them to lose and unexpected clubs can get trophies in the Europa League.

Not just in UEFA Europa League competition does some of the greatest surprises and comebacks happens in football but also in many other football competition but considering the strength of Liverpool against Sparta Praha, I think will easily stake all my life savings that Sparta Praha doesn't have all it takes to make a come back against Liverpool when they play each other at Anfield next week Thursday for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie.
Liverpool alongside Bayer Leverkusen are simply the  favorites to win the UEFA Europa League competition at the end of the season and I don't think Sparta Praha stands any chance to stop Liverpool at least from reaching the next round of the competition because Liverpool as we all know is a very ruthless club that'll surely score as many goals as possible when they meet each other next week Thursday. Just like Liverpool, I also expect Bayer Leverkusen to make it to the next round of the competition before draw for the quarter finals and semi finals will be made by UEFA.

I agree with you. AS Roma is still far from the level of Liverpool and Leverkusen. AS Roma still can't prove that they already become a stronger and solid team. Most the matches that AS Roma won, were easy matches. Most of them were playing against average or small teams. We only can assume AS Roma to have the chance beating Liverpool or Leverkusen if AS Roma can beat Milan, Juventus, or Inter in Serie A.

For the final match, it is still difficult to predict. However, I'm sure the ideal final match should be for the favorite teams. Liverpool, Leverkusen, and AC Milan look like the favorite teams in UEL. I think the final match should be among these teams.

None of these teams are better than each other, it's just about comparing them to their current stats and seeing the difference. Besides why lay out comparisons when one can easily spot the vast difference in previous games played. However there are promising clubs that have enlisted on the radar to win the Europa League title and these are elite teams that are doing exceptionally brilliant in matches. Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the main clubs, no change about that. All we have to do now is to patiently wait for the big game to happen in the grand Europa League final.

Liverpool has been doing a great job so far this season and it has to be taken into consideration that they are still missing several players due to injuries. Given that they had been dealing with so many injuries most of the time, I think it is impressive to see them leading the Premier League table (or for the moment it is Arsenal, but still).

I think is also what plays an important role in the knockout stages. If a team is at a disadvantage because of injured players, it can make a big difference in the games against other top teams. Let's hope that all teams can come up with their best squads in all of the games.

There are 4 possible clubs that could be candidates for the UEL title, Liverpool, Leverkusen, Milan and Roma, of these 4 clubs it is still an interesting discussion because these 4 clubs both have very clear advantages Liverpool has quite stable strength and Leverkusen with unbeatable strength but there are still obstacles that could provide surprises beyond our expectation, Milan and Roma who can always provide surprises in the final round because currently these 4 clubs still have a big chance. Excepted maybe when we enter the quarter-finals we will see very difficult competition and we will know which club will be the title holder because in the quarter-finals we will be able to see how all the clubs that have qualified will performed and can determine whether Liverpool or Leverkusen will still look impressive.

Something I am thinking about right now is just a surprise like Sevilla will be repeated Milan or Roma because slowly without us realizing Milan and Roma have quite big potential.

Their task is very easy in the second leg, with a 4 goal advantage that they have, it will make them more comfortable when playing the second leg. I think maybe they will rotate or they will save a little of their strength to prepare for the next match. In my opinion, this is not part of underestimating the opponent, but with a score that is so far away like that it will be very difficult for the opponent to catch up, but still they have to be careful because the opponent will not think long about playing all out.
Now they will first focus on the match in the Premier League, in the Premier League they will face the defending champions who are also right below them with a distance of 1 point, Manchester City. This is a difficult match for Liverpool, just as it is a difficult match for Manchester City. No one will think this match is easy, both Liverpool and Manchester City will do everything they can to win the match.
