Day two of the week as there is no time to waste in this great exercise as  it's benefits can't be over emphasize. I observed that my name is included in the table of activity but spelled wrongly, I don't  know if that matters most but if it does  please kindly correct with all humidity as the correction is "Uhwuchukwu53". this is today report

Day two reports of the week.
$100k,Uhwuchukwu53,2,75,2024-06-02.
First of all let me start it from here concerning your username it is what you gave at your previous push-up report that is showing in the push-up table which is  Uheuchukwu53 instead of Uhwuchukwu53 for it just like Gigo in computer garbage in garbage out for it is what you give that will show up.

And still looking at your push-up report it seems there is a mistake in your numbers of push-up because same number of push-up you did previously is thesame numbers of push-up you still wrote here or let's say is a misprint or typographical error or you forgot to add your today push-up numbers with your previous numbers.
I observed the same thing on his day 2 push-up report, but since the report is for a different day, I think Uhwuchukwu53 wants to stick with the 75 push-ups he started with. It isn't a typo error; that is the exact number of push-ups he did. If he is consistent with it, he will get better at doing push-ups, and he will increase his push-up number to 100 push-ups a day. Don't worry; if DirtyKeyboard sees your comment, he will update your correct name on the push-up table.

Today I went with 4 sets of 25 reps, instead of the 5 sets I have been performing previously, I felt fine and did not had too much of a trouble doing this, however yesterday I took a break since I realized I have been exercising non-stop for 2 weeks already and this is not a good thing either as muscles must be given a time to rest too, so this will reduce my daily push-ups average, but I plan to make up for this by eventually increasing the number of reps I perform daily.

Wow! It is good to see you are already improving in this push-up challenge after just 2 weeks of joining us. You have reduced the 5 sets it takes you to complete 100 push-ups to 4 sets now and also increased the number of push-ups you do in each rep to achieve the 100 push-ups you do each day. You did the right thing by taking a day off to get enough rest and relax your body to be ready for another milestone you will achieve soon. It is always important for us to get enough rest so that our body will build up and for us to see the benefit of push-ups in our body. If we can get 7 hours of rest a day after doing push-ups, we should do it. It will be of great help to us.

EDIT: I'm going to fix everyone this time.  But single digit months and days do not work.  My fault.

Thanks for correcting my mistake. I’ll try to lay better attention. I updated my post so it’s correct now at least.

I have a buddy I got into this challenge. He isn’t a Bitcoiner but he mentioned to me he wanted to start working out so I got him started on this challenge. He’s on day 29 now and frequently reports his progress to me. Pretty cool. Next I’ll get him stacking sats. Smiley

Welcome to the new week guys, I decided to increase my push-ups starting on Sunday from 15-20 which has been nice cause I haven’t felt any less than I did while doing 15 rather I’ve been feeling pumped afterwards.

Here’s an update of my report from Saturday till date;

June 3 2024 372 steps done, time 14 minutes and 14 seconds price 69.7k breakfast

I have 12 steps to first floor from kitchen in second floor.

so I am still  discovering just how many steps / flights of stairs I can do.

I did 13 minutes no rest . Up and down 33 flights it is not easy.  I will cap at 20 minutes which will be close to 600 steps.maybe I get there by end of junethe

Only 31 flights of stairs. I set a timer at 14:14 and I did a more controlled deliberate pace.

SO the time was a bit longer. I shut the ac off at 6am and did the steps at 10am. House is warm and no muscle issues.

I am near limits of what is safe for me. Knees feel just a bit creaky at  the 25 flight mark of steps.

I will add time to timer tomorrow.  15:15 wish me luck.

For some days now I have not been feeling well so I decided to visit my doctor at the hospital, after series of test the doctor said I have malaria so he prescribed some malaria drugs for me and advise me to take plenty of rest because that, I have to pause my Pushups exercise until am fine.

Today I was feeling strong and my whole body was brimming with energy so I decided so exercise my body. I was able to do 90 Push ups in two sets that is 45,45. I know what it feels like for not exercising my body for some days but Thank God am strong and back.

EDIT: I'm going to fix everyone this time.  But single digit months and days do not work.  My fault.

Got it. I've to post month and day not with single digit but with double digit format starting with "0" to show up in the sheet correctly. Updated my previous post too with correct format.

You ever try to do them backwards? It really works some of those not so often used knee muscles. Nice job keeping up the stepping.

You ever try to do them backwards? It really works some of those not so often used knee muscles. Nice job keeping up the stepping.

I may do that soon. What I have found is the steps are harder to do than the stationary bike.

So I push breathing and cardio more easily. I was doing 23 minutes x 3 on the bike but it is 69-70 minutes a day a lot of time. The stairs are 14 minutes and I do 10 minutes on the bike after supper using exercise bands.

So I am doing 24-30 minutes vs 69-70 minutes and seem to get better results.

I hope to do 20 minutes on the stairs once a day  and maybe 15 minutes light duty on the bike

a 35 minute exercise routine with better results than a 70 minute routine would be nice.

In a magical world that follows my will I get down to 177-180 pound of lean body.

My wind improves the wife is inspired and starts doing steps helping her recover from her covid lung damage.

So far all of the bold type above is actually moving into truthful and leaving fantasy.

Oh I dropped my a1c from 6.7/6.8 to 5.8/5.9 weight is 192 vs 213 all since the beginning of this year.

I won't fully credit this thread as the reason why. But this thread is certainly one of the reasons why I am improving.

My wife has also started the steps and her lungs are improving.

My stress free pattern of the push up five set though tempted to increase but resist because of the previous experience.

Yeah quality food = costly

I think I starting working out again around Dec 2020.

But all light movement.

23 minutes on a stationary cycle  3 times a day after each meal. plus exercise bands while I cycled

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088DZWSF6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?

Just attach to the cycle bars .

I had got down to 185 pounds and was on good shape. I then did the hernia operation and stopped exercising for a long time. I gained almost 30 pounds. 215 or so. I am back to 195 and getting in shape. The stair climbing and light cycle work is a bit better than the  just lite cycle work.

I really like that this thread came along. I took a long break for my next surgery and am now getting back to it.

But with all due respect, light movement or not, going 23 minutes 3 times a day sounds very consistent and healthy to me if you don't cause your body to be sore all the time. You are way above the average person with that workload. There are amazing studies on the huge positive effects of little physical activity. Decreasing returns to scale is the key term here. Someone who exercises three times a week for 30 minutes is a hell lot of more healthy than a person not doing anything at all. Hence, 69 minutes a day split in very doable sessions is a great way to stay healthy.

I don't know any other data about you, but for an average person weighing 195 is sooooo much better than weighing 215. The weight difference has tremendous effects on all parts and systems of your body. Hormones, cardiovascular system, joints of course! I can't tell the numbers from the top of my head, but you are taking of thousands of tons of workload for your joints per year when you lose a few pounds of fat. It is because of the weight having a different load when in motion. Again, very interest research out there about it.

So good to read you are doing all that exercise and once you feel like it, resistance is no less important and has amazing synergetic and complimentary effects, JayJuanGee pointed that out. Whether going cardio first and resistance training last or vice versa, in general JJG is correct. Depleting energy especially with anaerobic training first is not the best idea, but again it is much better than not doing it at all. It depends what the cardio training looks like. Hardcore anaerobic and then resistance training, if possible then rather not. Once you are used to cardio by the way, your body learns to more efficiently mobilize ketones for as long as you don't go ultra hard during most of your cardio sessions. Training can turn you into a very machine over time when it comes to energy usage. That is why different forms of training combined over the course of a week is the best thing you can do. People who do a lot of aerobic cardio will see that it is a great way to get better control over your hunger. The reason is that the body far quicker starts mobilizing fatty acids to nurture the body. That's why having some days with less carbohydrates can make sense to more intensely train the body for fat oxidation instead of glucose usage. But I am not a fan of any extreme form of nutrition. Temporarily yes, but a whole life without carbohydrates or anything excluded from the meal plan is something I think isn't sustainable for most people.

SOMETIMES YOU WIN, SOMETIMES YOU LEARN!

I have a buddy I got into this challenge. He isn’t a Bitcoiner but he mentioned to me he wanted to start working out so I got him started on this challenge. He’s on day 29 now and frequently reports his progress to me. Pretty cool. Next I’ll get him stacking sats. Smiley
Your friend may not realize it now, but he has taken a decision that may change his life for the better, the benefits of exercising are well-known and almost endless as well, if he can keep up exercising to the point this becomes a routine, a process which takes a few months, the benefits he will get now and later in life by being way healthier than his peers will make so much effort to be worth it.

I am going to say that I brought my average up to 200 pushups per day for today, yet tentatively, I am now planning to allow my average drop down to around 150 per day, and so it could take more than a month to achieve that, but I am going to take some pressure off of myself, because it is just too much for me to be trying to keep my 200 pushups average.

My plan is to try to do between 100 and 150 pushups, and so I am not going to get stressed out as long as my pushups are somewhere in that range.. and maybe, I will just see how it goes in the coming weeks as far as the next target.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

For me the 3 x 23 = 69 minutes was eating too much time. It was mild cycling or spinning along with do resistance bands on the handlebars. for maybe 3 minutes or 5 minutes of each 23 minute session.  I was doing this for a few years. The had the hernia which put the exercise for a long time.

I did go back to the 3 x 23 with bands in Feb of this year until I did the deviated septum surgery this April.

I was inspired by this thread and got back into regular exercise because of this thread. (likely may have got back eventually but this thread helps).

The steps are way way way harder to do then the cycling so I have to find the right amount of steps and the right amount of speed/time.

My breath control is improving a lot doing this.(fixing the septum also helps).  Maybe I will end up at 40 flights and 20 minutes maybe I cut it at 30-35 flights and 15 minutes.

Knees feel a bit sore in the 25+ flights range. So I know I can't push past that as it is not muscle involved.

Shutting AC off and getting house to 85f helps the steps/flights as no muscles are stiff from cold.

This has been a nice journey for me. Looking forward to 15.15 minutes of stair tomorrow and 30-35 flights of stairs.

I once felt this way when I was doing an average of 200 push-ups a day for some weeks. It got to a point when my body was so stressed that I couldn't keep up with the average of 200 push-ups a day. I had to reduce my daily push-up number to ease the pain in my body and keep on doing my push-ups. For now, my push-up average is around 150 push-ups per day, and I have adopted a strategy of 5 sets of 30 reps to maintain the 150 push-ups a day.

yep as too much pain means setback and possible injury.

Though I may not know your age but I believe age and stamina  are among  the two things that determined how many push-up one will go a day without been affected and
i think your idea is nice cause it will help you round up fast without much stress and pains. In as much as we have a target and also trying to keep our body fit that doesn't mean one should over do it cause there are effects when someone overstressed his/her muscles and sometimes the pains are usually not funny and too much of everything is not good.
