The judges are going to need clarification on this statement before a ruling but I’m heavily leaning towards pressing the pause button on that turn of a phrase.
Being horny and appreciate was only based on @Philipma1957 speaking his mind on how he can do 25+25 today because he did workout today, so i was only analyzing his sincerity that is all.

i just ate a watermelon with an above-average taste, juicy and delicious. 7/10. one of my must-haves for the summer and now i'm counting down to eating grapes.

looking back at all my push-up reports to date and thinking about what i like most about this whole event, i think keeping track of everything is my favorite thing here.

imagine, years from now, if i'm still alive and doing this challenge, i'll know the number of push-ups i've done from the time i started until that day, when and how i did them, what i ate that day and how i felt. thousands of push-ups and i have a record of all of them right here. it's awesome.

i hope the community here lasts a long time, being a part of something is something almost everyone wants.

This is exactly how I feel. You won't imagine how scared I was when @Jayjuangee hinted on closing the thread. I felt like it has happened already and I became scared. This thread has the record I will someday pass along to my next generation when I look back to here. I would always tell that story of how someone knows as @OgNasty thought it wise to open a challenge where able bodies participate in pushups aimed at achieving 100 pushups daily. I can boldly brag about how I kept to that exercise for a given number of days must would blow their minds.

Every generation has something they find interesting, I'm sure this story won't be too boring to hear when I tell it under the moonlight in my open sitout. The number of pushups I garnered would definitely blow their minds, haha. Everyday brings new reasons to keep pushing. @Dirtykeyboard would definitely be awarded a Nobel price as the first man to keep the pushups record for many over the longest period of time hopefully.

That's right and it seems that there really needs to be a re-acclimatization because previously I was quite able to do around 150 push ups in 5 sets but after a few weeks of not doing it there seems to be a slight problem if it is too forced and it happened where when yesterday I tried to force 100 push ups in 4 sets x 20 reps in the end until now I still feel some sore parts including the biceps.

I tried to minimize it by compressing and giving pain relievers but the discomfort is still there even today.
I think it's my fault for trying to push myself after my muscles started to stiffen but it's already happened and today I even reduced my challenge again.

This kind of punishment might be a good alternative but of course it's possible if we feel better and I might do the same when some parts of my body start to return to normal.

There should be no reason to get dis-spirited merely based on a need to build back up, except sometimes we might get injured or we might have some kind of disease and/or aging that might not allow us to recover to back to where we were in our fitness and/or health in previous times.

I am quite surprised by my own strength and my ability to keep doing pushups for so much of a streak - yet my own fears about breaking the streak incentivizes me not to do it.. and I even know that I am largely just maintaining myself rather than really expanding, since there is really ONLY so much that any of us can do within our age, health and/or other limitations (recovery time, as Phil mentioned).

Age is sometimes always a natural problem that in the end it will sooner or later make our physical condition decline, although there are still some people who manage to maintain their condition even until quite old age but that is sometimes only a small part of the majority of humans who exist and live today.
But on the other hand maintaining what already exists is much better than just leaving it alone even though we may realize that we are not developing anymore with it but still trying to maintain it is still very good for me.

Our strength is sometimes our own limitation and indeed when forced we will be surprised that we can do things much more than we expect of ourselves.

I do not want the thread to end.

I am in-between no commitment and full commitment.

but I did

 20 min on bike
 25 pushups
 15 min on bike
 15 push ups
 60 stairs up and down
 15 pushups today


there is no way I would do this without the thread.

As I have mentioned I am 68 and diabetic

   6 foot tall
198 pounds

I am convinced  this thread will add health to anyone that attemps to use it as an exercise tool.

at jjg yeah i did informal ones in may and meant to go formal june 1
will attempt formal counting in july.

I suppose that you can call them "informal," and it is your choice whether and how to report your pushups.

Since I have a nice round number in regards to the number of days, I decided to report today.

If the thread gets locked, then I'm sure one of us will start another with an appropriate name

Some of "us" might have started to consider the possibility of your results going to the bench, but you saved yourself from your bot...   hahahaha

Regarding my pizza, I probably ate 90% of it over the course of 5-ish days, since my partner (helper) seems to have an aversion to left overs, yet since there was so much meat and cheese on the pizza, in terms of left overs (sometimes they taste better upon sitting for a while and warming up), I could mix such cheese and meat in with other dishes to add meat and cheese to almost any of the freshly made (non-left-over) dishes.

Allright!  50k club.  

Welcome.  Your current pushup totals clearly puts your total quantity of pushups 1,300-ish above the 200-WMA, and if you keep your pushups at least 100 per day, you are nearly close to increasing your pushups totals double the rate in which the 200-WMA is currently increasing, which is ONLY going up in the ballpark of $50 per day.. yet I suspect that it could be that within a year or less, the 200-WMA may well start having periods in which it is going up by more than $100 per day... .of course, depending on what the BTC spot price does from here on out... and furthermore what the BTC spot price does in the next 4-ish years.

The first 20,000 I was doing very differently where my hands were wide, and in the down position my arms made like the frame of a soccer goal with my biceps perpendicular to my body, which I think was working more my back.

Now I've pulled my hands in more under my shoulders, and send my elbows more back than out, which I think is working my shoulders more.  

You may be correct.  I have mostly tended to keep my hands in the ballpark of shoulder width apart, and so far I have not really gotten interested in changing my hand placement.. but that might just be me (and my own level of ornery-ness).

Along with eating more protein and drinking protien shakes, I look bulkier. 💪 I'm sure I could get more results by doing more/different exercises than 100 pushups a day, but hey, my triceps and pecs are casting shadows now.   Grin  

I am pretty sure that i have some changes in my overall physique too.. since how could a guy like me do so many pushups in the past 500 days, without experiencing some tangible results both in terms of looks and in terms of strength - even though I suspect that there is a bit of a maintenance aspect to this whole pushup's thing too.. so that if any of us were to quit doing our daily-ish pushups then we are likely to suffer some negative consequences from such  - such as loss of strength, endurance and even looks, unless we are able to figure out and do some adequate substitute exercises (activities).

When in doubt.. push on.. and surely once in a while we likely come across guys in our real lives who are appearing to suffer from their lack of engaging in much if any kinds of exercises and their lack of physical fitness can be seen through their posture and their ways of holding themselves.. not that I am any kind of a specimen of a jock, but I think that I can tolerate more stress these days than I would have had otherwise been able to tolerate in the past year (or the past 16-ish months) by having had been purposefully putting my body under daily pushups' stress  (and admittedly there are some days in which my activities are not much other than pushups (and currently lunges), and there are other days in which I might have walking, swimming and/or some other activities.. such as the hiking day in which my legs were quite sore that I believe that I had mentioned a couple of months back).

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Actually, that sagging or lack of sagging in the arms might be something somewhat tangible that I have gained our of this whole pushups' experiences, too... because it is likely the case that both biceps and triceps end up getting worked within our doing regular pushups.. even though it may well be triceps that get worked more than biceps, and frequently I feel ongoing soreness in my shoulders more than in arms, so there must be some improvements that are going on in the shoulders too, even if the improvements might not be so visible within how the shoulders look.

The way you said it was as if is bad 🤣 but all the same is still good that you're working out and still monitoring it. But I don't think if will be gone for good because if you're old it will give that sign that the skin can't be as strong as it used to be when you're around your (let's say when you are young) 20's and that's the change we are talking about and there is no amount of work out that you'd do that it will completely go off but that shouldn't discourage you, after all you seem like the type that keeps going till you achieve your goals. I still like how you put more effort to keep fit.

The earlier the easier and the better. The weather is still very cold, even when you are tired, you push to generate heat. This camping is worth revisiting. The stride is own and the effect is second to non. I've got a more time now to focus.

Yes you're correct about the auto spell, it has a was of surprising us by putting us in a fucked up corner that you can only see it after the damage has been done, let me not say the word😊.
The loose skin is something I do see when I watch the WWE a big fan though and if you observe how the body of some of the old legends are reacting now to those body building as of then you'd think of not trying to build the body to a certain level because it must show like the loose skin you talked about. I don't know if is because of the kind of body building drugs or something I can't tell and I'd like it if it doesn't happen to us the way it happens to them and I hope so because we don't use drugs, unless someone special is using without we knowing, anybody 🤔? Well I know we go natural...take for instance Dave Batista, his muscles are dropping at his current age 56, no wife since his last divorce in 2019 and I ask myself why? No woman to stress him out but the body look stressed up. So if you are 78 and not experiencing much of the loosen skin then you're lucky after all our bodies ain't the same...

Below the table report update:
The 'Days till 1_000_000' prediction was using the total overall average of pushups per report, which was more ealier on, 12925.7 (This space will remain the same).  Hopefully the days till space will now use the average of the last 30 days of submitted pushups in the calculation.  Which was ~1444.4 pushup average for the last 30 days, leading to around 18 days till 1,000,000 reported pushups!  

Who's going to submit the millionth one?  Smiley

EDIT: hopefully clarified things, and also I think I might add some sanity checks to ignore the reports that have obvious typos in them.

I was in a very tight schedule that i just created a chance to do my daily routine, once I'm ready to go take my bath of going out for my business meeting, i will do my push-ups exercise within that interval of time because without the period of me waking up and doing my push-ups immediately before going to bath i could have be on a floor bench since the beginning of these week but i do try my best to fit in no matter my tight schedule and for my previous push-ups i couldn't notice the typing errors because i was in a hurry going out for a business meeting.

But yesterday before i reported my push-ups exercise i noticed the error but i couldn't edith it because it is already in the table and that is why i have to correct myself in that yesterday report, i sincerely apologize for that typing error and today i was do my push-ups exercise in 20 for 6 sets before going out again today and  hopeful my schedule will end these weekend.

The 'Days till 1_000_000' prediction was using the total overall average of pushups per report, which was more ealier on, 12925.7 (This space will remain the same).  Hopefully the days till space will now use the average of the last 30 days of submitted pushups in the calculation.  Which was ~1444.4 pushup average for the last 30 days, leading to around 18 days till 1,000,000 reported pushups!  
Who's going to submit the millionth one?  Smiley

Surely, we are getting close to 1 million as a group achievement.
