According to BTCGuild, the current PPS rate is 0.0000363.
On gpumax, the current price to buy per share is 0.0000572.
Using 20,000 shares, that would cost me  1.144BTC. In return, I would only get 0.726BTC from BTCGuild.
Why would anyone wants to do that?
I can see a reason to buy if the price to buy is quoted in USD. But if I am paying in BTC, and receiving in BTC, what am I to gain from this?

Don't do it if you don't get it. Others are and are profiting.....

Update
It's that time again for another update.  We are finishing up this last batch of purchases and will suspend them from starting until we have the update completed.  We always hope that nothing goes wrong from our staging server to production but if something happens it won't be for long.

Thanks,

We are about to start back up shortly.

Interesting concept. Kinda of a meta pool. I wouldnt mind connecting one mining rig to kick the tires.
I would also, Enjoy, Kicking the tires, Hell, If i could just toss 1ghash overthere, Correct me if im wrong, But whats BASICALLY going to happen is that:

"ladeeda mine mine mine" "hey buddy i see your GPU is up for rent, Can i rent it for xyz?" "Sure" "Ladeeda Now public mining"

My question, Is where is my Original hash power going to be directed to, Do i just Aim at deepbit TRHOUGH GPUMAX, and therefore whenever im Not being rented GPUMAX will tell my miners to go back to deepbit?

Im alittle confused as to how im going to recieve extra amounts by renting out my hashpower, Errr.

Guy rents gpu.. For the PPshare performance cost... Wich gets sent to me.. Annnd thennn.. My running GPU.... Mines for him? at the PPshare price being sent to me?

Breakdown please?

yes, this is how greed works - give your recource to the highest payer. no matter it's use. I'm not saying this service is greedy, but it makes it much more clear when it is.

Free market capitalism at work. I see nothing wrong with this... Everyone is consenting adults here right? Smiley Yeah moving on...

I did not claim that something is wrong here, just making it clear for people what the effect of giving your power away is. Just like banking, wallstreet, and so on, they are not greedy, it's you and me who are greedy, who will give them our money for some extra juice.

It says my worker is connected, but it is not hashing.
I checked on my machine, all it says is phornix r111 starting..... and 0 hashes.
I am using command line, NOT using mining management software like cgminer or things like that.

Payments are manually processed right now, but that is coming in the next update.

Just got my invite .. YEAH !!!

a question:   when viewing miners that are active, there is a little graph thingy for each miner that keeps updating... do those bars actually mean anything, or are they just eye candy?

thanks,

They show the number of shares for each time period of each bar.  They are really just eye candy for now.  More fun charts and stats are coming.

holy shit.

it's better than i expected.
i'm being picky, i like the dashboard if it's showing all the work and shares, with details. I can safely assume it will be on the public release?
too bad i can't direct it to my hopping machine.
