I got royally screwed on that 4.4 BTC purchase I think..... definitely not what I was expecting based on other's testimonials.

Dude, are you serious???  do you think testimonials are an actual representation?  Or do you here people bragging about how they 'won'.

I have made 8 purchases.  all but 1 were losers.  the last. 11 btc pointed at deep.  3.3 btc earned

One winner.   11btc,  13.3 returned
it's all about timings.

We don't guarantee speeds, we send shares as fast as possible.  Its just the luck of the draw.
HHhmmm..... That doesn't sound right, considering there are 2 pricing tiers, one of them being High Priority, at a higher price.

I realize that the service is still in it's infancy, but if 'blasting' a pool's round with insane speeds is not a possibility, then I am seeing less and less use for the service in the future considering the 'next generation' payment methods used by 99% of pools currently. I honestly fail to see the gain, other than being a miner who sells shares through the service...but WHO will continue to purchase ? and for what reason ?

Perhaps 6 months ago, when PROP Pools still existed in greater numbers, the relevance of such a service with a guarantee for shares delivered (but not the speed at which they were delivered) would have been made more sense.
Statements such as 'We don't guarantee speeds' leaves me questioning the potential and future proposed usage model for GPUMAX... and how GPUMAX plans to survive in the future if raw speed is in fact NOT a guaranteed feature....still, only shares delivered.....  ?

Sorry for the '20 Questions', especially considering how long I have been using the service to manage and sell my hashing power.
I am just trying to better understand it from the 'other' side of the coin....

It's not really a problem as much as it is people buying shares on pools that can't handle the load which we are still fine turning to protect our miners.  Updates coming soon will address this and make buyers pay for rejects on pools that have issues so the miners are not penalized for it.

EDIT: We get a lot of pools ops testing their system which is not something miners should have to pay for with rejects and stales.
Over a very extensive sample, I have a .78% reject rate. GPUMAX's tends to be MUCH higher when doing leased work, hard to figure without the figures being broken out, but my current rate is 1,674,816 accepted, 79,673 rejected, or 79,673 / 1,754,489 ~ 4.54%, and I think the bulk of that comes from the public work. I would gladly accept not being paid for up to 1% rejects, but I think anything above that ought to be paid for by the buyer.

Just to be clear....

Payments will be processed at 1:00am from now on ?

I understand tonight's payment was smaller due to changing payout time, but what time of day will payments be made from now on ?

I am hoping that there isn't a half day hold on funds (ie. cut off time 1:00am, then payments sent 12 hours later).

Pirate, could you clarify please ?

I am not sure if this has been asked before... Are you going to balance the amount of accounts to keep supply and demand in check or completely free market of joining and buying?

I know Pirate's been opening it up to the people that have signed up in batches.  I'm guessing that's to keep it balanced. If you want to GPUmax, sign up and wait until you get the email.  Its the same process that everyone currently using GPUmax has done. Sign up and be patient. Smiley

Ever mine on Eligius?  Sometimes you can wait for days before you get your payout.  Does your job pay you each day right as you are leaving work? Chill out.  14 hours isn't that long, really.

Never have mined that piece of shits pool and chill out really, I stated a fact of what happened with the payments according to my calculations of what was owed to me at that time. It is long past due for these boys to have a working payment system none of this when they get around to it then paying you. They get paid in advance for the work done so unlike pools there is no need for the BTC to be maturing causing a delay in your getting paid. In short if it staying as it is eg. no user payout option available then pick a time and stick to it so people know what is happening with their BTC.

Then perhaps you need to mine somewhere else.  It says BETA on the front page.  Evidently you don't know or forgot what that means.  There are plenty more on the invite list that want in that will take your spot.

Doing payments manually was an easy thing when we started and focused on other issues.  Now, its at 2 hour job just to get everything setup for payments, so we decided to get the payment system working and this is the result.

If you have a problem with how we're paying you, then I suggest you stop using our service and wait until we have everything fixed in the beta.

@pirateat40 Whatever this guys is hashing at, I will gladly purchase more mining equipment to up my hashing power to your service so you no longer need his services.
