My miners haven't moved over to a backup pool, so hoping the hashes are still earning on Nicehash ...

Really? All my personal miners and 4 rentals running on 5 different algos have all moved to backup pools, maybe it's just the nicehash server location I'm using that's offline.

We are working on that too.

If your miners are hashing, then all shares are being paid for too.

If the Stratum Servers were working fine then why are your graphs showing that I was not hashing with you since 2pm today?

Here are some updates now:
- Stats are missing, because stats are generated on Web server, which wasn't running.
- Immediately after relaunch, we saw many algorithms paying way below what you might have been used to in past days/weeks. This is because many orders completed - ran out of BTCs, your miners switched to lower paying orders. If using p= parameter, your miners switched off NH/WH if the price went below your price threshold.
- Unpaid balances will not change. These are pretty accurately measured due to PPS reward system (there are no unexchanged coins you would wait for like on other multipools).

Seems awfully hard to believe that over those four hours that many orders completed.  Earlier in the day maybe two hours before the outage I looked at the orders page and it seemed like good paying orders were plentiful and long lasting.  .....but okay.

My client tells me you had an outage this afternoon. Does it count against anyone's profit for that period of time? I would think that since the back end was up for most of the time? all contributing miners are covered, correct?

Hi,

Issues with the web server are now resolved. Sorry for all the troubles, but our server provider had serious issues with the infrastructure.

During the time of web server maintenance all stratum servers were running and all shares have been accounted for and will be paid as usual according to our pay schedule.

Once again, sorry for this extreme downtime, but it was truly out of our hands and we worked hard hand-in-hand with our provider to resolve the issues.

Thanks!
Kind regards,
NiceHash

Nicehash/Westhash obviously just scammed hours of hashing at low/not profitable rates for anyone. I for one have removed all my miners from their network till we are properly compensated.

scammed? ...

there is that ridiculous word again ...

you know its a VERY simple thing that miners can do ... as we do with our farm ...

IF you ( as a miner ) are unsure for ANY reason - then you ( as a miner ) have the right and 'should' have the diligence of taking your hashrate elsewhere ...

we do ...

but we sure as hell wont call someone a scammer just because they had a hard time with their isp - unless we have concrete proof ...

especially coming from a newbie account ...

so predictable - its bloody amazing ...

You are obviously blind. Take just what I am missing from my unpaid balance and multiply that by 100 or maybe even 1000 and its absolutely exponential.  As a organized pool they could have easily shut down the stratum servers so we would be forced to backups but they did not.  Clear your eyes dude they made so much BTC from this today it's stupid, whether they tried to or not .
And a new account has nothing to do with the relevance of my statement. Just because I have never had anything to say on this forum till now has nothing to do with the validity of my claim.

thats just it ...

validity ...

assumptions as to what you ASSUMED they did based on your observations - as opposed to what they ACTUALLY did - based on - well - nothing that we can actually PROVE ...

i SEE quite well ... its just that if there was a governing body around - EVERYONE would have to comply ... but there isnt - sso assumptions are nothing more than YOUR opinion ...

which you are free to convey in the public arena ...

i agree with you that those who are unscrupulous SHOULD be caught out and hung to dry in public - so to warn others about it ...

but have the proof - not just assume ...

'look what happened here' and 'open your eyes and see the loss' are not statements of proof ...

it is a difficult thing this crypto world ... i sympathize with you - honestly ... i have lost also ...

but in a world where there is no governing body ( to make everyone responsible for their actions ) is just asking for this sort of thing to happen on a regular basis ( if indeed nicehash actually did 'rip off' coin - which i personally doubt ) ... entering this world is entering into a risk factor that is higher than most ...

we do it with our farm - we do it with our fiat - we do it with our time and effort ...

if you cant lose it - dont do it ... that what we live by ...

im not backing nicehash - im simply stating that by using their service ( or ANY service for that matter - which are NOT governed by ANYTHING but risk ) then expect downtime and issues and anomalies ...

your point is valid - but other than voice your opinion on your assumptions - what else can you do but put in a complaint and move your hashrate elsewhere ...

is there a legal precedence i dont know about that that you can use to chase this loss of hashrate? ...

The proof is they acted like nothing was wrong, they kept the stratum servers up, everyone in the network lost besides them, they guaranteed made out like bandits in not paying proper pay rates, and they failed to reply to any support emails on my end.
That is not any assumptions that is definitive proof.

Also i am a webmaster and if I chose a host that had that much downtime I would be fired from my job.  I understand you trying to discourage the word scam. But if it looks and smells like a scam and everyone loses besides one person its most likely a scam. Today was the only day this week I could hash all day because of heat concerns and I am now in the red.

Also I have taken your advice, in the future when something like this happens elsewhere I will simply move everything manually to just avoid the headache.
