first, Love the site - Well thought out User Interface.

Second, I've noticed the difficulty lagging behind on some coins compared to the blockchain explorer, coinwarz, pools etc.. currently seeing Lyra2REv2 about 10-15 minutes behind. Is there a way to fix, or to tell that the data isn't current via JSON data?

Last, I really love the site, and data isn't free so I can't be earning $$ while you pay for it, so is you prefered donation method  BTC: 1FanqAfDSCvQwzChwnvF3VGd9GTNV4n1tL ?

Thanks Smiley

Hmm stats are updated once ever 3 minutes, so the lag should not be greater than that.
Could you please show me which exact coin is lagging those 10-15 minutes and what are you comparing it to?
On the json you have a unix timestamp attribute, which marks last update made for given coin.

Are you running some kind of service that uses the data, or you just mean earning as mining?

Sure, you can donate to that BTC address Smiley

Oh, timestamp, that works!

and yes just mining/cloudmining
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

It should be added another ethash coin - SOIL - now in Cryptopia market... It could be profitable for mining, too.

Tons of coins are missing that are profitable.  The operator needs to get on the ball and keep the site updated.

Please add a coin request via https://whattomine.com/contacts/new for any coins you would like to see on wtm.

@bagder I have received the soil request, will try to process it this week (many emails pending)

@fredeq - The btc_revenue on the individual coins have is different than the btc_revenue on the main page. looking at Vertcoin and Monero currently. Seems to be closer the the btc_revenue24, but not exactly. Could you tell me what the differences are between the btc_revenue on the individual coins pages, and the btc_revenue and btc_revenue24 on the main page.

Formula is the same, only difficulty / block_reward used might differ, depends what you input in the calc.
Could you please link with exact numbers?

Just checked monero, matches for me.

But it matches with REV24hr.
Single calculators generally use difficulty_24 as default value, which matches the same used for REV24hr.

yeah, just confused as they use the same variable name to mean different things.

If I want revenue based on current difficulty for x11/dash for a specific hashrate, do I need to calculate that based on difficulty returned or is there a way to call the JSON page with the hashrate, using current difficulty?

Thanks!

Would make no sense to change the name on the single calculator, as this is always dependant on the difficulty you input (can be current, 24h, 3d and so on)
I see the confusing part though, guess this is lesser evil.

If you want to calculate with current difficulty, then you first need to call - read current difficulty, then make a second call with that as param.

Just wanted to say thanks fredeq you supply a great service and have done so since I got started in 2014. Wouldn't have made it through the bear market without your website thanks!
And yes I've donated a few satoshis and bought some miners using links on your site, but still don't think you get enough credit for what you do for the community so wanted to make a post when I saw the thread.  Cool

First, many thanks for your job !

I'm using your data to make my own profitability tool for my rigs Smiley

How can we obtain full json coin list, including those in "testing" ( like SIGT ) ?
( to automatically know last coins added )

Thanks !!!

EDIT : why DNR has exchange rate 0 ? it's active and has real value on Cryptopia

Thats a good idea to provide endpoint with list of all coins with statuses, I will try to add it this / next week. Feel free to chase me about this.

I have not yet finalized DNR addition, I think the formula is still wrong, so I havent added the price api.

Yeah, all coins in one request that would be great. As of now I have to request one coin at a time with custom hashrate and this hits "429 Too many requests" error sometimes. What's the server policy btw?

Also, is it possible to include the default calculator's hashrate into each coin's JSON? This way we could download the whole bunch in one setting and recalculate custom hashrates locally by simple multiplier. This could alleviate server stress as well.

Currently rate limit stands at 120prm. I might set a new limit and start selling unlimited access, no final thoughts yet.

What you are proposing with default hashrate would work for coins with very big nethash, but not for small ones.
If you are adding lets say 20% of current nethash then the rewards will not increase linearly, as your addition would significantly raise difficulty.

Just tested DNR with 100MHs.
In 1h, pool gives me 0.3153DNR.
For 24h, it's ~7.5DNR
Your formula gives me ~6.5DNR ( with 1 diff value of course )
So, your formula is not so bad Smiley
