one of the explorers is wrong/has the chain of the fork from a few days ago. we aren't sure which explorer is correct. exchanges are probably waiting for both to clear 17500

okay. re-downloaded latest wc client (1.0.2.0; mac), re-downloaded chain - I am still already at 17728 i think you're right. did moganzo say PoW would totally stop at 17500? or just that the exchanges would open up after passing 17500? it's possible the exchanges are looking at the wrong explorer which hasn't hit 17500 yet. i don't really know, i'm sure either mogonzo or the exchanges will clarify soon enough. it's possible PoW doesn't end, it just doesn't give out a reward.

its also possible our clients have the wrong chain downloaded. how do you make sure your client wallet has the correct chain? you have to edit the config file right? and make sure the correct IP addresses are in there? we probably are on the correct chain, but it's something to consider.

I'm a little confused, I thought when POW ends and pOS starts mining ends. How are blocks still being released? Are there really two chains? Why would the newest wallet have the wrong chain address? Its brand new by current devs.

POS also 'mines' (stakes) new blocks, so sure block amount will go up. regarding the different chains in different explorer, I can also not help further. just redownloaded again the wallet, delete all files beside the wallet.dat - and re-downloaded chain --> now 17754 edit: in debug window Current number of blocks 17757 Estimated number of blocks 17478 This fits somehow to both explorer, one for each - just not sure what it means

on IRC, Oizopower-- a DEV, says the block explorer isn't working properly. He's working on it right now. 14 Blocks to go until Ex's R satisfied and will open D's & W's. So we'll C

Do block explorers have any effect of how a coin functions? No, right? A block explorer can be messed up but the coin be perfectly fine?

seattletu--- U R correct. But Exchange's R separate entities and can accept/notaccept, allow D's & W's as they C fit. We R waiting on them to be satisfied everything is safe

So the wallet literally "mines" coins but solo miners and pools are unable to? I loaded the new wallet yesterday afternoon, went through the update process no problems. Do I need to resynch to be sure its on the right chain?
