Focus more on bitstamp, you might like btc-e for the prices, but you`ll hear a lot of complaints.

This is from ACH deposits taking way too long or other misc problems that hold up your money.

Keep in mind you also need to get verified, with other details that people fail to mention.

True, but my funds get delayed. And support sucks at responding..

I always have to buy like a btc-e code from someone.

BTC-E is the best. Here are the reasons:

1. One of the oldest exchanges
2. Located outside the EU / US
3. Ease of deposits / withdrawals
4. Availability of other crypto-currencies
5. Right now, the largest BTC volumes.
6. Never been hacked or DDoSed.

It depends on what you want to do. I'm a bot coder, so the API is maybe the feature, that matters most to me.

BTC-E is the best. Here are the reasons:
...
6. Never been hacked or DDoSed.

Not sure if it has been hacked, but it definitely has been ddos'ed quite often.

Btc-e got hacked in 2012 and they lost around 4500 btc, which they covered from their own pockets. Localbitcoins was hacked recently, with people who had coins stored on their localbtc wallets reporting they got robbed. Every exchange can and will get hacked. Even giant corporations and governments systems get hacked frequently.

To be clear, are you talking about an exchange for converting between fiat and BTC, or an exchange for converting between BTC and other coins, or an exchange that lets you do both?
