An asset issued on TA is permissioned. So a central authority can for sure lock/burn an asset (the USDt) minted on LN using TA. This is not in any way meaning that Tether can censor any LN transaction.
Of course you're correct, but that's also approximately what I wrote. I didn't want to go much into the details here because it's semi off topic. But I would certainly be happy to have a stablecoin option on Exch which works on the Bitcoin network, even if it uses Taproot Assets. At least on the network level, Taproot Assets is uncensorable. This is different on ERC-20 tokens with blacklist features: there, the "send" function of the token checks first if the address is blacklisted before sending it, and only if not, a "sending" action is performed. In addition, PoS is less secure than Bitcoin's PoW, Ethereum tends still to have high fees (in contrast to LN), and one needs also an Ethereum client (or something like Metamask, some people don't like these centralized wallet providers). The censorable/centralized element in TA is the "universe" function. I think the best explanation is in this Stacker news thread I already linked in the Tether thread (linked on the last page here), for those wanting to know the details. De facto, as people would normally use the "official universe" of Taproot Assets, it is censorable on the "universe" level but not on the network level. The Omni token instead isn't censorable in the same way because Omni lacks an universe function, but Tether could of course still refuse to exchange certain transactions for USD, for compliance reasons. I hope it's relatively clear now, I hope to not have to post more about that topic (discussion about Tether should better go here).

There are some issues with the order being processed. I have deposited significant amount of Monero on the exchange and they wouldn't process the order but to blame node issues with no ETAs for fix or processing my order. I have tried to connect with other channels, but seems like there is no sign of response. If they don't process the order within 24 hours will update details with the signed letter of guarentee here.
Hi same here. This was the only message I received, nothing since. SUPPORT / Mon Feb 17 01:30:53 2025 Hi, it seems we have some issue with our node. Our relevant team will do what's necessary as soon as possible (no ETA). Regards, Rindolf from eXch

Hi same here. This was the only message I received, nothing since. At the beginning, both of you should check if you are on the original exch site. It must be https://exch.cx/What should relax you is that eXch always resolves all issues. If it's an Ethereum node, I won't be surprised, knowing that they had a problem with the ETH node before.

Question for support. What happens when you use on exch.cc UTXOs from a mixer? Many exchanges give you problems on this, blocking funds, making registration mandatory or other silly things. What is the policy here? In ever had any problem, but better sage than sorry.

I think they've answered similar questions multiple times, I would also understand this from their first rule in the ToS Eligibility: Any person can create and perform exchange operations on our service. We do not discriminate or have any rejection criteria. https://exch.cx/tosIt's certainly ok if they officially confirm it here as well.

I have recently had a horror story with another exchange (used to do some "experiment" with some unsupported product from exch.cx) about this situation. The ToS didn't state anything explicitly, but they banned my account. So, I am looking for clear, honest answers. EDIT: typo

Oh, I just noticed you're talking about exch. cc That domain is not owned by the official eXch service, so it can be considered a phishing site. The official domains are exch.cx and exch.pw There was a discussion about it recently and here is confirmation Good catch.
I also tried exch[.]cc, and it is not redirecting. It shows the same page but with exch[.]cc instead of exch.cx
I believe this is confusing, users may think one of them is someone else impersonating exch.cx. Also, it may hurt SEO, as we have duplicated pages.
All domains should be redirected to the main one
exch[.] cc is a phishing link and does not belong to eXch anymore, don't be scammed by using it! (By the way can you please edit the links in your message?)

After recent issues with ethereum node I would again suggest eXch to work more on adding some alternative option for stable coins, as both USDT and USDC listed on eXch are on ethereum chain. I am not sure if LN already added support for USDT, but Liquid is already supporting it with lowest transaction fees from other alternatives. Aqua wallet after recent update supports addresses from ethereum, tron, binance, solana and polygon chain.

Corporate ethics. Loyalty vs users’ right Doing what is right when it is right. Not everyone adheres to these simple principles to maximise their profit.
1.5B is peanuts for them, maybe a few weeks worth of revenues. Much more concerning for them is the loss of confidence. Hopefully, you will have an answer.

Yet another fake news website called "Cryptopolitan" trying to throw dirt at us by calling eXch "a mixer": https://www.cryptopolitan.com/lazarus-laundering-40000-ether-bybit/This is a prime example of amateur journalism and blatant disinformation at its finest, basing on random posts from people on Twitter having absolutely zero professional formation in this field, using the "mixer" card as always just to attack us.

"The wheel is come full circle..." What goes around comes around I guess. It's difficult not to call them scumbags. They didn't feel obliged to communicate with you because it didn't benefit them in any way, but now when their ass is on fire, they ask for your help. My guess is they will try to pressure you if you don't play ball, threatening with legal actions and public slander. Please tell us if they decide to reply to that e-mail and what they said.
