I know Im super later, but do we know anything about bounties for this? Do they still exist?

I think this phase is over, bounty should happen if you find bugs in the project. Must wait for the XMR staff to report Smiley

Everytime I think I know something I forgot what it was. Smiley
My thoughts exactly. [quickly scribbles the thought down]

Still, even the fact that I see the mountain ahead of the anthill I just climbed, is enough for me at this point.

One thing I do know? Monero is king.

We can all agree on that! Smiley

My wallet is running for a day and a half syncing and it hasn't passed 40 000 blocks remaining

What's the problem?

It was synced a couple of days ago I believe, and for the whole day and a half hasn't passed the 40k mark. It was 40ish k for this whole day.

maybe you should restart your client again ,or add more node ,or cancle blockchain then syncing again.

It was the first thing I tried

Perhaps it has something to do with this:

It seems to be working!
Thanks Cheesy
Hope it will sync like it just started until the end Cheesy

If it's stuck on a certain block, please try this:

Something interesting happened 2 weeks ago, I received some XMR on my old mining address that I've used till a year ago.
After investigation I noticed it came from a block with timestamp (2016-04-30).

No idea on which pool I was mining at that time so no real good way to check the source I guess. Anyone else seen this happen recently? Getting transactions with such a delay?

Seems more likely that you didn't refresh the wallet for a long time.

I know its bad practice but the mining "wallet" is actually on an Exchange. I've had normal transactions on that wallet recently.

Please tell me how you can restore an old wallet, the new monero-v0.10.3.1 does not recognize it.

Hello!
Please, help me solve the problem. I bought XMR on the stock exchange, decided to withdraw it to my personal wallet. I installed it on the computer, and wallet began to synchronize the blockchain. An hour later I realized that it was for a long time, but I saw that the "Send" tab is active and the address for receiving funds has already been generated. I used it to withdraw funds from the stock exchange. The stock gave me txid (9885081d3ee2960dcc49a641559ce08e537785feb245f87fa4f495b1ce92d698). But after 4 days, after downloading the blockchain, these funds are not visible in my wallet. I tried to transfer from the exchange still a small amount to the same address and the second transaction I get at my address.
Is it possible to see/get somehow the first transaction in my wallet?

Which wallet are you using? Also, are you fully synced? You can check this by opening monerod manually and typing the following command:

Code:
status

Please post the output here.

I use monero-gui-0.10.3.1-beta2 from getmonero.org.
I sought than I was fully synced because the app was running ~4 days and network status was Connected (during sync was Sync). But when I run Status in monerod.exe sync is only "Height: 61200/1369184 (4.5%) on mainnet ..." so I will wait till 100%. After that, I will write status here.
Thanks dEBRUYNE!

the main issue I found is that the local verification is what takes ages. Especially if somewhat lowish on on ram and so on. There is a cli command somewhere which specifies from which blockheight to verify. If you have only recent transactions it saves a lot of time. Cant remember the exact syntax but seek and ye shall find....Also a quick route to something aking to a lightwallet is connecting to a remote node. Pretty safe and quick to be ready
